Because that is what we do, that is why.

Just two jobs in the last two days, but don't worry I got five calls today out of nowhere so thanks for being timely and all that fellows.

Yesterday my favorite Dell 2400 system. Oh, it's so slow! Yeah, maybe if you had more then 256MB of RAM your computer wouldn't be so pathetic? Ran the usual scans, took off the second wireless USB adapter plugged into the system. I don't understand it either.

Today I met a person who had Road Runner in his house… and was still using AOL dial up on an 800Mhz iMac. Wow. The wireless was for the iPad, which is what, 4x faster? You may remember in January of 2010 I purchased a wireless adapter that plugged into an ethernet port. I purchased it for a some guy who never called me back about it. Anyway, I was finally able to utilize this device. As he had no cable hook up in the room (WTF?) and no wireless card in the iMac, that was the only solution. I mean really, Time Warner didn't ask, "were your computer at?" when they came to hook up RR? Really? How long has he been plodding along with dial up, AND PAYING AOL AT THE SAME TIME $25 A MONTH? Wow, I just mean, wow. So AOL stops fleecing yet another sucker, I made sure to cancel that little expense, so two months later the equipment will pay for itself. I mean if you want to throw $25 a month away, send it to me, I need it way more then AOL does. Stupid AOL. He's now using an older version of Firefox as is proper. May he never open the AOL application again. Just in case you were wondering, yes, he was old.

Then dropped off the 56.85 pound box of circuit boards at fedex. See, with Apple's new recycling initiative I plugged a few of the machines I have around here in (this is a zero value machine, no really) and got to thinking about those 150 lbs of circuit boards in my upstairs. I had previously looked into what to do with them, but didn't find anything. I found one place, but they wouldn't process less then a TON and charged a processing fee and whatnot. Then I found another place who provided me a shipping label for free and said "just send us the stuff, we'll send you a check." so I figured what did I have to lose? So the first box went out today. If I get more then ten cents for the stuff, I have another 40lbs box and a 60lbs box now cleaned up and ready to go. I guess they grind them up into little bits and use various methods for extracting the metals in them. As for the crappy systems, I guess it's still just leaving them sitting around here or in the case of PCs, tearing them apart as I always have.

Do I have to claim that money as "income"? I mean, the PCs I've torn apart have been gathered the last ten years, they were basically garbage. Now I may make money from garbage. I mean I'm expecting thousands and thousands of dollars… haaahahahahahha. Whew.

Otherwise, gave a suggestion to one person who had emailed me. Tried to call one person back, no answer. Looked for things to recycle or send in to the Amazon Trade in program I also just learned of. Stupid program doesn't give you much for stuff, all the things I checked on their site were lower then what I saw going for on ebay, there goes my big plan to buy something cheap on ebay and turn around and sell it to Amazon. Shucks. But the one thing I do have, my old GPS unit, I could get as much as $30 for, where they don't go on ebay at all. So that's something, I guess.

Too wet to paint, what with the tremendous volume of rain we've gotten around here the past two days. Honestly, it was pouring around here. Reduced visibility and everything. Guess it was making up for the dryness before.

Game tomorrow, back to Demongate, gonna make me a chainsaw sword, oh yeah! No Fantasy game next week, boo hiss. No game next week at all by the sounds of it. What will become of me?

Also scheduled the removal of the old refrigerator. Sheesh, a week wait time, and they'll call me 24-48 hours beforehand with a "four hour time window" I'm expected to wait around for. Yeah. It's right there, just take it already.

Got to episode 62 on Robotech. The Macross series was really the best I think. But then, I'm only a couple of episodes into the Genesis Climber MOSPEADA arc, and I do love those motorbikes!

Up to 6 calls now. Where we all you people two days ago, eh?

Have a good weekend!
