No haul. Stuff is dated the 13th so it could go either way.
No real work either.
Just did reading. Set device sleep timers, that's useful right? So many devices in the lab just seem to wake themselves up, for no reason. One device had a 120 minute sleep timer, I put it back to 1 minute. The power draw of this building...
Did the shopping, saw my parents.
Checked sites.
Then game. Still didn't quite finish, but that's okay we stayed on track for the most part. They got the books they needed, now put it all together back home, why don't you? Not sure how much longer they'll want to be there, could make the next episode skippable, and I have told them there are 12 episodes so episode 9 may be skipped. We'll have to see what happens next week.

Sat:
Did the sanding. No bubbles, as intended. Neat. It's still not "perfect" but let's all be real with each other for a moment here. Can we do that? Thank you. It was never going to be. But it's probably as good as I'm going to get it. I would have been quite embarassed had I been stuck with the one with all the bubble holes in the front. But I do not. So there. The one piece is much darker, whoops, should have realized doing 3-4 pours with 4 drops of color each pour would make it a lot darker. It's fine, I did like the color better but the bubbles mean it's not under consideration. Got the stands, they'll work out fine. Now if Mizzy's stuff would ship we might be in a little better place! Still, plenty of time. (It did ship or at least I got the notification it shipped on Sunday)

Over for game! A single luck check allowed our party to assault the keep and by "our party" I simply mean Snarly. How does a hag with no rating in Sun magic cast a grade 10 Sun spell anyway? I don't get it. There would be no way she could have succeeded. At least the example Hag in the book couldn't. Perhaps she was a special one. At least we got to fight some trolls at the end?

Sun:
Did the daily reading.
Had lunch.
Did a bit of warframe, finished off some weekly challenges for points.
Got ready for tomorrow.
Put air in the tires, got a low pressure warning on one on the way home yesterday. Didn't seem any lower than the others but they all could use some.
Watched a movie. It was just a group of people wandering around in the forest. I have many questions about why what happened, happened. But they will never be answered. So I wouldn't exactly call it a good movie. They can't all be gems I guess.

Mon:
No haul in the morning, so we'll have to check later.
Have much writing to do. The latest pony stuff, and trying to wrangle "story" out of the meandering comments made in discord about the wedding. I have a great stopping point in mind, but I would need 7 chapters to reach 80,000 words. I guess this one is just going to be a shorter book. Seems it can't be helped.
I'll do the pony stuff first. Our next game could be two weeks from now or like a month and a half. We aren't sure.

Finished the two chapters I needed to write. Neat.

No work stuff, so that helped. Maybe the last versalink build tomorrow? I couldn't find the email that had the date in it, I think they were off today so we're getting it the 17th? I think I recall this.

Came back home, checked sites, ate dinner.

Reached the people, not because I called them but because they called me. Going 20 minutes tomorrow to simply put a system back together. A very old customer of mine. Both in age and in going back many years. Surprised he's still alive, honestly.

Worked on the emberhaven story. It's slow going because we sort of skipped over a lot of the wedding prep, so I'm having to figure out Malachite's mood and dialog as we go along, based on things in the discord chat.

Tues:
Odd, the haul date is today again. Did they skip something?

Anyway, got the release of the final versalink software, They don't want to fix my bug, claim that the note in the spec was simply telling us it was a bad idea to change the cert with TLS 1.3 off, not a requirement. Uh huh. Sure.

Anyway, did a bunch of models that Christina loaded, after she did her upgrade test.

Also worked on the Emberhaven story. Got the chapter done, writing the wedding scene. Again, slow going because I have to make it all up.

Brought food home, my freezer was getting empty and we can't have that!

Went over to see my old customer. He's old now all right. 92 his daughter said. Not doing so good. But I put his PC back together and we at least figured out the password from his hint. Not his email password, mind you. She says she has it written down, but the paper is lost for reasons. Good luck with that.

Checked sites, ate dinner.

Got ready for tomorrow and did xbox with the others.

Wed:
Did some card stuff for another dude. He came and got some cards. I put card users back on the server, thanks for making me take them off, KEN.

Otherwise just writing. Finished book 2, ugh so short. Started book 3. Theme of.... I'll have to see as it goes on. Right now it's war. War with the Gloom, that is.

Otherwise not much else.

Saw my parents when I brought them many salad.

Then back home. Checked sites, videos.

What? Get into the "holiday spirit early?" Are you on crack? It's September. Why am I getting email from tractor supply about blow up santas, chickens with santa hats, and is that some kind of piglet in a santa costume? WHY?

(Don't worry, I already know I was just using humor as a WHY????)

Made a call. Just a checkup, a guy I put into the record book 9 years ago, 2015. Sheesh. Opposite way from home, but I needed to get cat food/litter anyway. So that's a good way to get over there.

Finished chapter 2! I'll tighten up anything for the pony game over the next two days. In good shape again.

Thurs:
Had the usual two meetings today. Learned we actually got the onedrive logs! What? You could have knocked me over with a 400 lb multi-function device. And there's actual errors in there? That's weird. Then why did it say success? Should be interesting- oh we can't give the developer their own logs because they're in Canada. Really guys, Canada is not going to launch some kind of cyber attack against internal IP addresses using onedrive server logs. Get over it.

Otherwise, some reading, noted down some details for the game, in case they ask about certain things. Some haul, so I'll have more stuff to bring to my parents.

Inventory time again. Dude, just use the serial numbers I helpfully printed as barcodes on the front of the devices. Oh, you would rather wander around in a daze instead of doing the job in 2 minutes. That's cool too. Baka.

Did the tuneup job. Didn't really find anything, and the mbam scan only took a few minutes. On a crappy old Win7 device to boot. Weird. It has an SSD, don't get me wrong but still. He thinking of getting a Mac. Good choice.

Looking ahead to the usual stuff tomorrow, shopping and seeing my parents. Then game. Should get episode 7 under control at last, I hope. They still have a few things to do in Amphibia. Perhaps not even things I have thought of.

Then Saturday, I want to make bread, look for grapes, maybe do the front step? Figure I could try pouring some concrete on it, just to even it out a little. Oh, and there's a few cracks in the driveway I missed. Whoops.
Have my parents over.

Then Sunday the readings, and probably writing? I don't know. More Alan Wake? Haven't done that in a few days.

Sean wants to do xbox so I'll leave it there. Starting to get dark at 7:00, going to get worse. Already seeing Halloween stuff out in people's lawns. And is that pumpkin spice I smell?
