Enemy Digglett fainted!

You would think a move like Razor Wind would be a flying type move, after all, it creates... WIND. But nooo. It's "normal"? Okay, so it has a higher chance of a critical hit. Still, it takes two rounds to "cast" so it shouldn't be typeless.

Oh, sorry, didn't see you there. Have some comics!

This comic speaks on more then one level. On the one hand, it's John being himself, saying pointless things with no one to hear him. But on another, it's like, yes, they disappeared, and we could too if we're not careful. But what is John (i.e. us) doing about it? Nothing. Sitting there in the last panel as the world goes on.

And it would probably be to the insects, as this warning came just a little too late. What other explanation can there be for the TV suddenly going silent like that? Scary!

Something I noticed in that second comic. Look at that old style TV John still owns. I mean, what is up with that thing, anyway? Is he stuck in a time warp, permanently in the 1960? I don't know, but...

Happy Valentine's day!

Did crap for actual work today. Dropped off the backup drive. "oh, I don't like that pictures screensaver." Huh? Why keep pictures around if you don't, you know, look at them?
Then shopping. I had previously stepped on my Elton John style UV blocking sunglasses and broke one of the hinges off, so I used my $20.00 staples money to get a new pair ($10) and more forms. They look better, and I think I like them better too! The colors are much better wearing them. It's not a pair of regular dark lenses, it's that Vision HD UV blocking sort of thing. Because that's what style my old huge ones were. The only other non-standard thing was going back to Lowe's. Gave them back black paint, bought outdoor tape. I was going to buy more sealant, but I thought, there may be a situation where I want to take the glass off, and having it sealed on there would be... not so good. So I just taped it up really well. The tape also came in handy for taping up the wires, so it was win-win. Here's what it looks like!

For scale, it's just a bit shorter then I am, so a little over five feet tall.

Now if that just doesn't bring a tear to your eye... go chop some onions. I mean, come on, if the prospect of free heat pouring into your room when it's sunny out (during colder months) doesn't have you excited... I want your paycheck.

Then over to Lou, who was "having trouble with his printer." When I walk in, the printer is on. I sit down. I open wordpad. I type a gibberish line. I hit print. Paper with gibberish comes out. "so what's the problem?"

The problem is, there was no problem.

Came back home. Ate lunch. While eating, this guy appeared at my door, and I was thinking, "oh, is that the mailman?" He was sticking something to the door, so I opened it and he gave it to me. He was obviously not doing his job, as it was a "sorry we missed you" from DirecTV. My guess is he was supposed to be talking up this service, but instead he was just leaving the pamphlet. It's a shame, because I do so love telling people, in that maddeningly superior tone of mine that I don't even have a TV. Oh yes, I do. And he robbed me of that opportunity. Filthy opportunity robber!

Checked websites. Pushed water around my driveway so that it hopefully will not become an ice rink when the temperature plummets tonight. Wired the fans together so it's all ready when the panel comes. They exactly fit into the holes I had cut, which totally amazed me- I actually measured something right, and it worked out! That finished off all I can do on the heater, so no more talk about that for a few days! The panel shipped today, but it's coming from CA, and I hope not fedex ground... but I think it is. *sigh* The auction said UPS ground, which isn't much better mind you, but then I got a notice from fedex. Ground? Really? That'll take forever.

Ate dinner and left for my 6:00, a lady with something weird going on, monitor wise. As predicted, it was her video card not the monitor. However, I didn't have the PCI Express card she would have needed to replace it, but I did have a new, older PCI card and as she didn't do any gaming it would work fine. Well, I should say "supplement" not "replace" as her video was onboard, so could not really be replaced without replacing the whole thing. Accuracy in writing, people.

Very few phone calls today, so I have only one for... Wednesday at this point? Sigh. It's still winter, people, no working outside yet. What will I do with myself tomorrow I wonder?
