Fri:
It happened again! I only updated one machine, and it was hung up. Sigh. But at least development knows about it. Someone came down to take a look. Then at lunch disappeared and didn't come back. Thanks dude.

Otherwise, not much excitement. Wrote up a new bug or two, just doing my job you know.

Snowy. Very, very snowy.

Got out, went to the store, and then had dinner with my parents.

Came back here, made calls, spent 45 minutes on the phone going over printing someone's bookmark list and contact list. Why? Even he admitted to really not knowing. *rolls eyes*

Cleaned up the kitchen, took the stuff off the fridge.

Sat:
Got the call exactly at 7:30, but it was a machine so that's not as impressive as you might have thought. The robotic lady voice said between 9:30 and 11:30 but they were here at 9:00. Barely got it inside, but all is well that ends with someone else taking the blame.

Wait I said that wrong.

Went out to the first job after that, basically answering some questions for the guy. Put in the right password moron! I mean, uh, you guy!

Came back, ate lunch, and went out again. This was a dead HD (really dead, the built in diagnostics said so at 10%) so I came back here and ordered a new drive for him.

Put the doors back on and cleaned up again, put the magnets back on the edge of the fridge. Then out at 3:40 for another one. Took out a chrome extension and made sure his machine was fine otherwise. It was.

Came back here, worked on chapter 251.

Finished it!

Then finished chapter 252 and I hope to finish 253 before the night is out.

Did one job at 2:00, nasty out. Raining and then snowing. Great combination. She had changed the batteries in the keyboard again so it was working. But she had somehow reloaded her machine? So she had nothing that I had done just recently in the past. This was the lady who I went to go see and her brother had died? You may recall from some time back? I had gotten her machine all reloaded and somehow she undid it all. So I got to do it all again. Thanks!

Anyway, writing the rest of the time. Sean wants to game on Friday, something we haven't done in ages. Wanted at least a day before facing anyone with my new invisaligns but I guess that's not happening. Grr.

Finished 253. The last Susan world is upon us, and finally Luna can tell her story.

Mon:
Back to being somewhat useless at work because I've tested everything. I had turned off the updates of the machines and found one of them still hung up. So I guess it's not the update process killing them. Huh.

Did a test of an old version to see if the behavior had changed. Loaded machines to the latest. Poked around, talked to people. Got cheese. No really.

Stayed an hour later to make up the time I'll lose Friday.

Picked up the PC from the last dial up user on Earth. You have two kids- don't they, like, need to do homework? And look things up? Online? How… I don't want to know.

Came back here, snowblowed the driveway. Started his PC cleanup, ate dinner, checked my sites.

Not much wrong with the PC, but I did optimize it as I could and made sure everything was fine. Made some calls, I have the drop off tomorrow, then another job. A setup Thursday that's not too far from work.

Pretty cold today.

Tues:
Twas a veritable feast today, on this Forever Alone Day.

Not much to report at work, meeting in the morning to go over some things, and then I did a bunch of “setting the clock to just before midnight letting it reboot to change the time then go into power saver then reach midnight where it woke itself up and then let it go back to sleep in order to see if it will come back up” tests. Given all that it wasn’t quick. It came back every time though, so something else is causing it to screw up overnight.

Our feast happened when we went out for lunch. It was supposed to be the four of us, but no Chris he was out sick. We got garbage plates and then I didn’t need to eat the rest of the day. I did, because everyone brings in chocolate stuff so I had some cake and such.

Then resumed the day. Didn’t rack up extra time for Friday because of the lengthy lunch (which wasn’t even an hour to be fair). So I get to stay an hour tomorrow and Thursday.

Dropped off the PC and hooked it back up, then went to see the guy who had moved into a retirement place. It was just down the street and I’ve been there before. He just needed his desktop set back up after the move, and he (or someone) had done most of it. So that was a quick one too.

Got back, did some more writing and made phone calls. Booked tomorrow, a cleanout, so that’s the week. Susan will have destroyed the entire force of attackers by herself just about.

Wed:
You know the drill. I did, however, write up 5 bugs today. So there's that.

Chris was still out. Feel better soon! We need you back.

Went to a cleanout, but she wasn't really having any of the problems she said she was having. Gee, how many times has that happened? Ah well, it was near the house so I came back here.

Fast forwarded through dozens of Bleach episodes to get to the part I remembered, to make sure I remembered it correctly. I did. I know exactly how Susan is going to end The Darkness here.

Put together the PC because I got the HD for it, taking it back Saturday. Very slowly copying stuff off his old drive. It's going, so that's good, but it's going to take a long time.

Not much else I guess.

Thurs:
Busy morning, with a ton of emails to get through since yesterday for some reason. Got through all that.
Wrote up another bug, looked over the new machines we got in to make sure they survived the trip (from India). They had, though one is in a weird mode.

Chris is alive, so that's a plus.

Not much excitement in the afternoon actually. Loaded up one of the new machines and made sure it did the thing it wasn't doing before. It did the thing! So I can test on it further, for what that's worth.

Went to do the setup. That was fine, her old machine "had a virus" (it didn't) so she bought a new one? Whatever, she gave it to me so I'll put an SSD into it and sell it. I'll probably give her most of the money.

One call, so I have one for ugh Sunday. Oh well.

Finished Chapter 254. Just have to beat up The Darkness here, that should only take the next chapter, and then two more arcs before we're done.

So the altered Friday plan is work a half day and go over to the dentist. Get my new teeth adjusters put in.
Then bank, shopping, see my parents. Then go to Sean's for Pyre goodness.

Saturday I have a job in the morning, but he's going to call me when he's back from work so it'll be at least 11:00 before that happens. Then I'll probably get back to anyone who called me Friday and hope it isn't too many that I can't do them all that day.

Maybe start writing Luna's tale on Sunday? Looking forward to it.

So a mixed weekend for sure. I'll let you know how I'm adjusting to my tooth trays next week, so I'll see you all then.
