2023-09-07:
Fri:
Back to mostly normal, actually.
Finished the next chapter in the pyrehaven saga. As the party was
almost destroyed I ended the chapter with me getting knocked out.
I'll start the next if I survive and get filled in on what happened.
In more than a month. Oh well.
Brought lots of food back. Still have lots, actually. And the dates
on the stuff in the case is the 5th, the day we get back. So I may
get even more that day. I'll be watching!
Looking forward to next week's lunch, I have a lot of my favorites
there.
Got cat stuff, then shopping. Forgot to get lunch for Monday, I'm so
dumb. I have to go back now.
Which is fine. Just fine.
Saw my parents, and two buns. They were in the yard, hopping around.
The buns, not the parents. Just making that clear. Such cute little
buns, I want to salt their tails and hug them.
Came back here, put stuff away.
Checked sites, did xbox with the others. Beat the second world, and
I got them a few things in my world as well.
Sat:
Went to get the food stuff for tomorrow because I spaced out on it.
Think it'll be pretty special!
I'll prepare the ingredients tomorrow, as well as do some cleaning
for Monday.
Put stuff in the driveway cracks.
Checked sites.
Took a nap.
A little cleaning.
Warcraft III? Not so much. I originally started playing on PC
because it seemed like I could install the "old" W3 there but not on
Mac. But the installer I guess is the same. So I figured I would
just install it on the Mac and move the saves over. Nope. It shows
them, but gives me an error. Darn it. I guess I could start over, I
think I was only in mission 5. I think there are cheat codes to skip
ahead, but then my hero wouldn't level. Hummmmm.
Cemu? Not so much either. Sigh. Cemu is an emulator that came to Mac
not too long ago. Ugh, it's still intel not Apple Sil. So it's
translating to x86 instructions and then to another set? That
doesn't make sense. You know they don't even sell intel macs
anymore, right? Anyway, still doesn't see the Xenogears game the PC
does, so no playing that over here. Never going to finish that game.
Checked cracks, put more stuff in where it had sunk down.
Ate dinner.
Did a kitty walk.
Worked on the gift, get it ready for printing. Fixing some errors on
it, hopefully for a cleaner print.
Then xbox with the others. We're on the trail of a specific item,
that you get by doing specific things, and it didn't work. We can't
take quest items from the world we're in so we have to reroll the
entire campaign and hope for the best. Neat.
Sun:
The big "get ready for the big day" day.
Vacuumed the rugs.
Cleaned off the driveway.
Cleaned off the deck.
Mopped the kitchen and bathroom floors.
Checked sites.
Ate lunch.
Worked on lunch for tomorrow. I have the filling prepared, I'll just
warm it up and stick it in the tortia.
Worked on the 3D modeling. 16 hours total printing for two pieces.
Should be great. Then I need to make a mold of the one piece, (maybe
the other???) and remake it in resin. Still have plenty of time,
that's what I keep telling myself.
Did xbox with the others.
Mon:
Played all the greatest hits; trimmed the berries and other bushes
around the house, picked grapes, sealed the deck, picked up the
sticks, had lunch, and put goo on the driveway spots I wanted to.
One barrel was just fine, even had enough to cover the big crack out
in the front and a few smaller ones along the way. Good times.
As always, a big thank you to my parents who helped out. Especially
for taking my sticks away.
Then came the cleanup and recovery. That involved a lot of liquids,
and sitting down a bunch. It was pretty warm today.
Checked sites, the usual stuff.
Got ready for tomorrow.
Did more xbox. We won the game! I would like to thank my teammates
that fought alongside me, and the star of the show: the turret. Yes,
hitting more often, and more accurately that I myself did, the
turret was the real star of the show and probably made the whole
thing possible in the first place. I was just there to keep the team
healed and deploy turrets, which did the hard work. I salute you.
Then we went and rebooted the multiverse? Huh, seems a bit extreme.
It's like burning your house down because you saw a spider. Well, I
guess it worked out so... Now to do endgame content like level up
our "explorer" class and track down the items needed for entry into
"the back rooms" whatever those are.
Tues:
Welcome back to work, everyone. Did you miss it? I did. I missed it.
No haul in the morning, keeping an eye on it! Nope, only got 2
vitamin water. Well, maybe tomorrow.
Had a fire drill, so that was fun. Hot today!
Worked on getting my health insurance set up. I couldn't get the
"key" because they somehow had the wrong zip code which was needed
for account verification. Had to call.
Otherwise not much. Wrote half the chapter. Yeah, so lazy.
Came back here, checked sites. Had dinner.
Took a kitty walk. Didn't eat any grass! (Him or me)
Set up a new set of music for my iPad as I got through it all.
Got ready for tomorrow.
Then xbox with the others. Starting from scratch, but seeing new
stuff!
Wed:
Only work stuff today was getting ready for the 5 minute demo for
tomorrow. We're doing email stuff, again, because we love and I mean
love to do things over and over and over again. We love it.
Otherwise, finally finished the current chapter, we just have to
figure out how to get the safe we stole open, and I got a decent
haul. Checked every few hours so it was nice and fresh, still cold!
Some salad, and the usual suspects so my parents can have plenty
this week.
Got back here, checked sites.
Did a kitty walk. Very humid out, I think it's raining tomorrow.
Got ready for tomorrow and did some xbox on my own. Getting close to
the final boss in my playthrough. No, I won't be fighting him. At
least, I don't think I will?
Thurs:
Gave the demo in the morning. Did both D7.8 and D8.0 so maybe that
will finally be the end of this feature? Maybe, for real though? I
hope so. I still have a test to run on D2.9 when I get it sometime
next month, then we can wave goodbye to it.
Otherwise the normal meeting, then near 3:00 Karen had to be told 3
times we had never tested single sign on with versalink before she
got it, and Don resurrected something originally from May of this
year about certs. So now I get to do more certs stuff, and I'm still
not entirely sure what he wants. But I'll document what I think he
wants and if he has issues with it, he can point out those issues.
I'll do that tomorrow morning as it was after 4:00 when I finally
left.
Ah, no writing today. I need to figure out the next part and I did
not do that. Nope, I did not.
Stupid Cinnamon Bun Bun!
Came back here, one call fairly surprised to see it after so much
not getting calls. The guy down the street from my sister. Took a
look over the phone, it was no problem. I don't have to go anywhere.
Got my key for the benefits site. And the guy was like oh it could
take three weeks. No. So I made my account there, made sure it
looked right, and it does. Hopefully that's the last major thing.
Checked sites, ate dinner.
Went on a kitty walk.
So the future, yes. Probably still not worth going to the bank. So
shopping as usual for the day. The cert stuff for Don. Maybe
figuring out the next part? Seeing my parents, and I think game
though nothing has been said up to this point.
Over the weekend, cut the front lawn. There's a small tree or two I
want to move that was uncovered. Oh, start Neil's gift printing.
Work on sanding and painting the other parts I already have printed.
That's enough for a good weekend right?
Right.
I'll get ready for bed and do some Remnant II I suppose.
See you all next week.
