Not much at work. Still haven't figured out the cert thing. We're using the same commands but one works and one doesn't???

Oh I forgot to tell about the haul last time. Didn't think I got it, but I did. The main location had nothing there, though it didn't seem like that bag had been changed recently. So I went over to the other area and found everything over there. Why? Why did you take with you the food you were going to throw away, just to throw it away in a different can? It doesn't make sense.

Finished the proofread. Well, finished a proofread. I'm sure if I read it again I would find more. But I've stopped all testing so there are no new cases.

Bank, shopping, saw parents. Set up his wi-fi on the new pinball game. I tried a couple of the tables, and did better on some than others. Go figure.

Then home for game. We beat up the fake boss and survived. How do I get better though? My method of using "pals" in battle is meaningless if Sean can just turn them off. Sigh. I already can't hit any more accurately, and my magic is as strong as it can possibly be. I can never hit any harder than I do now, nor move faster. I can't attack more times, my delay is already minimum. That's why I made the "pals" in the first place, to be a force multiplier! But if this is a preview of the final "boss battle" I won't be able to use them there, either. I do have a plan though, it'll take several weeks until it's workable. (In game and out of game, both) Basically just making a better version of the weapon I already have, giving my old one to Taro, and making another long range one. Seems silly to buy a skill up to 10 to make two things and then never use it again but what else is there? Like I said I've hit a wall in the game and have nowhere to go. I see why that guy in Bleach did what he did, to a certain extent. It's the only real avenue for improvement left to me. (Given the limited selection of magic I can learn, and how slow it is to cast in combat so I don't really want to use magic like that in the first place.)

Sat:
Cleaned up around here.
Wrapped the Valentine's gift.
Worked on the site. Posted the newest book as it's finished. Straightened up the HTML too, it was all over the place. Sheesh, you're a failure as a coder. I should post the Demongate High books, no one is buying them. Maybe I'll work on that next week.
Ate lunch.
Worked on the cover.
Made a book! Ordered the proof copy, let's hope I don't need to make any changes! Paid for the faster shipping, I don't think I would get the copy, be able to read it, and then order the second batch before March, they move kinda slow. Amazon this is not.
Messed with my rom collection, started putting pictures in for the games that don't have any images. And getting rid of duplicates, of course. Finished it for my N64 collection.
Then xbox with the others.

Sun:
Did my readings for the day.
Then started the kitty clawspace reclawmation project. I want to turn my crawlspace into a kitty play place as I really don't see myself crawling in there to store stuff, and it's a huge space that runs basically the length of the house. Perfectly kitty sized, they're very short. I mean have you seen a cat? I'm not using otherwise. I got rid of nasty insulation that had fallen down and vacuumed the place out. Measured the gaps so we can put some boards up there and finish the floor, yeah thanks for not doing your freaking job, home builders. Did you think I wouldn't go in there? Did you think I wouldn't notice? You were wrong.
So at least it's cleaner up there and ready for step two.
Watched a movie.
Got ready for tomorrow.
Did some Xbox.

Mon:
Pretty boring at work. Some discussion with Don about this project he's not even really involved in? Are you bored, Don? Did some timing tests.
I should go back to work on the Isakai story but switching gears after doing Emberhaven so long isn't doing me any favors.

I did a bunch of reading instead. I'm so weak.

Came back here, actually saw the sun. Oh, and there was a gander of geese at the entrance both going into and coming out of work. They stayed pretty close too. Silly gooses.

Checked sites, videos, and watched movies.

No calls.

Did more of my game list.

Tues:
Similar story at work today. I did finish the timing tests and noticed something interesting. Our OneDrive app makes files that are way bigger than our scan to USB does. Like, 10x bigger. I think if we could solve that, get the file sizes about the same, it would solve most of the "can't get the job" the client is seeing.

We also had another meeting with them. Mostly Karen telling them what she had done in the meantime and showed my results. So pointless. At least it was quick.

No haul, and the cases are pretty empty. Boo!

Sunny though.

Came back here, checked sites, ate dinner.

Spent an hour on the phone making a new email address and showing her that yes, her email was working. UGh.

Got ready for tomorrow, and then did xbox.

Wed:
Nothing new coming in at work.

We did have a "demo" of a feature coming in XDM. Sort of query of the machine to see what plugins it has. Neat. But we didn't get a demo of this new and exciting technique, no. We watched a movie, of a powerpoint presentation of it supposedly working. Huh? I said, as I did not understand how this was a demo. But everyone else seemed very pleased with it. Odd.

Got the next chapter written, and so many to go! It'll be one of my longer books. And it hasn't even been a week for the characters in the story! What is this, Stray Cat Strut?

Somewhat of a haul today. Lots of brownies, cheesecake, peaches (peaches, peaches, peaches I love you!) And one breakfast sandwich. That's it. Weird. At least it's stocked a bit more again. Oh, and one drink I'll give my mother because it's sugar free. I'm sure it'll be delightful and she will love it and drink it and have it and slurp it and taste it.

I got a blueprint yesterday for the third piece of the ship I needed, but I need 30 feather things to build it. I have 13. I did a round of looking for them, and I bought one and found 2. Sheesh. So I would have to run that mission another 7 more times if I only get 2 in it? Ugh.

Got ready for tomorrow.

Did the mission again. 40 minutes to get another 2 feathers. Not worth it. Need the others to speed it up. Sigh.

Thurs:
Nothing much new at work. The usual status meeting. No change there. We do have a lot of projects in the upcoming release and Don is all aflutter about it. As usual. It's always no problem, and he always gets so worked up about it. Dude doesn't learn from history.

Got another chapter done. Finally made it to the kingdom across the mountains, and getting closer to the ultimate villain of book one. But I'm not gonna tell you who that villain is. Maybe it's you, did you ever stop to think you are the villain in the kingdom across the mountain? I bet you didn't.

Oh yeah, was almost 60 today and I think tomorrow is going to be warmer. I'll pause here for you to close your eyes tight and really, really deny to yourself that climate change is real. Go ahead, I'll wait.

Of course I wouldn't make the mistake of confusing weather and climate, as so many do. But when the last 10 years or so has been the hottest on record every year, and it's near 60 in February in New York, you might want to consider something is going on.

Did a warframe mission. Yay, another 2 of the resource I need. Only 9 more to go.

Did it again later, only 6 more to go!

Made my calls, didn't reach one. The other was yet another person scamming themselves. How does this continue to work? No really.

Checked her machine remotely, didn't take too long.

Let's look ahead. Ah, some things for the coming days. The usual for tomorrow, such as shopping and seeing my parents. I'll probably invite dad over for lunch and doctor who on Saturday. Then Sunday will be The Big Game at Heather's for his birthday, now that everyone is better.

Otherwise, nothing much planned. Oh right, game Friday. I plan to talk to a soul, see what Miki thinks about some defensive items because my offense is maxed out, and do a "cool" mission.
