So the Mac guy this morning wanted a scanner hooked up. Too bad it was so old. And the drivers for it, and a bunch of other scanners similar to it, were all corrupted somehow. They were dmgs, so it wasn't like I couldn't open them, but every single one had some problem with the actual scanning app. I said I could probably put it on his older laptop, but had to download three different copies of the scanner software before I finally got one that worked well enough to actually open. Real great guys. He also bought my router, so I set that up.
Then went over to rip off the fencing from the porch area. Whoops, I just remembered I left it sitting on the lawn, I'll have to go collect it. Anyway, someone wanted it on there FOREVER given the number of staples it had holding it down. Ripped the dead ivy out between the wooden part and the black thingy behind it, which was also annoying. Scraped the one side, it was pretty bad, while the other side hardly had any pealing- I mean peeling. Huh. Then hosed the whole thing down so I can paint it later. Looks like the door needs a second coat too, but I won't have time tomorrow.
Then back here for a bit, lunch, that sort of thing. Balanced my checkbook, looked over Nyasa and my notes for Saturday so I have some idea what's going on.
The last one she "lost" the folder because oh look she had renamed it and must have forgotten, because there's all the stuff you wanted in that folder named something completely different. Also sold her a copy of Office 2003 I've had kicking around awhile, so again, an unexpected bonus.
Pretty busy tomorrow, already scheduled is a possible dead HD at 2:00. Also I want to get Office installed in the system I sold the nursing home, as I got that today. And I realized I need to give Louie his laptop! Of course Grandma after all that. Should be fun. Two calls, so I can probably see Karl in the morning and just do the third one Saturday morning. Game is set for 2:00, however the way we play with Stan/Sean around, I hope even that will be enough time.
All the challenges tonight are Firefight, so we'll probably tackle them?
