Fri:
Not much work wise.
We are getting another weblet for the wireless thing, changing "localhost" to "127.0.0.1" and I have to wonder why it wasn't that in the first place? Or why it fails to turn one into the other in this very specific circumstance. And why a customer is using wi-fi for a printer anyway. It just sits there. Wifi is awful. Run a cable over to it. Very odd. But I'll do that Monday or something.
Wrote the next chapter. Getting closer to the rescue. Didn't meet any monsters this time, just traps, if you want to call them that. I think we'll rescue before any more monsters show up. That's fine.
No haul.
Did the shopping, another week without lemon juice sigh. So I only got a thing of milk. Yup, that's all I needed this week.
Saw my parents.
Came back here.
Checked sites.
No game, Sean is out at a convention this week.
Did a little Xbox, wanted to see if there was anything I wanted to buy. I did. It wouldn't work with the weapon I use. Sigh. Oh well. I tried it on my other bows, and while interesting, it doesn't raise them to anywhere near the level of the bow I usually use so the whole thing was a waste of time. Thanks, warframe.

Start next print, only one to go after this one is done.

Picked berries - I officially have more than last year. I bagged up 3 bags worth, and still have most of a large container. Plus many more to come! I didn't do as badly as I thought this year.
Cleaned up.
Print is still going well after lunch. Almost done.
Played a bit of FF7 Remake.
Worked on one of the laptops I got months ago. The only Win8 one, and this probably worth fixing up.
Had to jump through so many hoops. It was locked up so I just tossed the drive and put in an SSD. Installed Win8 because it hadn't been taken to win10, and it insisted "the product key was locked" or some crap. Uh, excuse me? No. It's an HP laptop with a Win8 sticker on the bottom. So I had to brute force a new user on there, make them an admin user, wipe out the old account, clone the drive to the SSD, and then upgrade it from there. Each step of this process was met with "you need admin rights" and "you can't do that!" But guess what, MS? I did it. Stop putting roadblocks in the way that have easy workarounds, that are simply annoying. I'm going to do what I want. Make it easier. Also, are you really still protecting an OS no one buys? Oh sure, maybe a system builder buys a copy for some brand new hardware. (like I didn't do when I upgraded, hummmm) 99% of people don't buy windows. They just get it free with their hardware. Stop all this activation nonsense, it's not useful anymore. Still, the transplant seems to have worked, win10 is updating so it looks like that's about done.
Had dinner.
Print finished up pretty much perfectly. Fits together well with the other pieces. Hopefully next week finishes this one off and I can start on the next one! Parents came over. Thanks for installing the garbage disposal!

Worked on, uh, the next book? I wonder if there will be one following this one? Seems there could be? One of my characters will go around helping implement some new magical solutions for people that have the spark but didn't know it until The System came about. Don't know if it's enough for a whole book. Naturally I would need some force working against him... Maybe the Queen? But it's not technology so would she even care? Hummm.
Had lunch.
Left for email lady. This was at 1:00. I didn't get back until 5:00. Thankfully that only happens rarely now, but it does and it's still super painful. Got her email moved fairly quickly. Then we had to go through how to update all the accounts she has. Then we had to do the same for people she emails. Then there was "what's a folder" that we've been through once before and how to, you know, save a document into a folder. How many years have you used computers? Oh, 20-30? And you don't know this? I think you're lying. Some dude, who I guess is not a painter but an acupuncturist, came and did painting? The heck? Just paint if you want things painted. You can't be that useless. At least the dogs were happy to see me. A little too happy.
Ate dinner.
Got ready for tomorrow.
Made a call, just a tuneup I hope.
Played some Remake. Sector 7 is gone.

Mon:
Got started on the new weblet test.
Food is dated for tomorrow so maybe tonight or tomorrow it'll be emptied?

Could not do the weblet test. Broke immediately. As always. Can't register the one, and the other has an error. It's so fragile, are we sending this to customers?

Other work thing done: a new D4.0 build I guess we're taking as the pre-release. I did the NTLMv2 testing on it, very quick test. It's fine.
Also updated the records for the MED test as that's done.

Finished the chapter. Rescued the folks in the dungeon. Now to get the rest of the treasure.

Went to second job, it went fine, but his print head seems to be unsalvageable. Oh well.
Brought home a kid's chair for the cats, you can rip that up all you want kids. Or sleep in it, whatever.
Got rid of the mouse. Good luck out there little guy! Don't get into any more houses they might not be as nice as me.
Checked sites. No calls. Ate dinner. Got ready for tomorrow.

Tues:
Got a decent haul, brought most of it home though it was mostly breakfast stuff.

Got the weblet testing done, the one machine had the stupid proxy in, that's why it didn't work. And they again did back end stuff to get the other one to work. So I finished up that test. No issues. As expected.

Worked on the next chapter. Wrote the combat wrong, I was calculating her damage wrong, so I'll have to rewrite it.

Did the settings dance for NTLMv2 again for someone, get your own server!

Picked berries.

Oliver was in the new chair, yay!

Checked sites, had dinner.

Did Halo 5, for a change.

Wed:
Some work done today. Loaded the new build for the demo I've once again been conscripted into.

Loaded it also on another machine that I had the keys for, to check the localization and another bug have been fixed.

And did a thing for Gina loading the old weblet and then the new one. Exciting stuff.

Worked on the chapter, haven't finished it. Rewrote the fight, I actually think it went faster this time. A called shot makes all the difference.
It's just wandering the dungeon now though, time for it to be other but there's at least two more fights in there.

Did reading, still this same story it never ends.

Came back here. Picked berries. Had dinner. Let the mouse go.

No calls.

Played more Remake. Aerith says "you can't fall in love with me." Far too late on that score. Next up- rescuing her.

Thurs:
The usual meeting today.

But before that I ran the demo. Quite quick, as it was before. No issues. I also tested another model, and crossed that test off the list.

Finished the chapter. One beast to go and the dungeon is closed.

Came back here, Oliver was in the chair again, so I guess he likes it.

Picked more berries, still more to come.

Checked sites, had dinner.

So what's coming up?

Not much work on the horizon at this time, but I'll do the shopping tomorrow, see my parents. I only have three checks but one is my dental insurance so I'll probably go to the bank.

Then game, at least I don't think it's canceled.

Then saturday I want to finish the print. We have the pyre game scheduled, hopefully that'll happen. I think Stan is staying home, easier for him though really he's had a month of recovery at this point. I have no idea how fast recovery from what he went through is though. To be clear.

Then Sunday maybe start the second gift.

Of course there's yardwork in there, picking berries. Nothing much else planned.

Did some Remake. Just helping the townsfolk after the plate falls. As one does. Almost back to the main plot. Still have one quest and one stash to find.
