Fri:
Looked into the Joe thing today, discovered what he wanted was completely not going to work. But found him something that would and we already own the hardware so it's just making a new cover, really.

Did a little writing, only got about 1/3 the way done.

Had a long meeting to check a single checkbox. That I emailed complete instructions for days ago. Yes, these people are really on the ball. Oh and no one was in the office. None of them were, that is. An hour meeting for a single checkbox. Why me?

Did the shopping, doesn't it feel like I just did this? Weird.

Saw my parents, and a bird! But no kitties. Maybe the bird scared them away?

Came back here, checked sites. Did game. It went fine until we had to fight a bunch of living fire, and all my attacks are fire. Except the one that's electricity, but I have to hit something for that to work.
Yeah, give the guy that hits stuff a bunch of floating fire he can't hit to fight. That seems reasonable. Neil dealt with it I was just the distraction which you know, sometimes all you can be is the distraction. I'm not mad at it. We got past it and lived, and that's all that matters. We talked to the dude, got his quest, and are on our way for next week. Good thing he needed that other thing done or he might have been like "well, if I had some chore for you to do I would totally get you to do it and then I could totally train you but I don't so you're out of luck, kid." Also, is he just sitting inside his sealed room waiting for someone to come around? Seems odd to me, but if that's what makes him happy I guess go for it dude. Have to rememmber to bring a nice chair back for the cat, and a deck of cards maybe?

Sat:
Cleaned up.
Did the shopping. Nice when a whole bunch of it can be done in one place. And I don't just mean "the internet" I mean one store. My O button is acting up. Hummm.

Checked sites. Seems early for lunch but it's past 12:00. Oh, that's what happens you get up late I guess.
Got through the array stuff in playgrounds. The app stuff is all about swiftUI. You know, the thing I don't want to use? Yeah, that. Hummm.
Still, I guess I am getting a better understanding of what's going on in swift apps, which is what I need? Went at that for a few hours. Looked over that sample app about the time, which was really about using the "old" UI builder tool with the "new" swift code. Still not exactly sure how it all fits together but maybe that's just one way to do it? Maybe I can do things a different way.
I wrote the first chapter of the new story. Yes, I know, I should finish one tale before beginning anew but I had it written in my head for like two days now and didn't want to lose it. I think I've decided on a title? "I was thrilled to be Isekai'd but didn't think I would become a mother quite so fast." The direction the notes are going is she first meets a bunch of displaced people fleeing some kind of attack on their village, which she deals with, but then due to circumstances adopts a young girl that was orphaned in the attack and so now instead of flying around doing whatever she now finds herself flying around doing whatever with her daughter which I assume is a very different thing. We'll see how it goes.

Parents came over. We did a christmas movie from Italy! It was okay.
Then more xbox for the new content. We speedran the entire week of challenges to raise our level and get some goodies. Why is Sean's level going up slower than my level? We should be getting the same number of points. It's really odd! We both started from nothing but I'm further along than he is. Wha?

Sun:
Did my usual morning reading and sites.
Had lunch.
Started making a pie.
Did the painting, though it'll need some touchups. Now to figure out how to hang it. It has to be very, very sturdy if I'm going to hang it upside down because I don't want it falling all to pieces. I guess some kind of glue, a very thick glue.
Worked on the new story. Basically the main character's character sheet. She has a lot of skills, but only at a 1.
That took longer than I would like to admit. I did some writing too, finished chapter 2 as I had her done.
Did Sunday stuff.
Watched the claymation special.
Three calls. Two jobs for this week, but one is just the laptop. That's Wednesday. Tomorrow is just someone with some odd problems. So she says. The third person I helped over the phone. Stupid spectrum mail. You look up the settings, and try to use the "official" settings on the official site, but they're actually wrong. I have to correct so many people's settings I should actually make my own document with them to refer to. Hate spectrum mail so much.
Then did xbox with the others.

Mon:
Not much work wise today. I doubt there will be for the rest of the year either, but you never know.

