Fri:
Got my new trays first thing. They're made of a tougher, stiffer plastic so it seems. Each one has to last me 15 years, so I should hope so.

Spent most of the day waiting for the final AT&T software, but we only got it late in the afternoon. Was poking around sharepoint figuring that was more effective that test cases, and I was pretty much right. Found a bunch of things that weren't written up yet, so I did.

After lunch I started print from sharepoint and polished that off. Then installed the new software on a bunch of machine. Ready for Monday!

Went to the bank, did the shopping, and saw my parents.

Then back here made some calls. Reached Ellen, and my VNC isn't working anymore. That's odd. I also seem to have two IP addresses, the one my router thinks I have, and the one whatismyip.com seems to think I have. Very strange. I emailed them, we'll see what they say.

I canceled my RR connection, so now it's hard to troubleshoot it because I have no outside network. Sigh. Should have waited until Saturday but who would have guessed this was going to happen? Will I have to find another remote service?

Watched some more anime, petted my hurt kitty, and now it's bedtime.

Oh yeah, got the PC in, it's the wrong one. Emailed them too, see what they want to do about it. It has a keyboard and mouse, and it's a little bigger than the unit I wanted. I think it's older too. Sigh.

Sat:
Somewhat messed up day.

Got up and investigated the VNC situation some more. Actually got a response from greenlight, it was a form letter that didn't really mention my situation at all, but basically implied I could buy "better" ip address for $10 a month. I'll try team viewer for now I guess, as it's free for "personal" use. I don't make money helping over the phone, so that's personal, right?

An early lunch and out to my first job. Got on 490 and realized I had forgotten the box. With the speakers. For speaker lady. Sigh. Did not turn around, went to see guy. His machine was somewhat taken over, shocker of shocks, and so some time was spent cleaning it up. Put in a regular audio CD and it just spit it out again. I'll order him a new drive.

And have to go back. Yay.

Came home and got the box, glanced at the phone. Something was nagging, like, "how does the universe work? This lady is calling to cancel, right? Yes, that's how it works."

It's how it works. She did call to cancel, so I didn't have to go back. Glad I looked.

So I stayed and finished up the anime I was watching. It's not over, there's a series 3 (at least it said there was, I didn't look)

Grass is growing in the bare spot again, tiny tufts of green. Do your best little seeds!

Tinker is still fine. Let him out while I'm here, as long as everyone plays nice he can stay down.

Watched Iron Man, now that I have the whole "movie universe" I wanted to watch them in order.

Sun:
Started with just checking my sites, was waiting until 9:00 to call a lady. Team viewer worked like a champ, as long as I can use the free version it'll be fine. I'm not paying $50 a month (in essence doubling my internet cost) to help someone, for free, because we ran out of IPv4 addresses and haven't moved to IPv6 fast enough.

Anyway, found her emails she was looking for.

Oh, oh, got a weird thing in the mail yesterday. From my health care provider about the "rising prices for XXXX" and the "rising usage of XXX" (not by me) and on and on and how my bill (and they are quick to point out this is all very legal and they can do this and it's fine and it's only once a year and on and on pages of it) will drop 5.71%.

Wait, what? You're charging me less, but making it sound like you're charging me more? Huh?

Anyway, back to watching stuff.

Found the pond where I picked up the goose feathers last year. Going to make note of it, as it isn't that far away. Maybe check back there a time or two.

That was on the way to the freezing computer lady's house. I checked the drives, which were raid 0 for some bizarre reason. Hardware test passed. Cleaned it up, we'll see if that makes a difference or not.

Only one call, guy trying to get his keyboard to work, but he said he managed it. Then called Ellen. She was eating dinner and "had to water her lawn" so I told her if that was her priority fine, she had until 9:00 to get back to me. Moron.

Lost power for a minute, what was that about? It's not raining or windy. Strange.

Mon:
Knew it was going to be a tough week, and the universe delivered on those expectations.

