Fri:

Super boring today, as I mostly just ran all the jobs with all the credit cards we have to make sure the icons show up in the right place. Spoiler, they don't. Many are shoved over too far and they appear behind the numbers for the total. Doesn't look very good. At least it's in the same place. In any case, finished that up about 3:00 and brought the cards back. Then just waited around until 4:00.

After that pretty standard, went to the bank, got food, got gas (only used a half tank this week) saw my parents (no deer) and came back here. Gas was 3.13 which seems like a familiar number, odd, can't place it.

Got the schedule for the next week. Saturday at 1:00 going back there to set up a PC for one of their friends, then Sunday noon it's tax time then no Friday but then Saturday. Whew, did you get all that? Make a list.

No calls, so I put everything away and left.

We stayed on track well, but of course it was just planning the combat and then doing the "combat." Which was Mizzy dropping out of the sky as a wolf and smushing our resident vamp to a paste. Go us? I was looking forward to using my Topic: Sex skill finally too, but no, someone had to try and enter the house, ending their possession which sparked the whole thing. Ah well, it happened, and Minette retires. Bye Minette, I didn't know you long, but you'll have a special place in my heart.

Back here I had two calls, both the lady for tomorrow saying she was having eye trouble and she was canceling. Not "call me about doing something later in the day" or "Can you come Sunday?" or "Let's shoot for during the week sometime." Nope. Just "i'm canceling." Okay, whatever.

Sat:

So I got up and checked my sites, put the notes in from what I wanted changed in the optional rules. Looked at what I wanted to play next in Monterous.

Apple has been desperate to reach me all day apparently. They've called- oh, sorry, I meant "apple" there you go. Anyway, they've called 5 times before noon. Sheesh. Go away scammers, apparently no one actually listens to the message? You're calling a place called "computer knowledge services." How long do you think it's going to take you for me to laugh in your face?

Watched the next episode of supernatural. Got ready to go, and then left to go set up the PC.

That went fairly well. Of course she didn't know her google password, and her recovery account is her granddaughter's who she hasn't spoken to in three years. Wonderful. So who knows if she'll get that back.

Came back here for a just a bit, then was off again to Sean's.

Only got through a couple of rooms, but that's to be expected. They got more info on the tower and beat up stuff.

Sun:

Pretty simple, I made pie.

Then went to have mom do my taxes.

When I got home it was time for dinner, so I ate, did my Sunday stuff, made 2 calls that were just questions, watched one episode, did some reading and went to bed.

Mon:

Got in to work and found that both Gina and Kathy were calling in sick. What the heck, did the time change get them both? 

Worked on figuring out why my PC was dragging so much. It was taking minutes to open excel. Minutes! Tracked it down to the CBS log folder, there were log files in there in access of 2GB. Thanks, MS. My temp folder had a few GB in it as well. Whacked them all, of course that doesn't fix the root cause but at least I've cleaned up some space.

Had the meeting, no Gina so it was just Bob (Hi, Bob!) wanting a few clarifications. No problem. Had brownies on the way there and back as some were sitting out. 

Made some updates to the test cases and got to work on Localization.

Finished it by 2:00, having written a few bug, just 4 of today's 8. (My fellow testers wrote 0 of the other 4, surprise, surprise. They were all development bugs.)

Moved on to security, not that it's changed one iota since the beginning, but honestly I basically tested everything last week, there's not much left but the crappy stuff like alerts. Yuck.

Finished it, just have to put the numbers into the other spreadsheet.

Came back here, did a bunch of things.

Finished the latest book, only 2 more to go.

Watched an episode of Supernatural.

Put the latest wheel of time notes into the optional rules.

Figured out the skills I might want for my new monster mash character

Figured out the stats for the guy.

Checked sites, ate dinner.

No calls, that's how I was able to do all that. Now it's time for bed.

Tues:

This next text took all day, and I still have a few at the bottom to do. It's not been run very much I guess, or at least the person that did it last didn't know what they were doing. Every other one either had a bug written I needed to go track down and get the explanation for, or write a new one. 18 passed and 17 failed, I've never seen a test case that bad. Needless to say, I wrote all but one of the bugs for today.