Worked on the new story. Got a chapter and a half done. Would have done more but I'm up to the big fight with 20 trolls vs one dragon and a newly arrived mage. Spoiler- the dragon wins.

Yucky today. Looks like another thing that probably won't change before the end of the year.

Went to second job. Her laptop just needed to be clicked through on the annoying update screens MS likes to show you.
Her phone needed to be logged out of facebook from some person she admitted she gave her phone to.
Her desktop was dead. 2016 HD, the hardware test took 2 seconds to give me the failure message. I was able to get most of her stuff off though. But that took 2 hours. And of course the 20 minute journey home took 40 minutes because of traffic waves. There was no accident, just the ghost of it, propagating back forever.

Finally home at 7:00 (ugh) I made my one call. Just a few simple Mac questions.

Still, eating dinner, checking sites, I'm not running that battle tonight here. That's okay, I still have plenty in the other story to write.

Tues:
I did actually do some work today, if you count "work" as "running into the lab across the hall to get a printer output and tell Don about its characteristics." You do? Great, then I did work. I also helped him get lpr working on the machine, so he could submit the job that way. Not sure what he's trying to accomplish with it but he's hard at work doing whatever.

I made a ton more notes about the entire next arc of the new story. A whole demon/king/who is in the wrong conundrum. Should be nice.
Then I finished the chapter of the other story. Got the demons all excited about their new home, as long as the remnants come back from space with plenty of rocks for them to use as building material. Spoiler, they do.

Otherwise no haul, it's dated today so maybe tomorrow? Won't be much either way.

Came back here, checked sites. Ate dinner. Ran the battle. That finished that chapter, and I did a tiny bit of the next one so I didn't forget anything I wanted to have happen, like her getting her second tail.

Wed:
Got a good haul at work today. If you're only talking about snacks. I got 20 packages of crackers, must be a dozen cinnamon buns, half dozen bear claws, several cookies. 4 tubs of cinnamon toast crunch cereal. More dry 'make it right in the tub' mac and cheese. And like 3 sandwiches. Plus one box meal. So the box I was using was pretty full, but only with enough sugar to kill ya.

I realized something too, when I was putting the cereal in the bag. I don't actually have to buy milk anymore. The fancy new drink dispenser they installed will dispense both hot and cold chocolate milk. Along with other beverages. Why am I still buying milk like a chump? Doesn't make sense, just bring the mug over there and load up at lunch time. So simple.

Had a meeting, finally getting some support with the onedrive people so we must have gotten some kind of money thing signed. Always good. A bit late but good news.

Also met with Don for a few minutes, he was like "oh shoot this guy wants a meeting after all I'll be back!" What a liar. He never came back and he had the whole day he stopped in around 10:00 I think it was.

Oh, also set up a device for testing some card readers, and they were fine. So we have some new card readers.

Finished the last chapter and another chapter. This story is just more fun and easier to write. Go figure. No really, go.

Came back here, checked sites, ate dinner.

And even more writing. I'm actually up to 8.5 chapters of this thing. She's made it to her first real town!

Meeting today, a few sort of minor tasks await us in the coming days. Should be fine.

I don't think there was much work wise today. I did do some color stuff with Christina, no not finger painting. Scanner calibration. Saved Don's lunchbox as he forgot it.

Went to second work. She didn't have much to transfer so I figured, why not just do it over wi-fi? Should save me time because then I don't have to copy somewhere then copy it off, or change permissions on everything and take the laptop apart. HAHA It's windows. It took two hours. To copy like 10gb of files. Not even. Love seeing 0kb/sec over a link of any speed. It's the best.

Got home around 7:00. Ate dinner. Quickly checked sites, it's the day to post a new fanfiction chapter. Got ready for tomorrow. Told Sean 8:30 for xbox, I still have a call to make about a printer.

Coming up, see my parents, maybe do some work tomorrow. We'll see how it goes.

Game on Saturday. I've gotten most gifts in. Not time to wrap just yet, but maybe Sunday I'll work on whatever I'm doing for the game this year, and look for a thing or two to finish my shopping. Or maybe Saturday depending on how the call goes and I'm not working. We'll see.
