2023-05-04:

Fri:
Fed everybody. Angel ate all her food so the freezing thing seems to work out. Made sure she got her Churru too, and Gabe didn't get it! Silly Gabe.
Again, not much work to talk about today. There's some trunk stuff coming, and new versions of stuff I've already tested, but it was pushed out for reasons. So I would normally have had work but we can't stay on schedule for anything so here we are.
Wrote a chapter.
Found some very unhealthy buns in the trash. Am I still going to eat them? Naturally.
Did the bank, then shopping. Came back here, sites, and then game.
We got out of the mirror without too much trouble, did the ritual, and that was that. There was another ghost in there to help us, otherwise it would have pretty much been game over.
Our next adventure takes us to a river. We met the monster, hopefully we can talk him down.

Sat:
Got up, went over to feed everyone. Tomorrow I can let the buns out, Midnight is always right by the door and interested like "you're letting me out now, right?"
Stopped at good will on the way home, as I hadn't gone this month I realized. Got a few goodies for the game, but nothing spectacular. Surprising number of people in there at that hour. And if you need a flat screen TV, it's a good place to look. Even for giant ones.

Got home, cleaned the car a little, mostly the plastic foot dirt catcher things, but some dusting as well.
Did the upstairs floor again, it looks actually clean how, didn't think that would be possible.
Put catnip and Milkweed seeds in the egg cups. Put more milkweed out in the yard. Still have some seeds left in the bag. When it's not raining I'll stick the pods someplace and let them blow away I guess. Maybe I could put some in the blackberry area? They have grown there successfully. Now if I can just get the butterflies to notice and use them.

Then it was time for lunch and movies. Watched the mummy, that my daddy gave me. And another because why not. The video I watched that was critical of the film was right.

Then story time. We're into 2021 by the looks of it. Still going.

Sun:
Went to feed everybody. Let the buns out, they were happy, running around the room and playing.
Went to look for a cell phone pouch, as the clip on mine broke. Did not find one. Why does neither staples or Target sell just a generic cell phone holder? Local businesses wonder why Amazon is eating their lunch. Maybe this is why? Because you don't have the product I want to purchase? They didn't even have anything like what I wanted. Just a tiny pouch, big enough to put my cell phone in so I don't have to put it in a pocket. That's it. There's a million of them on Amazon but you don't think to stock even one? Crazy.
Went to sunday job, it was fine, basic stuff. Like really basic. Wrote up some instructions for him, answered questions, found out why his dropbox was full.
Back here, ate lunch.
Did some reading.
Then more Legacy. Ah, got to the season change and care of magical creatures class. I think I'll put that far earlier, like in chapter 19 rewriting the beginning. I said nothing happened on Friday, I think I'll put this class here. I'm going to have to come up with some reason to "delay" the events in the story like a month as the game timeskips a LOT but that's to come. I still have to find the map chamber, do the first trial, and curse out some dead people and their portraits for being stupid. Really, really stupid. It'll be glorious.

Mon:
Got a decent haul, no salad. Plenty for this week and some extra for my parents.

Other than that, not much of note. Did have an hour meeting with Don and Christina about things that may have been done to "old" versalinks, but now that "new" versalinks are more "altalink" than "versalink" customers buying them may wonder about features they paid for but the machines no longer have. Whoops. Stupid marketing.

Did get two chapters done. And I haven't killed a single goblin yet, but I finished the first trial.

Put in the LCD at second work. Went fine, it actually fit and everything. What a concept.

Back here I checked sites, ate dinner, and did more reading. So much more to go.

Tues:
Made up for it today though. Got like 6 salad, plus some market salad they'll have to use up right away. An overflowing tub, where yesterday I only got half a tub. Weird. I couldn't fit anything but the salad in the bag, so I'll have to bring more to my parents on Friday.

Didn't get much writing done. Had two meetings, they're still ditzing on cloning and what to do about it for the one feature. And the usual Joe meeting.

