Are you ready? Are you? Are you? I saw the cutest scottish fold kitty today! I did! She was a light tan, but she had darker brown stripes in her fur and a ringed tail. And her cute foldy down ears were just the cutest! I know you wish you were me right now!
Okay, maybe not. I complain too much, for one thing. What shall I complain about today? Hummm
Managed to get the front of the lawn cut, finally, before I had to leave and then it started to rain again. Silly rain. My weather widget shows rain for the next 6 days (and some thunderstorms even) so maybe the back will get cut in another week or so. Oh well.
No response to my email about the broken motherboard. Did I think there would be?
Jobs went fine, my first one was weird. He was just trying to copy some user created (as in not retail) DVDs. He couldn't, it gave some crappy error just after starting the burn (and thus ruining the disk). I tried my bestist DVD burning software I give people, the ifraRecorder and it at least complained about something as it started reading the disk, saving the disk. Naturally, hooking his external DVD drive up to MacBook Mini worked just fine. Huh. I figured out there was an option in the software to skip reading whatever it was complaining about, and that made it work.
So, Mac once again works perfectly the first time, PCs user spends hours, real money, and wastes disks. About par for the course.
Otherwise a cleanout for a person seeming to send AOL spam mail, who had no viruses, so it was just her stupid four digit, all number password that was probably cracked in about a minute. Changed.
Setting up a laptop, easy.
And answering all of Dr Jay's questions, he always has weird things he wants me to do. Oh, and finally sold those infrared headphones I bought at the ABC sale for the lady I previously sold my old amp to so she could amplify the sound. The amp was giving her problems and I was like, here, bought these for you months ago when I saw them. Aren't I nice? I am!
Sean's tomorrow, yay! I'm going to see Jim about his cell phone password and some GPS thing, drop off the laptop I fix awhile ago, and then off to *shudder* hilton to clean out a laptop. Then over to see Grandma, to put in my hour of pain before the evening of fun.
Two for saturday afternoon and that'll do it for this week. It seems to have been about two weeks long.
Now I have to go make a darkbolt character who is immune to everything, just to see if I can do it.
