Mom was calling him iKitten, but he won't be a kitten forever. If he even is, he may just look smaller because he's so thin right now.

 

I'm talking about the cat of course from the last entry. Why Tinker?

 

Well, he's very laid back. Like he doesn't even try to get down the steps at all from where he's quarantined upstairs. Unlike a certain grey striped cat we could name that sits and whines whenever I go up there now, and paws at the door. And is always crying at me for some reason. Anyway, I was trying to find a name to express that when I remembered the "Traveling People" from the Wheel of Time books. They're called Tinkers. They follow "The Way of the Leaf" which is to accept whatever comes and do no violence. So it was that or Leaf, and I did find him in Autumn, but he doesn't really seem like a Leaf so Tinker it is.

 

I hope he comes through all his tests clean tomorrow. We'll see.

 

Pretty slow this week, work wise. Got my paperwork done, and a very large burden has been set aside, thank you very much. Now to start saving, saving, saving. Put in a request for a roof estimate a few days ago but didn't hear back. I'll call him tomorrow some time. Once that's done I'll know what I have left and that will be that!

 

Monday saw the shopping of course. It was Tom week this week, I worked for three Toms. The first Tom just needed some things looked at on three machines, only took an hour. Then over to the guy with MS. He was trying to use my iPad with a long stick he held in his mouth. The trouble of course being that when he was close enough to hit the center area, the side areas where too far away. But move it so the sides could be hit, and he couldn't move his head back far enough that we wasn't just scraping along the surface. Also he couldn't type because he couldn't "tap" the key, he could only "swipe" the key, which didn't work at all. We take mobility for granted, let me tell you. Not being able to more more then your head side to side a little must be the worst. POSSIBLE. THING. 

 

Tuesday another guy with three machines to check out, and some network issues for the spice guy. Stupid windows.

 

Wednesday a cleanout, and getting Tinker. Have to get her carrier back to her.

 

Then today was setting up a router for the guy just down the street, and then transferring files between three machines in a sort of hand me down situation. That took way longer then I expected.

 

No jobs for tomorrow? I called four people, but only one answered, and they wanted 12:00 saturday of all things. Sheesh. After I get back from el vet I'll try them again.

 

Otherwise, no game Friday on account of Neil, so we've moved the Demongate adventure to Saturday. Maybe I'll have Dad over to watch some Dr Who.

 

Worked on the Character database a little, and went over the changes to the rulebook as they came in. Spotted a few things.

Been playing some Borderlands 2 as well.

 

Won't be seeing Mom tomorrow, she's working a craft show. Wasn't going that way anyway except as a special trip, maybe I'll just wait and head over there Saturday after my 12:00.

 

Sunday is the start of the ABC sale. Looking forward to that.