But I mostly had actual work. I know! I feel the same. What a crock! The card stuff got put into D7.8 so I did that. The test plan also needed to be run by some other group, like in India or something? They asked me to do it and as it was 80% the same I agreed. Why not?

Anyway got it done. Only two more trunk features to go.

Came back here, checked sites, had dinner.

Then back out at 7:00 for the scammed guy. Changed all his passwords, and believe me he had a lot of bank passwords. Like, a lot. Didn't get home until 9:00. No Xbox tonight. At least most of them he knew or had firefox save so I could change them easily. Still took a long time.

Wore a mask? Dude, it's been a year, give it up. Though I do still see people at work wearing them. Whatever, you do you.

Wed:
No meetings today and little work. Either I was lied to or they fixed it, but Sreyas got D7.7 installed on our prototype machine despite warnings it would not work. Neat! So it's useful again. It was broken for a while, I forget the specifics, but all better now.

Finished two chapters. We met Poppy, such a little ball of sunshine I almost think she's my favorite character for some reason.

Tried to get a fly out of the lab by trapping him in the waste basket. He just doesn't want to go in there though, but he will land on it. Stupid thing!

Yes, that's the level of excitement I'm talking about here. Tomorrow will be much worse, meetings all day. The card fellow in India, the status meeting, the onedrive meeting, I think I saw a forth but I'm not sure now what it could be.

Came back here, checked sites, ate dinner. Finally got caught up in the story. Boo, now I have to wait like the rest of you linear time organisms.

Found out I screwed up Legacy. I had done my "new game+" thing with the save editor and gotten all the spells and such. Must have opened the door to the faculty area at some point, but now I'm at the point where whoops, I need to unlock that door as part of the quest. But the lock isn't there, so the script doesn't trigger. I can't complete the quest. As it's a "gold" one, it's needed to progress the game. I'm stuck. It was too long ago to just use an earlier save if there even was a auto save that had it. Looking into my options, maybe a mod can help? The save editor doesn't exactly allow you to control the placement of every single object in the game. Sigh. So my options may be to start over from scratch, or switch to a lets play on youtube to get the next scenes for the book. GURRR.

Thurs:
Good news all around, as I know you were worried after that last entry. I found a save game in almost the exact spot I had stopped at! I just had to re-do the beasts class. It's further leveled not that it means anything in this game, and using a combination of the save editor and a character editor I managed to put my character back the way they were. I set up my Room of Requirement again, did the beasts class again, and we're set. None of the optional quests are done, I doubt I will but we'll see. After the first week word will spread about her and everyone will be clamoring for her help, maybe? We'll see. I have to get past the goblin quest that goes nowhere, to see what's next in the main storyline.

Not as many meetings today either. Card guys got their server working so we didn't have to meet there.
And no onedrive meeting as we got the final build and I looked it over. That task is finally done and marked as such.

Had the usual status meeting through. And another meeting about cloning at 8:00. UGh.

No haul, but everything is marked the 5th so we'll see.

Finished the next chapter. That's all I've got, I'll need more game content to continue.

Came back here, looked at the Legacy stuff.

Checked sites, ate dinner.

Started the second story. The story I was reading suggested another story so I'm reading it now.

Then some Legacy. I think I have enough to at least do part of a chapter tomorrow, assuming no other work activity takes priority.

Looking forward we have the usual tomorrow, shopping, and seeing my parents. Game. Continuing the river disappearances questline. I just hope we can talk down the kappa.

I have a job Saturday, should be quick he has a mac, not even sure what he wants. That's at 11:00.

Then to Sean's for the last Shonen game. We'll pick up with Pyrehaven, as you may recall, now that Stan is in recovery and not the hospital. He won't be joining us physically but only in spirit.

Sunday, ah, whatever. If it ever stops raining maybe yard work? I can plant more milkweed in the big tree area out front I realized. I'll need to take a look at the berries on the side, see what the weed situation is. They're doing just fine, thank you very much.
