Got the R24-01 build in. So got that loaded up. Oh look, I can select the cert when I shouldn't be able to, and I can't select it when I should be able to. Neat. How did this work perfectly in the patch but you screwed it up so badly here? Anyway, wrote two bugs. Spoiler: See Tuesday.

Finished the next chapter. About to break into the lich's castle.

Saw my parents briefly, they're going out tonight. Went shopping. Came back home.

Did game, but talked about the new system (did you ever finish Monsterus?) until 9:30 ish.
Then game proper, didn't get too far but at least we're in the right place. We got attacked in the night, got new news about finding our opponent, then headed to the start of the zombie apocalypse.

Sat:
Cleaned up.
Looked at the pac-man book. Dusted some of my collection off. Who allowed all this dust in here? Was it a cat? It must have been a cat it wasn't me.
Added a couple of things to the gift list that interested me from the book and were fairly inexpensive. Like the trash can is far too much as is the lamp. But there are some neat things I could go for.
Checked sites.
Looked at the new game stuff and finished up my v1 of the character spreadsheet. It's really more notes than anything so it's hard to break it at this point but you know I'm going to do my best!
Had lunch.
Worked on updating the spell list. I really must have used an early version the page numbers were at least 10 off. I found some spells with their grade changed, and even took a spell away that used to be there? And added a few to the list that were not there. So that's all good. I didn't finish, there are like 500 spells to look over. Even I can't keep that up forever.
Parents came. It had started to snow, and there were warnings about it.
Had the movie, then did some xbox.

Sun:
Didn't snow much last night, but it really started coming down this morning about 9:30.
Went back to work on the spell list. Got it done, found a few more mistakes, both on my side and Sean's side. He loves it when I point them out. He does! Weird that we missed some of those things in the first place, but then, I wasn't alphabetizing them when reading them all those years ago.
Snow was on again off again, sometimes sunny, sometimes a white out. Very odd. Thank goodness I didn't have to go anywhere.
Watched a movie.
Checked my sites, did my daily reading.
Ate dinner.
Got ready for tomorrow.
Started a movie.
Did more xbox.

Mon:
Finished the movie.
Whoops dad has covid. Hang in there dad. Let's hope you didn't infect me two days ago. But if my mother doesn't have it- yet- then maybe I'm safe. He wasn't coughing or anything so maybe he wasn't spreading it too much?

Then finished the last book in the Expanse series. Only took me a year. To be fair the series is 9 books. I know, I used to read faster? Now I have to hunt around for what to read next! Maybe something that won't take me a whole year- I know I'll start book one of the Wheel of Time series!!!!

Had to say, it was pretty nice to curl up on the couch with a blankie, a book, a kitty, and just read a bunch. Let's see, next day off is....... May. Sigh.

Started working on my Valentine's day gift, got the first part done with just the things I had on hand. Ordered the rest of it. Nice. Oh, you think it's too early? It's not that far away folks, believe me.

Got ready for tomorrow, back to work time. Then did xbox with the others. We finally got the ambassador blueprint we were after.

Tues:
So Kevin says the feature I was testing last week doesn't actually exist? So I got an email from the developers saying "use this in you testing" and now that's not what I should use? Get your story straight, people.

Got a machine back on the network. Some... person... put it on 802.1x and that of course knocked it off the network. Not sure what they were trying to achieve, they would never see the result unless they came into the lab. So strange.

Emailed Tim about the "performance review" and he later sent out a global email saying he would start scheduling them today. They're due on the 19th so he's clearly a man that doesn't wait until the last minute to do things. Mine is 3:00-3:15 on Thursday. So looking forward to it. Wait, what's the opposite of that?

Tracked the package with the usb stuff. They had the address wrong, the zip code was transposed, to start with. Good thing someone is on the case or it would have sat there for days and days because why would anyone actually check the number to see where it was?

Otherwise thought about plot, how to proceed with the lich's castle. Finished my current story, started another. I think I know what I want to happen with the lich. Not some epic battle, he's not going to attack 3 presumed paladins no matter how powerful he considers himself.

Went to the vet, got some "calm yourself down" meds for Tinker for next week. Let's hope he's not as ornery this time.

Then home. Very cold outside, 24 degrees or so. Yuck. At least I wasn't at a bill's game where I had to shovel my own seat out.

Oh right we almost had a meeting about oneDrive (again) but one guy was at a funeral and another was experiencing storm related shenanigans while the guy that did show up complained of a migraine. Huh, Don was complaining he had one last Friday. Something going around that creates migraines? Odd.

Wed:
Pretty busy today. Got the file for a color table for PCL. I guess we can tweak the colors on our devices. Buuuuuut it doesn't look like it works. Whoops. They "tested" it on D8.0 which, uh, isn't going to be available to customers for months, maybe a year. So that seems sort of pointless. You have to use what the customer actually has, which is D7.8. Were it doesn't work. So I was back and forth with that much of the time.

Also had a meeting about the LDAP enhancements. I guess they decided to just add it to the log rather than try and display it on the UI. So it's a little more involved than I would like. But still not that bad. No spec yet.

Tomorrow is three meetings, a review of a document, the normal status meeting, and at 3:00 meeting with Tim my so called manager. Pointless. And in another building, so I get to rush over there and try to find the place after the status meeting at 2:00. Maybe I'll go over there in the morning, find where it is? That's an idea.

Came back here, checked sites, videos. Ate dinner.

Very cold today, almost single digits.

Started a different game. Sakura Dungeon from what I read just goes on and on, and the usual "you take two steps and get attacked randomly" mechanic isn't doing it any favors.

Thurs:
Our one meeting got canceled. This must be what allowed me to start writing the next chapter. Again, we couldn't have it because many people could not be there!

We also did more with the silly color tables thing. We have determined that perhaps the change is simply too subtle for my unkeen eye to detect. Christina thinks this is nonsense and they would never complain about such a minor color offset. I am inclined to agree. We will see how it proceeds from here, but it is doing "something" we think.

I read over a document for a later meeting, and found one error. I went looking for my "manager's" office so I would not spend panicked minutes looking for it later in the day. Would I do that? Nooooo.

We had the normal status meeting, and learned via email our original package may have walked off. Silly package, why did you do that?

Then I met with the manager dude. To paraphrase, it went like this: "Dude, heard great things, get out of here!" "K Thax bye!"

He said with my CS background I should go into coding. If only. That train left the station 20 years ago my friend. He must not read this blog like all you hip cats to know that recently tried and failed to get into codingtown with Swift. It defeated me. Clearly I am no longer meant for coding. Besides, if I did that I would have to leave this great group of one other person, and may have more work to do, thus not being able to write. Also everything would become my fault. Why would I want that sort of negativity in my life. Go away. Leave me to my bug finding, which I'm actually quite amazing at, if I do say so myself.

No really, it was a short meeting probably took longer to walk there than to meet with the guy. How could it be otherwise, he doesn't know what the heck I'm doing he doesn't come to any of my meetings he's two layers removed from that crap.

Came back here, it was gently snowing. Making me infuriated as you may well guess.

Checked sites, videos, and ate the usual dinner.

Let's look ahead. With my both my parents sick there shall be no visitation tomorrow. I have some meetings I think, maybe more color table shenanigans? Hard to say. I will do the shopping. We'll probably do game, ah the zombie things right, right.

One job Saturday, should be a short one, and again with Pyre. If we finish that adventure it'll be the end of book 1. I know! Exciting stuff.

Sunday, not sure. Lazing around as usual I suppose.
