Back at work, more Ken server stuff. Seems we're going forward with more (pointless) changes so I have to get him some server numbers so he can start setting up a new domain controller for us. We had a meeting about it.

Also helped two people understand our registration method for onedrive.

Worked on the dungeon, I have a pretty good framework thus far!

Did the shopping, went to the bank, saw the family.

Back here, started ripping the CDs I got. Why does disk 1 have Japanese and English titles, but disks 2-3 don't? It was actually all over the place, most of the others just have the English titles. It's fine. Got them all ripped. Now to finish up the current iPod, then put both FF7 albums on there and go to town.

Messing around, nothing much important. Some reading and going to bed.

Sat:
Busy morning. Started work on the dungeon stuff, writing out some ideas I had last night. That's the best time for ideas you know, trying to get to sleep and being "oh, that's a good idea!"
Decided to put in my deposit from yesterday. Uh, why is the amount $400 when I had an $850 check at least? Oh, it's gone in as $85.20. Neat. Goblin girl, you have failed me. Yer still cute tho. Went over there as they were open and they found the check and would "send it to the main office and have them change it." Really? You can't do it? That's kinda odd.

When I got back I realized all the snow had melted (yay!) and it was fairly nice out so I put away the christmas lights. Some absolute unit of a jokester cut one of my xmas lights strings. Didn't that happen last year too? Humm, blog entry from 1-4-24 says I took the lights down. No mention of any cuts. Anyway, you're hilarious, you infantile minded prankster. And yes, they were not chewed. They were cut. So bizzare. Who messes with christmas lights? It was cut in three places too. So strange. The question is do I bother trying to solder them back together and wrap them up or just chuck them. I really don't understand humans- I mean people! Fellow people. Obviously, we're all humans.... hahahahahahah. What a funny joke I made implying I was not human like you. Such a kidder Zorkan is- I mean I am. I'm the kidder.

Back to dungeon stuff.

Then some FF7. Got the area done! And into the next town.

Then to Sean's for game. We did actually get somewhere, we have some magic we can use to help us manage our demon friend. Maybe it'll be easier than we thought and the council was not being actually straight with us the whole time?

Sun:
Getting tax stuff around. In doing so I wanted to avoid the whole "you didn't contribute to IRA you took the money" and "you owe us $20,000" from well you know. Realized that my "financial adviser" who was supposed to take care of my IRA stuff, setting up the new transfers each month and doing a "catch up" transfer for last year... did not.

So thanks for that. What am I paying you for? Because I think I am paying her somehow. I see "advisory fee" on my statement but whatever. So I figured out how to do it myself. It should be all set up now, I just don't know if it comes out of the savings or the checking. I'll just have to watch it tomorrow, see what account is hit. It's all the same it doesn't matter I just keep more money in one and may have to do a transfer myself from time to time. (The checking doesn't get any money put in as I accidentally used the savings for the direct deposit. Whoops. I didn't think it was worth fixing)

Anyway, LPL has no tax forms for last year???? So I have no official form showing the $5000 into the IRA. (It stopped in Nov after the transfer to the new company) but I printed out what forms they did have, so in another two years when IRS (If it still exists, nach!) comes after me I can at least show that much. It's such a mess...

Checked sites and headed to my parent's house. At least that was the plan. My mother has a sore throat and is sneezing a lot. Think I'll stay here. Hopefully I didn't get anything Friday. Well, if I did, that's it.

Did my reading.

Made all the food for the coming week, and soup for 2 as it did last that long.

Got ready for tomorrow. I'll probably take the 3 mice out to my parent's house, it's warming up and I've put many more out there. They've got a good chance now.

Had dinner.

Then FF7. The current Queen's Blood "strategy" by the AI is I guess to put down a specific card, and then whatever I or they do increases the strength of that card. And then they win. Because of that card. So I guess it's the strat of many card games, as in it's not your personal skill at the game, but if you simply have the correct card needed to win.

So I said you know what? Forget it. And I stopped caring about the stupid card game. I looked it up, and the only reward for doing the card game plot seems to be more card game plot? Nothing story related? As the game is terrible why would I want more of it with no real reward?

I got up to the cave though, you know the one. Barret got picked to go with Nanaki? And that's it? No third party member? I guess it's fine, they're doing okay so far. Switched around the Materia of course, some kind of preset would be nice, even the old game let you switch easily between party members, but I can remember who had what when it's over. Love that system.

Mon:
Caught mouse 10 and 11 last night. So this morning 5 little mouse-o's went free. Good luck out there little guys.
Put in the task for Ken to make our new servers.
Helped Christina with a versalink error.
Tuesday is going to be meeting day. We have a license discussion for the onedrive stuff we talked about Friday, and then a "setup steps document" whatever that means. Of course the usual Joe meeting.
But today? Not too much.
Looked over the dungeon stuff once more, added some details and on the whole I'm happy with the next two. I need some graphics for sure, the map basically, but I don't think it can be improved upon.
Oliver's surgery got moved to this Wednesday, as they had a cancellation. Sorry bud, but let's get it over with, right?

