Here's a people that have a saucer land and a quarter million alien slaves file out and five years later they are let out of quarantine. They integrate into society and all seems well. Now of course this is a cop show, but even so, Earth is not gearing up for war? We just learned there is life out in the universe, and part of it has no problem enslaving other parts, and we are not building gun batteries on every street corner? We are not tearing the ship apart to learn how it works? Just seems a bit odd to me. The show is good though. It explores racism in a "safe" way.
Anyway, Sean gave me Alien Nation yesterday, which was fun. We played El Grande, Carcassonne, Cosmic Wimp Out, ate cake (some of us ate more then others :-) )and yummy shepherd's pie by Mizzy. Then when Stan and Sean left we continued with some Army of Two Fortieth Day. I got a very nice gun as my primary weapon and murdered hundreds of virtual people!
Saturday I also made salad, and played some more FF8.
So all in all, a pretty good weekend. I have a couple of jobs coming up tomorrow, one for Tuesday, regular shopping as well.
This week, Tamara would have been 17.
And I finally see temperatures all week above 50?
Now I must continue my exploration of spotty head aliens via what would have been an otherwise unremarkable cop show.
