I got 11 calls over the weekend, so naturally I only booked two for tomorrow. But when I only get two or three, I usually book all of them. Weird huh?
So Friday went pretty well, #1 was a guy with a cool house, all the doors were camouflaged into the walls, so if you didn't know right where they were, you wouldn't be able to get anywhere in the house. Wild. Oh, and he wouldn't. Shut. Up. Having a high PER doesn't mean you blather on constantly, you know. That's just being a motormouth. You want to be in the same room, fine, but shut up and let me work.
Next I went to see the lady out in chili I had seen twice before. The one I replaced the power supply for, turns out it wasn't that. So I had a processor, so I changed that. We'll see. No call about it yet.
Then over to Tinseltown to await Sean/Mizzy who invited me to see Prince of Persia. Sadly while I was in the parking lot I got a call that Moriarty, Mizzy's new rat, was dead. He had been having some problems, but he had just been to the vet that morning, so it was a bit of a surprise.
What was also a surprise was their insistence on cremating him. They had the other two rats done as well. I see that as sort of an affront against nature. Releasing the energy stored in a body that way benefits no one, all you get is a bunch of dust. Put him in the ground where he belongs, and that energy will instead allow plants to grow, completing the circle of life. Heck, I buried Amanda out in the back yard, in winter! So I know she's now part of that tree out there, rather then just being dust, something I should think would give much more comfort. But to each their own.
So I went over there (it's just down the street), went with them to the vet, then to the movie. It was good, though they really downplayed the power of the dagger, they hardly use it! I guess the effect was too expensive or something? From what I understand of the game it's a major game tool, not something you would only use once. Oh well, still pretty good.
Then over to grandmas, had a ham and cheese sandwich.
Home. Tried to play 3 player halo wars but apparently it only supports two players. So crap. Did firefight instead.
Saturday I did one job out by the co-op, she just needed a new keyboard. No big deal.
Spent the rest of the day putting characters in and finalizing plot, we finally did my Demon Gate High game I put together like a year or two ago. They got through it well, but not too easily, exactly as I hoped. I hope they had fun. I got some feedback on the character creator and it somehow failed to save Mizzy's character, which was totally weird as I've done like a dozen now and it's always worked. Wish I knew what went wrong. Did some cleaning too.
Then today. Drew was supposed to come at 12:00, but called at 10:00 and said, "yeah, I'll be there in half an hour." good thing I saw the little call light blinking and went to see who it was. But he approved the edits and I can finish that up. Also did some reading, crap, I forgot to cut my lawn! I was going to. Well, shoot, I guess I'll do it *checks weather* well, maybe not tomorrow, if it rains. Oh well. Can't believe I forgot. What else, oh, Dr. Who of course. Bye Rory. You won't be missed. But I like Amy just as much as Ace from Dr Who of old, even if she doesn't carry around explosives.
Odd as it seems, I'm off to bed at this "early" hour of 10:00. Staying up late the last couple of days makes an old man tired. Good thing I'm young and have Tireless, but I still feel like resting. No library tomorrow, good thing I got extra books out last week I didn't read. So just shopping tomorrow, two jobs, maybe the lawn after that.