Not much else interesting, oh there was one thing. They moved all the supplies from above Chris over to the other room. Well, one guy did. For reasons? I don't know, they were on a high shelf it's not like they were in the way. He just left them over there piled on a cart. Thanks, dude. I put them away on the shelves with the other supplies. You're welcome.

Went to get a new badge holder, the fishing line on mine broke.

Then I got gas, going to Sean's twice in one week will do that.

Then went to the post office, posting the tax forms. Thanks again, mom.

Came back here, did the usual sites and videos, did some reading.

Put the notes in, very few of them so maybe we're coming to the end of the changes for now?

One call, just the lady with the google account, they're actually letting her back into the account. Neat. But of course my father didn't actually perform any of the steps so it wasn't all that useful until I called him and said "do the steps."

Did more reading.

Wed:

Great deal of excitement today as the new version of the software came out. Very short demo because it's just bug fixes, who cares, so after that I finished up the tablet alert test cases. Never had such an awful result. Nearly half the cases failed. Half. Nice.

Then I went through my 40 or so fixed bugs. Most even were, though a lot of them were some kind of translation issue so really, development didn't have to do anything but get the right string in there. Lame.

Finished most, it was the end of the day. (as I knew it) Wait, there was one bit of excitement. I moved myself out of the aisle. With the machine around me vanishing I pushed mine a bit so it's facing the "other way" to the row it's now in, and I'm sitting where another machine would go. No big deal, but at least I'm not poking out any more?

Came back here, watched two episodes. Only one correction to put in the optional rules. Had pie. 

Spent 40 minutes with Dad's friend mostly because her frontier "high speed" internet connection is 700kb/s down and a whopping 32 kb/s up. Yeah! Not even a megabit. So I couldn't both control her machine AND run one single website at one time. I had to close my own connection and then simply guide her through putting in the wrong (thanks dad) password, then changing it to the right password. Finally did it!

Kate wished me a "happy birt" which was nice of her. Wonder if my phone cut that text off? How did she even know? Facebook? I was pleasantly surprised to get that text.

Thurs:

Let the poking begin. I started the day looking at one of my bugs, found a new timeout message that has somehow reverted back to English, I'm pretty sure it was Spanish before. 

Then had the morning meeting. Gina was feeling a little better, she's been fairly sick and she got a flu shot! Serves her right? Wait… Feel better soon!

Then a little while after that we got more pizza, that was our launch lunch for the kiosk, which they've admitted we haven't sold any of yet. Anyone need a kiosk?

I was the only QA person there for the picture, which I suppose on a certain level is what one might call justice? Not me, of course. 

Just poking at it as most of the testing is done now, and texting Sean. He went to get my/his new phone and found out a few things. He's been paying for my line as though it was a smart phone. Uh, guess he doesn't look at the bill? They don't really make my sliding out keyboard phones anymore, so I told him I would pay him for a iPhone so the bill didn't change. Super expensive!

Need a new number, huh I'll have to get jo-anns on the new number. Not that I ever go down there, it's too far away. 

"Warm" out, but going to get colder. Was raining really hard a few minutes but then stopped. 

Back here at home I checked my sites as usual and did a bunch of reading. One call, a lady I think just dropped her keyboard receiver behind the desk so I told her to check that. 

Got ready for tomorrow, but let's look further into the future, shall we?

Tomorrow- no clue. Poking at stuff again I guess. Nothing really serious to accomplish. I don't know. Doing the shopping, I'll go to the bank but with only 2 checks. I want to deposit that money from the sale of the PC. Stop off at my parent's house to drop things off and head over to Sean's. 

Maybe work on the new Monster character and then run the tower game, though they won't get caught up or at least I doubt they will.

Then Saturday the only thing I know of is the party that night.

Then a quiet Sunday of reading and playing more Chrono. Weekend done.

I'll probably play some more chrono tonight, see if I can get past those dwarves. 

That should about do it. March is nearly half over, hope it's been a good one for you. Maybe soon it will be spring, one can hope can't one? Of course one can.
