Got a check for .68 from ebay, some class action suit I guess, relating to ebay motors or something. Weird. I think it cost them more then .68 to send me this piece of paper with the .68 written on it. They gave me until december 22nd to cash it too, which was generous of them. Why not just give me a refund, in paypal, of .68? Oh right because that might make sense. Silly of me.
Pretty average working around here. Got my paperwork done. Changed a battery and answered some questions Tuesday morning. Also increased her RAM, she was trying to run Vista with 1GB, to which I said, uh no.
Cleaned a laptop that had been dropped off. Made another Demongate teacher. Watched more Buffy. Made 10 CDs for a lady. The usual.
Today I dropped the CDs off, got the other half of the RAM that I needed to return and did a job. Oddly I asked in the RMA request for the bad RAM, "only one of the two modules is defective. Can I please just send one and you send me a good one in return?" but I never got an actual answer. So I figured to be safe I would send them both.
The job was just a tuneup and showing him how to use the OCR capabilities of his scanner.
Got another laptop dropped off, so I worked on that. Finished season 2 of Buffy. Worked on Dean's story, because I figured we would probably never do another Demongate High game again, and I have this cool character Sean probably wouldn't let me play, and ideas for my game we'll never do again, so I figured I would combine them and write a story. I'll probably get as far as I did the Carlita story, or the Rational Dragon Warrior, but at least I'll get it out of my system. So I've got 3.5 chapters done, for a total of 25 pages, 11,348 words. Huh. How about that? I guess I wrote about 8,000 words today, as I had chapter 1 done already.
Then at 7:15ish called my people that I guess don't exist until 7:00, because they always make me come after 7:30, that their laptop wasn't turning on so could I move their daughter's school stuff to their ancient Win2K machine? Well, their power adapter cord was all beat up, so I loaned them mine (yes, I went out there like a fool. Benefit of living alone, I guess) and it worked, though it's not powerful enough so it gives a message when it turns on about not charging the battery. I'll have to order them one.
Have work for tomorrow, a job 40 minutes away (boo) hooking some stuff up for a guy (exciting) and a tuneup I can do on the way home.
Of course I've done my daily speaking to My Buddy Bruce, can't forget that. I have to list his little G3 adapter on ebay, which I might get to tomorrow. Also have to go through that pile of stuff that guy gave me last week, see if it's worth anything. Get this laptop back. Order James' gift, now that I've worked out what to get him. Write more.
Not sure if we're on for this Saturday still. Neil is gone, so we were thinking of doing movies or board games with Stan/Other Sean.
Well, getting late, I have to be up and about tomorrow to get to some bizarre place forty minutes away, so I'll say goodnight.
