I actually built something. A real, solid, actual, honest to goodness, physical object. Out of wood and everything! Remember a few days ago I mentioned those solar powered air heaters I was interested in? Well, when dad was over to put in the gas space heater (thanks dad) for downstairs I asked him about cutting a hole in the window and shoving a pipe through the hole to spew the warm air into the kitchen. He said that was possible! He then the next day said he misunderstood and no, that really wouldn't be possible. Make up your mind, man! But maybe we can cut a section off the window, stop it up with wood, putty it up to keep crazy cold air from blowing in, and bring the sweet, hot air in that way. 

 

So anyway, Dad came friday a bit early and got the heater put in which I will enjoy fully for the first time tonight. Then we watched the Dr Who episode and a Star Trek movie. Did not see grandma, called her to tell her I could come the next day.

 

Saturday morning I spent two hours in Lowe's buying stuff for the heater, and two hours putting it together. I then left to go see grandma, Mom, and over to Sean's. I gave mom her gift, the love mushroom, to help love grow like Mario!

I'm such a geek.

 

We were planning on doing game, but Mizzy was studying, and afterword she was like, "eh" when asked "would you like to do game?" so we just kept playing Reach multiplayer. For the first time.

 

Then today of course was more work on the heater box, and I got it pretty much done. I just have to put the glass on the top, and for that I need more sealer. No problem. I've chronicled the process both for myself if I someday wish to build another and for others to learn from my mistakes should they wish to build their own.

I'll update it once the glass is on and the solar panel comes in to see how it performs. Which will be awesome I have no doubt. 

 

It is now 5:30, I am off to eat dinner, and make phone calls. Looks like I have 6 this weekend, one of which was the cancelation lady, who is hopefully over her illness sufficiently.

 

I heard many welcome "snow is melting" noises while outside today, (you know what I'm talking about) and it wasn't bitterly cold out. Could it reach fifty by weeks end? Only the future me knows for sure!!!!!
