 So we start the morning bringing that yucky PC back. And I learn yet another "interesting" thing about Vista! Apparently, you can't paste a picture into Windows Mail. You can "insert" a picture, which I would believe to be the same thing, but no, I guess not. Great. So I had to come up with this work around where I replaced the print screen functionality (which still is crap, by the way) with another program that is better. He then has to select the region he wants to paste in, save it, and then insert it into mail. That's Microsoft for you, leading the way in ease of use since... never. Then over to the BSOD place. Sadly it doesn't happen very often, so even though I did a whole ton of stuff I can't say it'll fix the problem or not. They'll just have to use it to be sure. Sigh. Half an hour early for my 1:00 which was quite easy, nothing too serious. Just down the street was the medical place so I stopped in, having finally found a very good replacement for the VPN solution I had previously suggested. But lo! She said the guy was in talks with... brighttree? Brightree? Some spelling like that, which promised not only to import her ACT data into some kind of web form but allow simultaneous edits for a number of locations. Which is fine, takes me off the hook. I'll have to buy back the useless VPN router they'll end up not using, but it's basically new, hopefully I can get at least most of the full price of it on ebay. (I'm dreaming). Anyone interested in a slightly used but basically new VPN router from netgear? Wireless! Came back home, did some things around here before I left to take that system back at 5:00. Hooked it up over there, and looked at another machine they had. Got back around 6:30, so I was able to ate dinner at a somewhat normal time. Not many calls to make today, oddly. Booked one for saturday and one for next tuesday. Tomorrow won't see much running around, curiously they all seem to be very close to each other. Got a comic done. Sean called about playing some ODST, so I'm going to go get ready for tomorrow and do just that. Current Mood: Balanced
