Fri:
Finished up proofreading, had to rewrite some of chapter 34, whoops. I had accidentally included the next set of memories in the current set, so she wasn't supposed to know that stuff yet. I just hope I didn't mention it somehow in later chapters, because I'm not going back and reading from 34 on to see. I'm just lazy like that.
Some discussion with Don about some TLS issue someone is having. I need a new openSSL to do what he wants though. Mine doesn't like one of the options in the command I was sent that the guy is doing.
Started reading the last Lysanias book. I want to pick the story up with the world as it was when his book finished, so I needed to know how his book finished.
Aldi is all in on making us do our own work. Forgot to mention this last week, they've torn out most of the cashier stations and put in self service ones. Because I always wanted to be a checkout clerk, and now my dreams can finally come true. Wait, they did come true I worked for both Homeplace and CompUSA. Ah, those were the days. When I was in collage. Bad days.
Saw parents.
Came back here.
Did game. Stan left us after beating up the water spirit (again) but we still ended early as Neil has to get up very early tomorrow. So we met another guy looking into the same stuff we are in town, and we're helping him out so we headed to the well, talked to a ghost, and now need to get down the well.

Sat:
Finished reading the last Lysanias book. I didn't have much to go so...
Did some cleaning. My father is coming over after all.
Did the yard work. No grass cutting, just weeds. The berries on the side look great. Both sides, even. The ones in the back not so much. Don't get me wrong I have some bushes back there but once again not many berries. So weird.
Made dessert.
Looked up how to make the dinner.
Had lunch.
Wrote the Emberhaven chapter, and it turned into a whole chapter! Neat. Good breaking point too, coming up to the next village. So that worked out.
Made the dinner, it didn't take long and my father was right there when it was done. Good timing.
Dad came over.
Watched movie.
Did TMNT arcade game.
Then xbox.

Sun:
Did more cleaning, I wanted to clean the oven out. I did the vacuuming too. Don't ask me what I found in there, I'm not telling you.
Yes, maybe should have done this yesterday but eh.

Wrote up the Herbalist, the next supernatural power type I want to offer in the next book. Can supernaturally control plants, their growth, characteristics, and even heal using plants in a supernatural way. You can never have too many healers.
Worked on Sean's gift. I don't have to model it, but it'll take 40 hours of printing? On the lowest resolution? Yipes. I put it together in Blender so I do have to print all the parts of it. Sigh.
Played some River City Girls 2.
Got ready for tomorrow, no work though.

Mon:
Took apart my toaster oven. The top isn't getting hot anymore. It's a fairly simple system, I have no idea how the thermostat works, it's just a bunch of metal pieces but apart from that, it's a few wires. How would it even break? I checked electrical connectivity from the plug through the entire thing. Beeps all around. In fact it's so connected the bottom shouldn't work if the top doesn't. That's how it's wired? But yet, bottom gets red, top does not. I guess I'm not fixing it. Sigh. I hesitate to find one used, I guess I'm getting a new one.
Got nowhere on coming up with the third new power for the book.
Ate lunch.
Worked on plot instead. I figure plot, then character work, I don't even know if this idea is more than half baked. Things need to be twice baked, or at least one baked, not half baked. I think I have a good framework? It's hard to say how long it'll be, I've got them going a few places and getting some stuff here and there, and I can do personal stuff once I know their backstories and whatnot. So it could work.

Got ready for tomorrow.

Tues:
Came in to a good haul. It's a lot of salad though, and with my parents gone it looks like I'll be trying to eat it up before it goes bad, so it's salad for lunch and salad for dinner? I'm sure that'll be fine.
Then a meeting. Started updating some test cases, after I found the specs and VBS I was looking for.
Sorry Don, I guess your openSSL thing will have to wait.
Then Joe's meeting.
Then finishing up the test cases.
Then a short meeting with Christina to post some software while she's away, and she gave me a set of test cases to do some install and cloning tests. Very fun.
Then Don's thing for a bit.
Then another meeting, but there was really no reason I should have been there.
Then finished up Don't thing at the last minute. I actually stayed a bit late. I got the machine into the bad state, and figured out how to get out of it. Right, by altboot or reset to factory defaults, right? No, no, that's to mainstream. Too obvious. We need solutions that are the opposite. (Yes it makes no sense to me either)

Got back here, checked sites, had dinner. Salad.

