2020-07-23:

Fri:
Nothing exciting. Did a little more of the voice stuff, but honestly it's a dry well at this point.
Shopping, gas, saw my parents. Jenny is a little better.
Came back, put stuff away, then did game. We got through another puzzle dungeon, no problem.

Sat:
Baked a cake.
Checked sites, videos.
Picked a half container of berries, everything I could get in the shade.
Frosted the cake.
Watched some Supergirl.
Left for Sean's.
Did SoR 4, watched a zombie movie (topical!) and did a round of marvel codenames. 1 victory apiece.

Sun:
Finally baked pie.
Videos.
Picked enough berries for another pie, froze them.
Played some Bayonetta 2 because the emulator got updated so I could get into the first stage.
Got the rest of the Wii games I wanted. (All 4 of them)
Tried them all out. The motion control aspect of Star Fox Zero is a problem...

Mon:
Biggest excitement today was the meeting for the upcoming (in a month or so?) test of encrypted jobs. I had thought we would get some kind of test client, just an app that would submit the job and the cert and be done with it. Not so. Apparently there's whatever workplace cloud is, which Christina has used in the past but I haven't. She showed it to me but I've never really done anything with it. So it looks like that's going to her all her.

Otherwise a little more of the voice system out of sheer boredom and then I came home.

Checked sites, realized I had totally flaked on Friday's, as I hadn't put my two timesheets in. I must have watched videos, then started the game thinking I would just quickly go over the sites. Well, I didn't. Whoops. Hopefully I can just put in my time for last week this week? I guess we'll see. The Xerox one I got in, the CTG one is closed. "Why do you have to do it twice?" I hear you asking. Because we are dumb.

Ate dinner.
Picked almost a full container of berries, but not quite. More should be ready tomorrow though to finish it up.

Tues:
I did a few minor things today, which I'll be happy to tell you about now!
I helped John run a timing test, and then the actual timing test because that first one was not the real test.
I did the setup wizard on a machine Becky had reset to factory defaults.
I looked over the cloud print stuff, got in under the "new" "company" Christina created, and got admin access to it. Put all the altalink printers into it so we can be ready to test them. She updated the test cases a bit. I wonder if we'll actually need the eip test clients after all. Huh. Maybe I'm still not understanding how it works. This stupid cloud print thing. It's like, you can print anywhere, even away from the office! Okay, but who would ever actually do that? If you're not there at the printer, you are not getting your printouts. So why would you print something? It's weird.

And that was it.
Came back here, picked enough berries to fill the container and froze them. That's 7 bags frozen.
Checked sites.
The usual evening stuff I guess.
Watched more star trek.

Wed:
There was a proposed fix for the card reader not being recognized after awhile so the most exciting thing I did today was log in and out a whole bunch to see if it was fixed. Turned out they had an open command in a loop but the close command was outside the loop. So it might open 4 times and close once. Good job fellows. At least we caught it... eventually.

Otherwise, with the credit union open part of the day I went at 11:00 and handed them my stack 'o cash to put into my IRA. Only took 20 minutes, they didn't miss me.

The card reader showed up all day so I think if it survives the night we're good.

Came back here, picked a few berries, not even half a container today.
Checked sites.
Got ready for tomorrow as Sean wanted to do something tonight. Maybe gears with Neil?
Nope, trying the takedown with 4 people. We didn't make it.

Thurs:
Meeting day today. Missed most of the first meeting because it didn't start. I asked if it was going on because the join button wasn't lighting up, and twenty minutes later he still didn't have a solution so I plugged a phone line into ye old fax line we put in the lab (right before we left it, of course, this was in the tablet days) and called in that way. He set it up differently so it will proceed into the future.

Then had the meeting with the voice people. Yeah, they've done nothing. They were working on something else, but whatever minor changes they made may come tomorrow. But greater changes to come, they swear.

Of course the usual Thursday progress meeting. We may get some new stuff tomorrow for the encrypted cloud jobs thing but who knows when either of the two will come in.

And watering the plants.

I did write up the bug about being able to log in without using a correct PIN, in fact no pin at all simply 255 random characters. Neat. And the card reader still showed as attached so that's a good sign.

Oh, and thought about my new dwarfy guy for the Saturday game. I was thinking too big. I need to solve "real world" problems with a minor application of magic. Like overclocking a processor by making a heatsink always be ice cold, or replace batteries in things with an electricity spell. I figure he can have the Iron Man armor up and running fairly easily.

I mean I did other work. Very, hard work, working every minute. Yes, that's what I was doing.

Came back here, picked another 1/3 of the container of berries. Lots of the ground berries, ah, they're called blackberries. More than usual, I mostly picked them the raspberries are basically done. *sadface*

Checked sites, ate dinner. Watched one episode of star trek.

One call, a cleanout, but didn't reach them.

Looked at my new character, see if I could find the points to do what I want do. (I could)

So let's look to the future (he typed as always at this time). This weekend I want to do some yard work, taking those stupid vines that climb up my trees out again. Take out some weeds from the berries, a little late I know but hey, it'll be done. Tomorrow I'll be hopefully testing new stuff, of one flavor or another. Shopping, don't need gas, then see my parents.

Maybe get started on Mizzy's christmas gift this Sunday? We'll see. Weather looks okay for the moment for either day. Then it'll be back to work for the last week of July. Guess it didn't go away with the warmer weather, huh?

The second fence guy never got back to me. Don't these people need work? Weird. Maybe it's just not meant to be. Maybe I'll just move some of the larger trees back there over the weekend. Hummm...

Another week is done. Hope it went well for everyone, stay safe out there.
