Fri:
Did another hour test of the onedrive stuff.
There was another "training" to tell us about our "reinvention" or whatever we're calling it. At least it was truthful in the end. Money!

Did I do anything else?

Did the shopping. Went to the bank. Saw my parents.
Went over to trackpad lady, yup her button doesn't work. Showed her the "just touch it" method. And left her a mouse for the time being. Says it's hard to use because of tremors. Seems like the trackpad isn't that replaceable, I ordered the whole top piece for $40.

A cat (probably oliver) threw up all over my keyboard. Neat.

Got the proof copy. Oh, an error on page 1? Nice!

Checked sites.

Then game. Worked out exactly as I wished, even time wise. We got through it, right on schedule. Nice. They did miss one point but I can actually put that in the paper so they can get it, otherwise they basically led themselves around to all the interactive points in town without my prompting! Score! Now that's an adventure. Hopefully it was fun for them too.

Sat:
Got grapes.
Did a bit of winter stuff.
Did some Xmas shopping. Yeah, you heard me.
Did the cleaning. Moved my mug collection back into position. I feel the mouse problem is gone for now, no evidence on the counters at least for several weeks, so it's probably safe. I won't have to move the stove again.
Finished cleaning out my keyboard from yesterday. I doubt the smell will ever truly go away, I brushed it with a toothbrush dry while vacuuming it. It seems to type okay so it's not ruined. In that sense. Sigh.
Finished Alan Wake, powered through the last 2 chapters so I never have to play it again. Such a terrible game. Stay away from it.
Started Quantum Break. Seems a lot better so far. Could the main character have... powers? Agency? WHAT????
Had mom look at my sewing machine. She too was stumped. Why did it suddenly stop working? So weird.
Then movie. Gave her paper, grapes, and my machine to take home. Good luck!
Then more Remnant II. Beat up the floating crystal thing and watched a robot caretaker of a planet ship dissolve himself for reasons. Uh, okay so the place is just going to be empty then? This seems odd.

Sun:
Did the daily reading.
More Quantum Break. It suffers from the same problem DarkSector did. You make a protagonist with a host of powers, but give them a pistol with unlimited ammo. That now becomes their power. Am I more likely to try managing weird powers and trying to keep track of them or just press the button that makes my opponent fall down?

Also how did this company find so many employees willing to simply throw their lives away? I mow down dozens of them at a time (with my dinky pistol) and they simply continue to act as though they will be the one to stop me. If one of my co-workers got their head blown off by some madman with a gun, I would just let them pass. But that's just me.

2 calls. The guy who scammed himself that called Friday, thankfully he froze his bank account before they got money out of it. I'm going there tomorrow to see what they did to his PC.

Tuesday is Sean's birthday, I'm meeting him somewhere for that.

Then Wednesday a laptop that's not turning on right. Should be fun.

Oh and my phone is dead? At least I made the first call I guess. When I tried to use it again (seconds after hanging up) it was just crackly and then won't even give me a tone of any kind. It is pretty nasty out I think?

Watch some anime and went to bed.

Mon:
Nothing work related. We did lose power for a second. That was fun.

Got the two chapters done for this week. Probably another 4 chapters at most. The combat shouldn't be too long to write? I don't know. Now to work out the actual adventure. It could just be the attack, but I want to see where they go with it too.

Went to see scammed guy. Cleaned his machine out. Mbam found like 40 things. Huh.

Got home, hadn't lost power. Some did. But my phone is dead. Called for repair. And I did not speak to a human. Nope. It was one system after another where I just punched stuff into the keypad. Somehow they "tested" the line and just set up an appointment for tomorrow. Again, like last time will I have to drive back here or will they just repair it without me being here? (You'll recall my last repair they said they would text when on their way, but they did not, and it was fixed when I got back.) I suspect the line, it seems broken. So should be an "easy" fix. Replace the line. So weird, the last time I called they tried to get me on fiber. This time it was just machines and "goodbye." Uh, okay?

Checked sites, had dinner.

Worked on the pony game next episode. Made the big bad for the episode, but when to unleash him? Hummm... This episode is a little lean. Could be a good thing, they could direct it a bit more than usual. I don't know exactly how they want to proceed after all. May just have to wing it.

Then xbox for a bit.

Tues:
Usual meetings at work today. The Joe meeting first.

But no new work yet. What I did do was a speed read of the book. Knew I wanted to give it to Alyx at Sean's dinner tonight so I wanted to get as far into it as possible. Probably not a great idea because I would then be more likely to miss stuff, but I did catch a few things.

Got the notice at 2:45 that the technician was on his way. Rushed home, figuring he might just leave if I wasn't there. I was pulling in at home when he called. He was still 20 minutes away. Ugh. Fine. I got on the meeting from here using the web version of teams. Not that I needed to. We're sending them the new version, hope it works!

I pointed out where the problem was to the guy. He did his clips thing and said it wasn't that and left to look at the pole. When he came back... he fixed the problem I pointed out. It was a break in the cable exactly where I said it was. It's a really kinda a janky job? It's been spliced and taped but I guess it'll hold? It is working, for now.

Left to go back to work. Picked up the haul. Had to use the big bag.

Over to my parent's house. Gave them the stuff, then went over to Millennium games. Finally got to use the gift certificate I've had since last Christmas. Had Sean's birthday, gave Alyx the book, and came back here.

Got ready for bed.

Did an hour of Quantum. Got further. But stuck again.

Wed:
Wouldn't you know it! Nothing new yet, and Christina wasn't feeling well and didn't come in. Hope she feels better soon.

Worked on the next two episodes. Made some spells, added more content to the next episode just in case they go the way I hope they do.

Did some reading. Pretty slow day.

Out to second job. Why can't the repair thing MS tries to run do a chkdsk? Why do I have to do it manually? It's so weird.
Anyway, got him set again.

Got cupcakes!

Back here, checked sites, had dinner.

Worked on the character sheet and images I need for the next episode.

One call. Called at 7:00, reached her. "Sitting down to dinner." Okay, I'll call back in an hour. Didn't answer. Didn't call back. Typical.

Thurs:
The usual meetings, making some new builds of the onedrive app, and the usual status meeting.

Otherwise worked on the book, no new chapter but I was skimming it, putting in some references one character made to someone they had met in the first book. He wants to go after her, but without that it would have seemed sort of out of nowhere. Right? Right. So I added in that he had been thinking about her the whole time. That fixed it.

Christina was back.

Almost had a third meeting, but no, he figured out the issue. Thank goodness. More onedrive stuff, of course.

Back here, no calls.

Checked sites, had dinner.

Worked on the game. Got the battle maps together. I'll need to give Stygian some support spells I think. Figure out his MP and that.

Looking ahead I doubt tomorrow will bring much work. I'll do the shopping, see my parents. Run game.

Saturday I'll work on Mizzy's gift, we're doing the Veilwood game minus Ben. Maybe some more Quantum B?

Played a bit tonight. Got further.