Did xbox, still a lot of spartan ops to go.

Wed:
We actually got the release of software much earlier than anticipated. So I was able to complete 1/3 of the test. I could only do 1/3 because Christina had all the other machines locked up doing her tests. But we have plenty of C400s so I used one of those. No issues. With her on vacation tomorrow I hope to be able to finish the other parts. I should be able to do them at the same time so it may not take as long as this one took me? I don't know, I have a D4.0 thing to set up for a demo tomorrow, the usual meetings, so we'll see how it goes. I don't have to finish it tomorrow or anything.

Worked on the characters. I'll have to add some more stuff to the story, in thinking about their backgrounds/weaknesses I figured a guy whose job it is to investigate stuff and beat up people doing magic the "wrong way" would make some enemies. So I have him some and obviously they have to show up. My elf is going to be a beast, as a Natural Magician with spirit well and spirit grades. I'll need to really throw some tough stuff at them.

Got a minor haul on the way out, in a trash can way far away from the others. Huh? What the heck?

Put the card into the lady's laptop, no troubles there. Had to reset her router, her internet itself wasn't working. Ugh. I just realized this is my first invoice of the month. Neat.

Got back here, checked sites, the usual. Ate some of the food I got. Take that, salad!

Got the sad news Angel will be leaving us tomorrow. I'll get up early and head over there to see her one last time. Too many cats lost lately, stop it!

Put together the skills and magic spells known by Pagie. Ugh, had to give her 75XP to round out her skill list. I mean yes she's just graduated not long ago but she's still not a "starting character." It's an odd concept. I'm giving my mage killer guy probably 200. He's almost 60. He's been around. He's seen stuff. He's not a "starting character." Yes, yes, game balance, shove it. It's a book, in the first place. In the second, nothing in life is balanced or fair! Can you really only have a party of people who know the bare minimum or have the bare minimum of skills? I mean I was putting 3s into everything and I didn't have enough points to buy the planets so my magic user could use magic. What, is she supposed to have a 1 in math and research and history? That doesn't seem right. Anyway, the first character is "done."

Thurs:
Lots to do today.

Went over to my parent's house before work to say goodbye to Angel. Let's not lose any kitty friends next month, can we maybe do that?

Got the instruction on what they want for the demo tomorrow so I installed the device. As I needed to test it anyway I did. Looks fine. Demo shouldn't be too bad. That took a bit though.

Answered questions about the test cases I sent. I don't think the VBS says what they think but okay.

A meeting, but the key person was out so it got moved to next week.

Had lunch.

Then finished up the clone and install testing. Wrote up a bug because the behavior of 1.5 was different. Whoops, that's the expected behavior. Nice of someone to tell me. Anyway, apart from that had the meeting, and got the test done. Tomorrow I can do the demo, get ready for the pen test next week, and... some other stuff I'm sure.

Came back here, checked sites. Had dinner.

Worked on finishing up the second character. Gave him 150XP I hope he has enough spells.

Had one call. Only took 11 minutes. Somehow windows got an IPv6 address for her printer, despite her printing to it recently and it not even having an IPv6 address. Hate windows so much.

Got ready for tomorrow.

Looking ahead we've got the demo for tomorrow. Setting up for the other test. Shopping, seeing my parents. There may be a saturday thing? I don't know, no news about it. Ah, Sean is getting back to me about it. Ah, there is a weekend thing.

Well, my father could come over for the movie at 11:00, have lunch, and I could leave for the thing and get there by the time the others get to the thing.

Or maybe Sunday?

Anyway, may rain so it could just be a big bust. And not the good kind.

I do need to cut the weeds in the front. So maybe yard work sometime Sunday if the rain has stopped.
