Anyway, a few days ago, say monday or maybe tuesday this dog appeared in my neighbor's fenced in area. I, like most people in that situation, thus had the thought of "oh, my neighbors got a dog." The dog didn't seem to have any food or water, but I can only see part of the yard, so I figured he did someplace over there. I tried to approach him but he barked and carried on, so I figured he did not want to be friends yet. Later he was gone so I figured he had been taken inside the house.
The next day he was back, so I again tried to "sniff tails" with him but he would have none of it. Again I didn't see any water, so I was going to drop a container of water over the fence, to see if he really did have some off camera, at which point I would have elevated to Orange Level of concern. I showed it to him, but again he did not let me approach so he got nothing.
Later that evening I heard someone talking, and there was a woman standing on my driveway feeding him. Now why didn't I think of that, I asked Brain. Brain replied "uhhhh".
Then she did a curious thing. She tried to get a rope around his neck! I was thinking "What the heck are you doing, lady?" She succeeded, and predictably the dog flipped out and she had to let go.
When next I looked, a man had joined her, inside the fence, and was shoving the dog into a large carrier with a dog shoving stick.
Dog has not been seen since.
So what the smeg was up with this dog? Did he jump the fence and then couldn't figure out how to jump it again? Did a barking dog not alert the inhabitants that they had a dog in their backyard? For almost two days? Very odd situation all around.
Work has been pretty good this week, a good mix of things, without too much aggravation. Four yesterday, three the day before that. Just one scheduled for today, but after I finish this entry I'm calling one person I didn't reach yesterday, see if they're around.
Had the supplemental game on Tuesday which went well. I think our new player will work out fine, and the adventure was going pretty well, but we didn't finish it. I think we're finishing it today but I'm not exactly sure. Just as I a not exactly sure what's going on tomorrow.
Started my forth book, but only wrote the intro so far. Balancing The World is the working title for the moment. Need to come up with some adventures for Our Heroes to face. That's the hard part. Gave Mom book one, hopefully she's enjoying.
Sean was several days late with the comic, so I don't think he's even started yet.
Weather has been just perfect, nice and warm for a change. Bit cool today, it rained a little, but now it's sunny. Berries are coming in, I'll have ripe ones soon, so it's almost pie time.
Of course looking forward to seeing The Loopy One later this afternoon, after my job of replacing the screen on the laptop I looked at last week. She's been out of it at least a week, and when I stopped to give Dad his GPS mount, Mom said the situation hadn't improved. Fun! I guess if she's half asleep I don't have to feel bad about not making conversation?
I only have three things left to say, so have a good weekend everyone.
