I mean, what exactly are their goals? What are the Autobots opposed to? We are never really told this. Let's say Megatron is successful and wins "the war". Now what? Is Decepticon rule really so harsh? What freedoms will they repress? Can we still blow our vuvuzela? Again, we don't know exactly what the "enemy" wants or doesn't want apart from "winning the war." And what faction doesn't want that?
I ask because my War for Cybertron came today so I played through the first level. Must... get... more... ammo. I actually RAN OUT of ammo. Can anyone see the mighty Megatron running out of ammo? Why does he even have ammo? I thought they used energy weapons! I find eight zillion energy cubes, but only three ammo boxes? I AM MEGATRON. My purpose is to smash and shoot stuff so it blows up. Please, Activision, give to me the tools with which to accomplish this goooooaaaaaaaal.
Hey, that's yet another soccer reference in two days. There was some sort of soccer event recently? Yes? Who won that anyway? Nah, don't actually care.
And of course there's the comics I've been rereading, and the upcoming convention, so, yeah, transformers. Weird. Get your own cartoons, children of the 2000s!
So, yeah, work. My first, the BSOD happened to be my favorite BSOD "irql not less then" or some crap. Fun! That can be anything! Just like me. Or wait, no, I'm not 6 anymore (this from the guy talking about transformers) so my options are a bit more limited at this time. I pulled it out, hooked it up to another machine, ran CHKDSK on it, cleaned temp stuff out, still did it. Tried reloading XP but it got so far as to boot up and BSODed again. Great. So I narrowed it down to a bad DIMM, which I was able to replace, and that was that.
Came home. Worked a little on the next DgH adventure. Ate lunch. Watched the DBZ tape mom brought back for me, first level like I said, important stuff.
Then my 4:00, hey, haven't seen a crappy old Dell 2400 in like, two weeks or whatever. Score! Or no, wait. Needed RAM, as always, and cleaning out. Get a Mac already.
Ate dinner, only a couple of calls. One guy bringing his machine over, and finally Barbara's Win98 machine totally died, so I finally get to set up her new machine I bought for her like in February or thereabouts. So that's the only one for tomorrow, in the afternoon before grandma's house.