Otherwise did reading. Not up to the next Library chapter yet for whatever reason.

Came back here, checked sites, had dinner. No calls.

The money is in my IRA or at least I'm seeing the totals but not on the other end, at the bank. Odd. Maybe it's only updated once a day or something.

Got all the graphics and made the maps. I just have to import them into roll-20. Nice.

Just did more reading. The best stories are the ones that go on forever, it seems. I still have over 100 chapters to go.

Tues:
Good, the money came from the savings, as I intended.

No mouse caught last night. Is the war over?

Nope. It is not. I just checked the camera footage. Mouse running around past the trap. Sigh.

Had the three meetings today. Not much else to discuss though. Just more reading. I know, I should have worked on the Library. The only excuse I have is Oliver was acting dumpy again this morning, so I was worrying about him. He seemed fine when I got home though, eating his snack and an early dinner. At least part of it.

Took Tinker out for his first kitty walk, as he was teasing quite a bit. Quite nice out. You doing okay out there, 11 mice?

Came back here, checked sites, had dinner.

Got ready for tomorrow. Surgery day! Get that credit card warmed up, it'll be $400 more with the blood test. Hope he gets through it okay.

Wed:
And he did. Relief! Got the call about 11:30 he was up and well. Excellent.

No mice last night.

Had a "fireside chat" today, so watched that.

Then worked on the color tables. We got the second model in so I loaded the software on another device, as the one we had been using was signed out. The device was down, of course, booter err. I rebooted it, but then got a different boot error. I then forced it to upgrade software, and it gave a different, non-boot error. I then wiped the NVMs and reentered the serial number. This finally made it work. Stupid things.

Had a Joe meeting, just informational not really important.

Then helped someone put their cards in correctly. Not sure why it hasn't come up, the requirement for the cert thing happened in 2022, why is this just an issue now? Anyway, got it going.

Did more reading, no writing as I kept getting interrupted.

Then got Oliver at 4:00. Took a half hour to get out of there. Sheesh. He has both front paws shaved and a big patch on his back that's bare and has some ugly stitches. He seems fine with it. Maybe still a bit drugged, he was hungry when he got home and he's been just sitting next to me the whole time. I go back the 29th to get them taken out. Oh, and his teeth were fine too, no extractions needed though she said yearly is probably best going forward, as the x-rays showed a bit of loss in the roots in some places. But nothing loose yet.

Did a kitty walk, it was super nice out today. But it'll get colder again before it's warmer.

No calls. Worked on the dungeon graphics. Not that we'll get to it this time, but you know. Got that all done.

Thurs:
Three meetings today. Plus more questions about certs and stuff I had to look into. They wanted the tools to get the certs from some cards so I said "try this one." Well, it wouldn't install of course. Why? Who knows! It installed for me on Win11 but then it didn't on my VM trying it. I figured out how to save a log (it's an msi thing) and a tool to open the MSI and change stuff. I figured out the error and deleted the part of the install process that failed. It worked! Huh? Stupid thing. Anyway that took some time. They got the certs off the card, so it was worth it.

Otherwise a meeting about XDM features, lagging us but able to change the login method now to the new stuff we did.

The usual onedrive meeting, oh and Christina got SSO working sorta, but we still can't use the app suddenly for no reason. Neat. The priority meeting, then watering plants.

Oh, oh, got a partial haul? Whaaaaaaat?

I know! It's mostly salad, but two pineapple (I missed you!) and a dessert. Oh yeah and some muffins, so Bubbles will be pleased. So weird for it to show up randomly. The guy was messing with the coffee machine when I went to lunch, so I went right back when I saw he was down at the other place. Weird. Nothing in the second location though. Is nature healing? Will the full haul be back before I know it?

Otherwise, just more reading I guess. No writing. Sigh. Really need to get back to that.

Got cat litter. How did I get 25lb bags and not 50? The stack was pretty low, and someone was there stocking. Did I just grab the wrong bag or did they change them? At least I got two, I wanted two 50 lbers but now I just have 1 50lb equivalent. Oh well. I'll have to go back soon enough.

Oliver was fine this morning by the way. And he's been on my lap a bunch since I got home. No kitty walk, it was raining and nasty out.

Tomorrow will be something or other I'm sure. Shopping, seeing my parents. Then back here to run game as far as I know. No cancellations yet.

Saturday I should do the gutters while everything is still not green. House stuff, no big plans. But then finally the Pyre game, rescuing Malachite.

Nothing planned for Sunday. Maybe progress with FF7 again? We'll see.
