Fri:
2.5 hours with celiveo. No result. We moved forward a little, got a new version of the software and at least got past it thinking the box wasn't there to it thinking the box was there but the wrong password was being used. Even though in the log the right password is seen being used.
Moved machine down to the other lab so they can look at it more without needing me. Will this project ever be over?
And that's all.
Worked on the adventure, good thing too I guess we're starting tonight. Actually wouldn't have needed it, we just made characters. Changed how the points are distributed and talked about how certain things would work. But that's later, we're still just after work now.
Went to pick up PC. Guess what iPad password was? It was 6 digits, and I thought to myself "this man is not all that bright. I bet he picked the easiest to use password he possibly could." So I punched in 1-2-3-4-5-6 and it unlocked. Really, dude?
Got gas, went shopping, saw my parents.
Came back, found out we were doing game. Checked sites before though.
Also started transferring PC drive to the SSD.
Started characters and such for the supers game.

Sat:
Got a bunch of snow last night! Wait, why am I excited? Finished up the PC so it's all nice and fast now.
Win10 went in just fine, don't know why he had a problem.
Snowblowed the driveway. Did great with my little unit, 10/10 would buy electric again. Well, maybe 9/10 would buy battery one next time? I don't know, the cord isn't that bad now that I know to do the right to left action rather than the left to right action I did before. It works out fine.
Answered game questions. They have a lot of questions.
Checked sites.

Went out for the 1:00 job. It's a good thing several factors came into play
1) She had an old mac that could easily be opened so I could get the HD out.
2) I just bought my new transfer docking station that came with a USB-C adapter so I could plug it into the new mac.

So that made it go faster, trying to do it over wi-fi would have been excruciating. But it still took a bit as the HD was of course slow, and her mail didn't get picked up? And she had old 32bit versions that wouldn't work anymore, that sort of thing.

Dropped off the desktop, that was fine.

Came back, played the last 3 levels of battleborn and then some Warframe.

Sun:
Cleaned up a bit.
Checked sites.
Watched a very odd movie, don't recommend it.
Played some Control, I've chased the darkness guy out of a few places, still need to chase him down again.
Did some reading.
Called people. Got back to the lady I got the battery for, going there tomorrow. Her laptop isn't connecting to the internet, so that's fun.
45 minutes with a lady that had some Mac malware... somehow? I thought she was still getting redirected but I think she really just didn't know her email password.
And called the people I ordered the laptop for to say I hadn't forgotten them and it really was on the way now, two weeks later, after I got after them the number had been generated but no package was delivered to UPS or whatever they're using. *shakes head*
Got ready for tomorrow, last week of January.

Mon:
Not much exciting to talk about today. We did have a meeting in the afternoon about lessons learned on some projects from a few months ago.
This did however lead me to note down some things to talk about with the voice project, as he said he would get around to doing a lessons learned from that at some point. Not much went right there, sadly.

Delivered the battery and got the laptop back online for the lady. Petted her two pups. The wireless thing was just as I said, she just needed to hit the button to turn it on. I hate PCs, why do they have that button? It's so dumb.

Came back here, sites, videos, one call about a printer down the street. I'll go over there but what can I do you can't, lady? Not much.

Tues:
Still not much to talk about work wise. Nothing from voice people about why that doesn't work, Celevio on why their thing doesn't work, no new software, nothing. Great.

Worked on the battlerunner, and tried to get a green lantern style character useful.

Snowed by the time I left work, but not too bad. Went to see the printer lady, I got her cover down, no problem. Then couldn't get out of her driveway. Sigh. Shoveled the front a bit and it was fine. Got back here, 3 hang up calls, nice. Checked sites and got the laptop ready as it finally came in. She doesn't want it yet she's out of town I guess, so she'll call me when she's ready to take it. I guess that's fine.

Played some Warframe with Sean and Mizzy.

Wed:
Same story today I'm afraid. No new work came in. I did finally figure out how to make my green lantern style character. Took some doing let me tell you.

No job after work so I just came home. Cleaned out the garage floor, it seems water is just going to stay there. Forever. Mix in the litter box and you get a real mess. Yuck. Don't even ask about Tinker's paws. I don't know about the others, he's the only one that's been on my lap since I got home.

Put the changes we've made for the superhero creation into the optional rules and fixed some things in Darkbolt that have been bugging me.

Checked sites, videos, talked to ellen about folders again. Did not reach the one person that called me. Oh, did reach the other. She's giving up on computers because MS asked her to do a verification of her identity. Okay, if you say so lady. Just give up, that's the spirit.

Got ready for tomorrow, did some reading, and played some more warframe.

Thurs:
Ah, the end of the week in sight. What, if anything, exciting happened today? Meetings of course. Have to have them on a Thursday. I set a machine up for a developer to get into to look into the very old LDAP lookup issue. You would think a problem like half the functionality of your device being flat out missing would have generated a bit more, shall we say, oomph in the developer community? But no, we're still poking it with a stick.

As I had not heard anything about the voice system issues I wrote bugs about it as well. John supposedly had the machine signed out all week but I saw no indication he was using it. Everything was exactly where I had left it. So I put my stuff back on and did what I needed to do, and took the logs.

No word from Celiveo, duh.

Watered the plants.

Finished the next chapter.

Work is coming. As we all know it's either feast or famine so everything possible comes in next week they're saying. So that'll be... nice.

Came back, pretty cold out but hasn't snowed. Did some reading, checked sites, the usual.

Had 4 calls today? Like I said, see above. Rains and pours, am I right? Why? Why does this happen? Morphic fields are the only answer. So I have three places to go Saturday. To look at a printer that is acting odd, a cleanout and system not booting, and a cell phone getting mail but not displaying it. Of course all are half an hour away from each other. Because of course they are.

The last lady had a printer that apparently depended on flash of all things, to display status information. What? How could HP have been stupid enough to- oh wait I answered my own question. Anyway, last update to the printer was 2014 so she's buying a new printer. Well played, HP. You couldn't have known, but well played.

So that's Saturday. What's tomorrow look like? Not sure work wise, seeing my parents, maybe getting gas before my run back and forth across the city. Shopping. Then running the superhero game! We'll see how it goes.

Sunday nothing maybe I can recover. Hey, I get paid tomorrow I'll be interested to see how much I make! Anyone else have that problem? Not knowing exactly how much you'll make in a week. I mean service industry people I guess. Uber drivers? Okay maybe a lot of people. But not anyone that works an actual office type job.

Anyway, you made it through January so chin up. I'm pulling for ya, we're all in this together.
See you next week.

If you dare return!
