There was something odd I just wanted to mention from today.

 

My ink light, for the epson I bought at a garage sale, finally started blinking, so I knew I would soon need more ink. Being the spendthrift that I am (read "cheap bas-" I mean "fiscally conscientious") I went online to see what sort of prices ebay had for me in the land of ink. I saw an auction of 60 cartridges, enough to change them all 10 times (the machine uses 6 colors) and they were priced at just over a dollar apiece. $1.16 or so to be exact. Try to follow this logic now: Not only have I bought something, used it up, and then taken the empty shells to staples, I've gotten $2.00 apiece for them, that is .84¢ each for the privilege. Maybe it's just me, but that seems odd.  How exactly does Epson get away with charging $64 for just the color ones and another $17 for the black? $87.48 after taxes, to change the cartridges one time, when I paid $70 and can change them 6 times? 

 

You can't see it, but I'm shaking my head.

 

Saw what must have been a dozen hawks flying about near my house, must have been a convention.

 

Otherwise pretty normal. Shopping, did one job, the motherboard replacement, which went well. She also got a free cleanout, because her machine was packed full of crap. Packed I say!

 

Started my Mother's Day gift, finished Xanth 33, started reading the Blender manual. Rainy today, but not too cold.

 

Tomorrow I get to see My Buddy at 1:00, give him his money for returning the printer and put his usb card in, which should enable him to use the old one again. So fun. And Boris at 11:00.