Spent a part of the morning trying to figure out why the feature to restore admin wasn't working. Messed the machine up, still not sure how we got out of it. Anyway, later learned it was because it jams and it won't let you do the thing until there are no jobs in the queue. Not that it told us that.

Otherwise tested the 2 models we need the full test on, so that much is done. It's just the spot check on the other 11 models I need to do. I did one. Tried to upgrade our CWW and got stuck, and the person who was helping must have left, so hopefully we can finish that tomorrow.

Came back at 5:00 to get an extra hour in for Wednesday, had 7 calls. Yay!

3 were just Les, one was a hang up. Dentist guy wants an "auto save" for his emails, uh, no? York called, their machines are all down, and Anthony wants his machine sped up. That's the guy a half hour away.

Got ready for tomorrow, ate dinner, pilled a cat. He's got this dangly bit now, dead skin I guess, I hope that's normal and he didn't rip it out rolling around with Squeaker. I've been leaving them down because they seem fine, maybe that was a mistake? He doesn't seem bothered by it.

Checked my sites and left for the movie.

It was a fun time, but you have to question how the doctor just lets so many opportunities to actually solve his problem go by. I mean, sure, he can't actually kill off the daleks before they're even made because that invalidates thousands of years of galactic history. But still, a little painful to watch him stumble around.

Tues:
Using the patented "two at a time" and even going for a triple at the end I finished the quick testing I needed to do for AT&T. It's over. Please don't make me do it again. Please?

Tomorrow is back to tablet work and looking over my bugs.

Did two appointments, setting up speaker lady's speakers which went fine, and heading down the street to see about York. Someone screwed up the settings on their one unit.

Oh, and I may have stopped in at Toys R Us to see how the 70% off was going. Well, the "up to" anyway. I… may have, in a moment of weakness, bought some pony stuff? I might not have, too, so it's hard to tell.

But if I had, I got some stuff for less than the original price of the most expensive item. That I didn't buy.

Back here I did the usual stuff, finished Iron Man 3, made my calls which curiously was a cancelation for thursday so I have nothing for that day at the moment and 40 minutes of getting on someone's machine to reload firefox. 30 minutes of that was trying to get her on A SINGLE WEBSITE the other 10 the actual me doing stuff. *shakes head*

That's it. Tomorrow is the big day. Dentist and Tinker in. Busy.

Wed:
It was pretty busy today.

Got in and we had gotten the software so I went straight to work. Verified my bugs and only wrote two new ones. The dentist wasn't too bad, he only used some novacane so I wasn't numb all afternoon. It was basically a crack developing on a filling, so we were just patching it up.

Then back to work, left right at the normal time so I'm only down 20 minutes. Not bad.

Took Tinker in, she said it looked fine and I can have the staples taken out next week.

Came back, ate dinner, watched some stuff, not many calls so nothing for tomorrow yet.

Thurs:
We might just be back to normal schedules and such as of today. It's been a while.

Apparently they wanted me to test one more machine for AT&T (a slower speed of one I had already tested) so I did that after the morning meeting. Then I did the android package testing, and wrote all of today's 5 bugs. I haven't done that one in a long time, who is passing all this stuff that's obviously wrong?

Then I upgraded my device to the latest software, which took some time, and then I could have gotten started on the 10x which I'm sure will be a thrill a minute. I could also have worked on chapter 14 but of course you know which one I picked.

Stayed a little late to balance the scales, and came home. Watched more anime (still haven't finished it all, not taking DBZ into account) and called a lady. The one near the goose pond, her machine is still hanging. Sigh. I'll pick it up tomorrow, it's not far from my parent's house, which I'll drop some stuff off at after work. No bank. Maybe I'll go parents->her->shopping. Yes, that could work out fine, just fine.

Otherwise should be a normal day tomorrow, I'll try to steel myself for doing another 10x. Pointless.

Saturday I'll probably have something and then I'm having my father over for father's day.

Not much planned for Sunday, let's keep it that way.

We're almost halfway though the year, keep your chin up everyone. I'll love you tomorrow, you're only a day away!
