 Too bad he has no one there for him. He should get, I don't know, a cat or something.  I know I shouldn't mock the afflicted, but John, you make it so easy!

So what didn't go as planned today? Exactly. But at least I wasn't wasting time running about from place to place to get various documents I thought I had and all that. 

The setting up of the new computer took four hours instead of two for whatever bizarre reason. I guess times flies when you aren't having fun, as well.

Grandma's TV turned on just fine with the button, thank you very much, but in her defense the remote didn't work. I tried the actual TV remote, and that worked, so it wasn't the receiver or anything. Of course we didn't know where the book was, so I got on with her creaky old Mac and looked it up. Finally figured out how to reprogram it, and saved the day. She claimed both the TV in the bird room and the one upstairs didn't work, but look at that, you hit the power button, and they turn on! Amazing!

Finally got home to eat lunch at 2:00. Then was able to do the shopping. Tamara takes her medicine best in a fish tasting liquid of some kind, so I made more fish patties to get the juice out of them. Then I ate one of said fish patties. Read a bit from the library books that got taken home, and made phone calls. All of the not many of them I had. But at least the morning is scheduled.
