2015-07-02:

Fri:

The good news was, the bottom of the laptop was changed a bit easier than I had expected. The bad news was, his phone was still buzzing. I forgot about him needing to plug the alarm system in, whoops, but we narrowed it down to that after taking the rest of the phone wiring out of the picture. So he's going to call them about it.

Back here I checked my websites, ate lunch, and finished sunrise before leaving at 12:45 for my 1:00.

It too was shorter than I thought, though I figured it was something like that even before arriving. She said she couldn't print to any of her network printers, meaning the router! Somehow it had changed the address it was giving out from .1.1 to .0.1. I changed it back. Silly router.

Back here, finished another set, only two more to go!

Out again at 2:30.

That one was pretty quick as well, as she really didn't have a problem so much as a hijacked homepage. Why are you using IE anyway? I take the icon away from the screen, how did you find it again? Anyway, cleared that up. I must have worked for some neighbor of hers, as there was an airnet network in the area. Got her printer on the wireless, not sure why I hadn't before, and looked into why it wasn't printing. She was still using the starter color cartridges, don't they expire?

It couldn't tell the ink level of anything, so I said change them and see what happens.

Then a last quick one, the guy had turned his desktop icons off, like that's a thing people want to do. Nice feature, MS.

Back here I finished up the art, at least my first stab at it, and though about the challenge mode I might want to add to the game. I think I would only need two cards, one to hold the list of completed challenges, and one for the challenge itself. I can set it up to just be passed the cards of the challenge (and to make it more interesting, how many cards you actually get to move) and track it from there. It could work.

Ate dinner, played a bit of borderlands (for mac) and went to feed the kitties.

Once back I messed around with the save editor for a bit and went to bed.

Sat:
Woke up to a rather gray day, with tons more clouds and rain on the radar. But moving towards or away?

Got to work on the tutorial.

Finished it?

Then went to Sean's house, Stan and Sean didn't come after all, but we played games and watched stuff and got a whole bunch of stuff to watch.

58 on the way home, looks like a cool summer this year? Saw the kitties and birdies and got home.

Sun:
Rainy and yucky so I didn't do any lawn stuff. Just watched movies Sean had given me all day.

Yeah, I know.

My parents got back okay so that's back to normal. Even got a few calls, not that I reached anyone. Just the power supply guy and the lady wants to "go over" the printer. Huh? What does that even mean?

Mon:
Normal shopping, only one month of the other Aldi left.

Ate lunch, then left for the 2:00.

In plant news, I'm getting berries so that's good. What's puzzling is the entire group nearest the driveway has absolutely no berries. Not a one. It's like all the blossoms just shriveled and died, and all the other plants have at least some ripe, but not these. It's weird.

In happier news my Christmas Cactus seems to be rooting just fine. In fact a little too well, every joint in the plants that were left seems to have sprouted roots, which I can understand because the plant doesn't exactly have eyes to tell it where the dirt is. I now have four separate pots with various bits of the original plant, so I think it might not only survive, but become several separate plants. Go nature!

Both jobs were pretty quick, I went over the various ways to use the printer with the first lady, and dropped off the power supply for the first guy. Also made sure it was connecting to the wireless and that he was getting email.

Got gas, then stopped at the lawyers office to show her how to turn change tracking on in LibraOffice.

Tues:
Finished up the first anime and started a second. Rained on and off.

First job at 2:00 was quite easy. Connected her back to her wireless and took off the expired Norton. Honestly, I know these companies pay to be included but there's really no need for 30 day "trails" that expire, leaving people vulnerable while a FREE antivirus is included with windows.

Anyway, her main problem is she made her homepage some weird yahoo thing that didn't work anymore, so I changed it back to just the yahoo page, which will always work, and came back here.

Actually the next two were also very short, getting her netflix account back because she didn't know the password, and then finally at 5:20 or so (it was just down the street from the 5:00) they just had a few questions basically. And somehow I think she had two gmail accounts and somehow switched her chromebook over to the other one? And her password didn't work? Honestly, write down your passwords, people!

Not many calls, only one job for tomorrow, so I watched more Dragon Drive.

Wed:
Just the one job in the morning, getting pictures off an iPad so they could be put on craigslist.

Finished dragon drive, which I'm pretty sure I've seen before. But where, that's the key? I didn't have it, and I wouldn't have thrown it away, so where did I see it?

Then started work on the challenge mode. I'll need more graphics, but the buttons are in place and I think I have the board set up. Basically I just give it a single line with the point goal, and the cards to present, and it does it. When you reach the point goal it goes back. Should work!

Heavy rains, finally went around to make sure my downspouts were attached. Most weren't. Ah well. They are now.

Ate dinner. Tons of sales calls, what the heck? Just today I must have gotten 4, from "Albany" and "New York, NY" and "Miami FL." I see them all the time. GIVE UP.

More anime.

Thurs:
Very stupid in the morning. Somehow I had grabbed the invoice for tomorrow so I drove 25 minutes (getting up early and everything) to a place where no one was, and it wasn't even their fault. So then I got to drive 25 minutes back, call my real 9:30, and finally get there nearly an hour late.

This job was a setup, primarily, which I did. I also moved his router upstairs so he would get a better wireless signal, and gave him an audio cable to hook his laptop up to the TV.

Came back here, ate lunch, and watched more anime.

My parents came to get my TV adapter and looked at my berries, but didn't have any ideas why it happened. Speaking of berries I am loaded with them again this year, despite 1/4 of my bushes not producing. Also mosquitos. Picked berries, Got a whole load of them.

[[image file="2015-07/berries2015.jpg" alt="load of berries" ]]

Found something else (besides mosquitos) that I have a ton of this year. Catnip! I typically have some, but this year I seem to have a whole bunch. Cats will be pleased. At least Tinker, he's playing with some right now.

Watched more Anime.

Actually reached the people from before, so I have two jobs tomorrow and one for noon on Saturday.

Not sure if going to Sean's, he didn't say anything after asking on Tuesday if I would be free Saturday. So I might go over to Heather's.

Other than that, Sunday I hope to do some writing to catch up from all this anime I'm watching, not much else exciting I guess.

Have a good 4th everyone.
