And if that made sense, you need to lay off the booze!

 

So friday went well/not well, I actually got to stop in early to the place I thought I would be visiting in the afternoon and finish him up. (rebath). So after I got home, I got a call from Danny who said he just got DSL but one of the laptops wouldn't connect to the wireless. So I tried walking him through some stuff, and then just went over there. This was of course a mistake. Never try to be helpful, that's my new motto. (joking) Anyway, there's something really weird going on in that place. I finally got the one laptop on, but then the other wouldn't work. So then I tried a brand new router, and didn't even get a signal out of it at all! (I brought it home and it worked just fine right away). So what should have been a ten minute job became like an hour and a half. And the "solution" was to just string some wires around so they just plug in. So much for wireless. So I got to the next guy a bit late. But he didn't have much, so I got to grandma's and mom's just fine. 

 

Then, Sean's! Mizzy made a yummy casserole sort of thing with tortillas, chicken, cheese. I provided the chocolate cake. I did not make said cake, there wasn't enough time before I knew I was going over there and when I actually left to go over there. But that was good too. 

 

Game went well, we actually didn't die trying to rescue the four crew members, though it was a pretty near thing, let me tell you. Harvesters suck. But they'll be famous for being the only people to actually escape from them, not that anyone will believe them. HA! 

 

Then saturday. No appointments, so I hung out here. Read half the last Harry Potter book again, worked on the character generator, played a little Dark Sector, then back over to Sean's. I brought my binder in thinking we were doing Shadowrun, I didn't need my HDL stuff. Went over to Debella's, got the subs, walked out thinking haven't I forgotten something? Realized my character sheets were in the binder, not in the book. Crap! Faced with the prospect of being even later (I tried to leave early but then realized some things had to be done) I just pressed on, figuring I could just borrow someone else's character for the evening. Turns out he had the original scan of my sheets, so I could at least fake it a little.

 

Shadowrun bothers me. Why play a game where the rules are so complex, and spread over four or five books, that you spend more time looking stuff up then playing? I mean, yes, we only play it once every couple of months, but still. Give me Paragon any day.

 

Sunday is of course Dr Who day. Finally did last month's paperwork as well, figuring rightly that there's only one more week in this month, maybe it should get done? Finished Harry Potter. Cleaned a bunch as this was sadly lacking last week. Little more work on the character generator. And suddenly it was phone call time. Had a decent amount of calls, booked tomorrow with three and one for tuesday. Wednesday I take Tamara in for her blood test to see how the medicine is working.

 

There was a tentative plan to perhaps play some Left4Dead 2 tonight, we'll see if that comes to pass. If not I'm ready for tomorrow, I'll just work on the character generator some more. It's nearly there, so I'm excited to actually make some things with it and see if it really works.

 

Solid 80s all this week? It seems like only yesterday it was snowing. Oh wait, that was last week. But all too soon will I be sitting here typing "it seems like yesterday it was in the 80s."
