Some small victories, like moving a PC up onto the table rather then the floor made it get two bars rather then one, enough to get slightly better then dial up speeds. Some small defeats, like losing, again, to Sean and Mizzy at Halo 3 and forgetting my memory card over there so no xbox for me until I retrieve it. You know the reason I can't ever win at chess? I lose sight of the goal- capture the king. I get caught up in trying to decimate the other's army when that's not the point. One on one, I'm an even match against Sean or Mizzy. But on my team is Neil. I'm not saying he's bad, the problem is half mine, after all. Sean and Mizzy are big on teamwork, and their teamwork is better then ours. I try, I really do, but I get caught up in "decimating the army" when I should be backing up my partner. Running from a battle I know I'll lose to join Neil rather then see if I'll get lucky. Of course it doesn't help he's not as good as me... There's a life lesson there someplace. Also got more of the secret project done, it looks good, though not as good as in the picture and I have no idea how they got it to look better then I can. Once it's revealed you'll see what I mean. But I have fond memories of it because I had one, and it was my first really powerful computer. I remember going to Sean's house (back in the day) and playing Future Cop over Infrared. Never finished that game, we just couldn't beat the last stage. Anyway, they don't make them like that anymore. That thing is solid. And by solid I mean heavy. But look at that thing- laptops today are just a slab. Like a TV tray. No soul at all. But that has Curves man! Curves! I think I named it Phoenix, because that was the time Apple started rising from the ashes with Steve coming back and OS X on the horizon. And speaking of phoenix, Mizzy made yummy chocolate cookies and shared them with us. Thanks Mizzy! Last week of January already. Seesh! What else? Worked on two comics, it's just blah blah, him talking, so easy, phoning it in. I've totally changed the ending from what I envisioned years ago. Mostly because a girl of 5 who dressed up as sailor moon is now nineteen years old. Who cares anymore? But I hate it when people don't finish the story, so by the Goddess I will finish this story. Maybe not exactly as I intended before, but in a hopefully satisfying way. Game was good, I got to sit out of a combat because I was downstairs and my gaming partners are kill crazy. *shakes head* Three for tomorrow, but all local, for a change. And nothing too horrible I think. Shopping, of course, bank, etc. End of January and it's raining out. Raining! Wild. Hope it goes away before the temps drop. Ice bad, kay? Plugging along, I guess. Until the 27th and the Apple Tablet comes out anyway. I mean... Sorry Steve, didn't mean to steal your thunder! Oh man, I'm gonna have to fight off ninjas later tonight. Current Realization: Vienna waits for me. Too bad, but it's the life I lead I'm so ahead of myself that I forgot what I need.
