Squeaker has suddenly become a lap cat again, must be getting colder or something. He's done this every year, summer- all splayed out upside down somewhere. Autumn comes around and now he wants to be cuddled. Silly Squeaker.
So our combination Monday/Tuesday went fine. Shopping in the morning, finally went to the library again now that I've gotten through everything else I needed to read around here. Also bought cat food, driveway patch, sealant, a birthday gift for Mom, ingredients for the next Sean's House Dessert and the regular groceries.
Went over to install the RAM and Lion and came back. On the way back I stopped at Mom's to see if she had a long, heavy stick with a flat bottom I could use to pound the patch into the driveway. I did not find one. Of course finding anything in that garage is quite a challenge. I did see the caulking gun right by the stairs, and a heavy pole without a flat bottom I ultimately "borrowed". Ate lunch, poured the patch in and pounded it down with the pole, a piece of wood, and jumping on top of it. I have to wait six months before I put sealer over top of it. Huh. Oh well. At least I won't walk over it in the dark and hurt myself.
Called the lady who finally got her laptop in, but no answer.
Did paperwork! Oh what joy it brought me. I'm almost $3,000 short of where I was last year thanks to this crappy crap year of minimal work. What's up with that, anyway? And Dad wants to know what kind of savings I have to buy a new roof with. Yeah. I guess it'll mean less taxes, so that's good?
Crap, forgot to look for stuff to kill the moss on the roof. Wait, I think something will kill that moss, what's it called? OH yeah, WINTER.
Read the comics I got out, and now can start on A Wizard of Mars.
Got three calls today, so with laptop lady, RAM install and email lady I have three. One for thursday at freaking 7:30 PM and one for Friday morning.
