Window was done fast, like in two hours. It's so clear, you'd hardly know it was there. Now can we keep it that way? 

Spent a bunch of time trying to find OS 9.2.2 and copy it to an old mac. I had two ancient macs down in my basement, and I was doing basement things while the two guys worked. Figured I would finally combine them. Of course the newer machine had no hard drives, and the drives from the older machine didn't have the right display drivers. Well, I downloaded what I think is the right file but it needed 9.2.2. Yeah, good luck at this point. I found the "international english" version which of course wouldn't load. Other versions I found wouldn't copy, run, or something else. Sigh. 

Called the guy with the printer issue, going there at 5:30. 

Listed the two items, do you know ebay charges .40 to list for 10 days? So I just scheduled them for Monday to run for a week, for free. Take that, ebay.

Cleaned up the living room again.

Took delivery of a PC for the accountant guy, got that ready to go. 

Got one call thus far, for a clean out, I'll call her back tonight and hopefully go over tomorrow, since I'll have the day free.

The PC was running Win7 Pro, but for some insane reason, a 32 bit version. With 4GB of RAM. Who made that decision? So I had to drop back into windows, download a copy of 7Pro (thank you bittorrent) and make a new flash drive with it. (I refuse to install from spinning plastic) Finally got that done and started the 131 updates needed. Played a little Path of Exile while I waited. Found some new armor which will hopefully keep me from getting creamed now that I'm in act three.

Went over to see the kitties, only two more times!

Booked one job for tomorrow, at 11:00.

Sat:

Finished up that PC, so I don't have to have it sitting there, depressing me, when I get back. 

Did the one job, which was actually an old iMac. A lampshade iMac, to be precise. That took a little doing to get the hard drive out, but I managed it. I would have rather left it intact, but I didn't know how she would respond to me saying 'yeah, I'll erase it' because it was her husband that really dealt with me (some years ago) not her. But she gave me the pieces which I could put back together if I wanted to make it work again. Plus a few other things to sell, which I will do when I get back. 

Did a little more cleaning and such around here. More getting ready type stuff, you know. 

HIT HALF A MILLION WORDS IN THE HARRY POTTER STORY.

Oh, sorry, got a little excited there. It's up to 500,754 words. So just made it. The end has begun, and the final chapters will play out. I wrote down my notes for what's about to happen so I can (remember) finish it up when I get back. 

Heather is coming slightly earlier so I might not have to go over there tomorrow. 

Everything is coming together. Only one more day and I'm out of here.

Got two calls with the new message about me being closed. Both hung up without leaving a message. 

I feared one of two things would happen. 1) I would come home to zillions of calls. 

2) I would come home to none, everyone having found someone else and I lost a whole bunch of business. 

No other outcomes are possible. It's the nature of the universe. 

Ah well. Another hour and I go to see the kitties and birdies, so we'll figure something out and then we'll go!

Sun:

Played some more Path of Exiles, did last minute stuff, went to see my parent's cats one last time. Yeah, not too exciting but what do you want? It's tomorrow! Didn't I just get told about this trip a few weeks ago or something? It's been more then a year. Sheesh. 

Heather did get home early, and safely, so I didn't have to go over there. So that's good. Now she gets to take care of my kids.

And then at 7:30 I went to bed! Did I remember to set my alarm? Ah well, I probably did, no big deal if I didn't...
