2018-10-11:

Fri:
Getting repetitive again, but I guess that's the nature of test.

Showed the feature to Mitch, he was like, so that's the feature? Hey, you don't drink coffee? I have this low fat coffee I hate. I was going to offer you some!

Thanks?

That was an odd one.

Anyway, did another model. I have two models left, well, two families left, there are lots of models in each family. They shouldn't be signed out next week so I should be able to finish up fairly quickly.

Otherwise boring as heck.

Did the shopping, saw my parents, saw a Gabe, held an Emily, went home.

Checked the sites, put in the corrections for today (sigh) and talked to a lady with an iMac. Doing an upgrade seems to have borked it, doesn't even show the recovery partition which seems odd to me. She does have AppleCare which is quite expensive, I told her to keep going with them, and I can bring a flash drive with the latest OS (which I had to download from a third party site because none of my macs will run it. Hey Apple, maybe I want to install it on a different machine than I'm currently on. Ever think of that? No? Okay)

There are pipes over the driveways around here, the water company must be doing something.

Sat:
Fairly rainy in the morning.
Didn't do much, watched the whole season 4-5 of Dragon Ball Z abridged.
Checked my sites, made lunch.
Got the OS X 10.14 installer made, I think. Difficult, not having a machine to run it on because even getting the file, it wouldn't create the USB flash drive. I had to use another 3rd party tool. Thanks, Apple!

Got ready to leave.

Delivered the system. Wasn't sure if the old drive would work, plugging it in produced nothing for a heart stompingly long time. But it finally spun up and I got his stuff off it. Had to give him a keyboard and mouse, the machine I brought didn't have PS/2. As well it shouldn't.

Then over to hook up the antenna. Hey, know why his wireless wasn't working? He turned it off. Yeah. No works too well when you do that, mister! Anyway, set up the antenna and of course he didn't know the wireless password so I had to go changing that, getting into the router first, another password he didn't know. Yay.

Then down the street to Sean's. Didn't stay too long, but did drop off the stuff and get some anime stuff.

Came back, watched some of it, then a justice league movie.

Sun:
Did the usual Sunday stuff. Reading. Cleaning the house. Looking at arcade games.

Finally got to the "RAM wreath" I've wanted to make for, oh, several years now. Sheesh, talk about procrastination. Hopefully it holds together!

Ordered the other parts of Mizzy's gift. Found exactly (I hope) what I wanted. It wasn't easy. But I think it'll be perfect!

Mon:
Know what else is perfect?

Yeah, me neither.

Got through another machine today, woohoo.

Let's see, another tomorrow, then Wednesday we'll get another tablet build, maybe I do some of that? Then I think this Thurs/Fri John is out so I might get roped into doing tablets again? Otherwise it'll be a new remoteUI build and finishing the last model of machine with that.

More corrections for the Susan story. I can't even imagine how.

Back home, checked the sites. Then took Squeak in. I've already cut his food to 1/3 of a can in the morning and at night, and limited the dry to a handful. Still overweight. The others aren't. What do you want me to do?
At least his teeth aren't too much worse. Ugh, $200 for the chemistry panel.

Sean got a pepper dog to go with his salt dog. Akira. Wait, the Akira that went sorta nuts as the most powerful psychic on the planet? That Akira? Huh.

Came back, ate dinner. Watched a time travel movie, it was okay.

The wreath came out okay! I picked it up and it didn't fall to pieces. I put the bow on it.

Did some reading.

Tues:
The bow held. I think it looks pretty good, especially for something I made!

[[image file="2018-10/wreath.jpg" alt="now that is recycling" ]]

In terms of work, it was the usual today again. We did get a super cider squeezy 9000 which I plugged in and updated. It was only 1 week behind, but that's okay. I checked it out, and it worked just fine. Someone needs to hook up the finisher, I can't figure out where to plug that in. So I did two machines today not one. Go me.

Tomorrow, tablet stuff probably just because.

Came out of work and it was beautiful out. So warm! I came home and then went for a walk. Just to soak it in, knowing there won't be much more for a while. Well, maybe tomorrow but you get the point.

Checked my sites, ate dinner, told a man that yes, he was being scammed.

Got half the stuff for the remainder of Mizzy's gift today. Wait, didn't I order that Sunday night? It only took one day to get here? Sheesh, what was it delivered by drone? No, it was delivered by some weird car full of amazon packages that pulled up to the house. Weird.

I mean it was delivered by a person, a person in the car, the car didn't launch the package out the side window or anything.

More water madness, more pipes and marks on the road. Apparently they're going to hook up to the water spigot on the side of the house. Mine leaks pretty bad, is that going to be a problem? Apparently not, on the walk I saw the things leaking all over the place. Wait, does this mean water is free? I mean, it's bypassing the meter, right? And the pressure is going to be crap because it's such a smaller aperture. Or does that mean it'll be better? I guess I'll just have to see.

Wed:
Well I give today a 10/10!
A perfect 10.

Ha!

No more of the same, and by that I mean a demo of more of the apps being localized and then loading said software and trying it out. Actually wrote some bugs, I figure why not it's my job or whatever. Know what wasn't my job? Printing out Vegeta saying "It's a C9000!!!" and crushing his scouter to tape onto the C9000 we got before.

But I did that anyway.

[[image file="2018-10/vegita_9000.jpg" alt="oh you" ]]

Also finished reading the Susan story, so I can put those last few edits in. Sheesh, when I read it again in a year or whatever am I going to find more? So many typos.

Anyway, it'll be back to the remoteUI stuff tomorrow if we get a build as we usually do on Thursdays.

Back here I checked my sites, ate dinner, watched youtube stuff.

Thurs:
Turned today up to 11! Yeah, it's date puns 24/7 because I don't have one.
Huh, wonder where that came from?

Anyway, got the latest build in, I don't think they've done anything to the remoteUI feature at all. Did only a little testing, after loading it I needed to go do tablets because John isn't around. It was fine. A few had a bit of burn in, is our green circle spinning that much? Really?

Had some leftover cookies from some thing yesterday, they were just sitting there so, you know, I didn't want them to go bad or anything.

Came back, the usual stuff was done. Put in the edit for chapter 4, made my calls, I had two today. Huh. Didn't reach the one person.

But I do have one for Saturday at this point, something about his internet. Hopefully easy.

So the future- lots of shopping tomorrow getting macaroni and cheese ingredients for Saturday. A router in case I need one. Then seeing my parents a bit late, as they are setting up for a show.

I'll make the mac and cheese probably that night, as I don't know if I would have time, but it is 5:30 not 4:30 so maybe? Bah, better to make it and not worry. That's my motto.

Then Saturday of course will be work and Sean's party. Easy. Will I finally get back to writing Sunday? Who can say? Only future me, that's for sure.

Tough it out, there's only a few weeks until Christmas!!!! hehehehe. Ugh, snow. My leaves haven't even started turning, it was mid 70s today. 50s for the forceable future though.

See you next time!
