Fri:
Some action today as I used machines Christina upgraded to test and make sure the onedrive app still opened, as it was the official release of that code. It was only a few, but it seemed fine.
Otherwise not much. No haul. Stuff is dated today so maybe Monday?
I did get a spider man. Ted had a ton of stuff related to Marvel in his cube, but all of it but one thing was gone when I swung by to, uh, make sure he hadn't forgotten anything, yeah! He had a large cardboard cutout of the web crawler he had taped a sign to "Ted has left the building." I waited a day out of respect and in case he had promised it to someone, but when I saw it was still there I made it mine.
Shopping, saw my parents.
Then game with Stan. Not too much happened, but it's good to see he's recovering. We reunited the ghost of the mother with her son, somewhat under false pretenses but it all worked out in the end. We then looked into reports of dog spirits obducting people and headed over there. We looked into a cabin in the woods and have been confronted by a dog in the forest as it was time to stop.

Sat:
Mostly Legacy. But some cleaning here in the "real world." I opened a puzzle door and it swung open, pinning me between the door and the wall. Good playtesting, glad you found that one. I had to fast travel away from it and try to figure out how I had gotten there in the first place. Got some unicorns! And now a baby one. They've kicked me out of the castle (so to speak) once winter started, as there are now tons of missions you can do outside. It really should have been two games after all. Also in winter the trees got decorated, and there are huge Christmas trees in the main hall. When exactly is this game set? It was only after 1843's A Christmas Carol that... Hold on. I see, right, it seems other places decorated trees far earlier than we did, as it was considered a "pagan practice" because of course it was. Have to keep in mind this story isn't set in ye olde colonies so it's possible wizards took the tradition from Germany. It is only 700 or so "miles" to use ye olde measurements between Germany and Scotland. And we all know about those "pagan" Germans. Yeah, very big over there. It's actually quite odd, would wizards want anything to do with the religion that was actively persecuting them? I guess maybe it would be "we did it first" and the non-magic population took their cue from wizards they saw? Anyway, murdered lots more people, still no consequence for it! Whew! Wouldn't it be awkward for a mother with a crying child to show up at the school and get in your face that you killed her husband and she tracked you down? Hilarious.
Then movie with my parents. It had a lion in it.
Back to Legacy.

Sun:
Ah, more legacy. Stupid flying trials, my broom fishtails like a vehicle on ice, but I finally managed to get an acceptable time. Also that acceo game can bite me. Thanks for programming in that my opponent would screw up after like 10 matches, giving me a chance to win. I kept losing by 10 points and finally managed to squeak by a victory of 10 points. If wizards really did have gravity magic I think they would use it for more than an obstical in a game but maybe not.
Had 4 total calls, had to answer them.
Didn't reach one guy, it was camera guy from a week or two ago now saying something about his email. He can't send or receive? Uh, sure, okay, did you try just using the gmail site directly instead of your client?
Another was the lady from a few weeks ago, who didn't reset her apple password. I told her she would have to go through the process again, and get the apple link after the confirmation period or whatever they make you wait through. Nothing I can do about it.
Another told me about her spectrum account being linked to her deceased ex-husband's account. Whoops? Also he was a customer of mine too, so won't be going back there. When his account was deactivated hers went too. But it should have been separate at that point? She is going to move everything over to gmail. Good call.
Final was just making an email filter.

Little more Legacy, just got a phoenix! There's only one more beast type to catch. You gotta catch 'em all. But it takes a mission to find that one and I'm not to that point yet. Wonder if I can find another phoenix now and get babies. Have to look into that.
Then xbox with the others.

Mon:
No garbage food yet, stuff is still dated the 31st of last month. Get it together, right in the trash can.
Had a demo of a new feature, so I guess I'll have to put it on a machine and check it out. What is this, work or something?
Tragedy has struck! I went early, around 10:40 to check on the cans. Figuring it might be done before the lunch crowd I figured that was late enough it would be done but early enough no one would see me. But the person that empties the cans was rolling their stuff towards me. The can had just been emptied! I hastened to the other site, which was intact, and at least pulled out salad, and enough stuff to cover this week. Nothing for my parents sadly. Though I do have lots of stuff frozen so I shouldn't be greedy. I do seem to get a constant stream, even if I haven't really gotten anything since 3/17. Nothing new has been put in there, strangely. But what is left is dated tomorrow, So maybe I'll get a second chance in a day or two.
Got the software loaded, it isn't in there? Odd. I emailed the guy doing the demo where I should expect it. Or not, because I realized I was using the wrong software. So silly. I loaded the correct software instead and used that.
Did what I could with the new build. Got at least some of the onedrive stuff done, and then decided to see if the new card stuff was in there. It was, I can log in with the new card. Great. So I did what I could of that too. Both will have more to do tomorrow.
Gave stuff to my parents and came home.
Ate dinner, checked sites, watched a few videos.
Got ready for tomorrow.

Tues:
Where did the food go? Checked in the morning, still empty, checked at 10:00 it had just been done apparently but nothing in the trash. Gurr.
Anyway, continued with the two tests, finished up the one machine for the new cards. The onedrive test didn't go as smoothly, apparently it wasn't reading the card card to get the cert, but that was fixed later. I'll take another build and load it on the "older" newer devices tomorrow and hope to get through another round. There are still a few questions I have about the whole thing, hopefully they can get answered.

Started a new story too. If you're familiar with my work on the Rational Dragon Warrior and my talking about Legacy you may not be surprised to hear the title: A Rational Legacy. I was going to wait until a second playthrough and record what went on but then realized that such must be on the Tubes, let's just download that. So I did. Let's see what life in 1890s Scotland would really be like. Looks like it took until 1850s for modern flush toilets to be found in homes in England, but Hogwarts was built around 990 AD. They had toilets a thousand years before "muggles" did. It's not like anyone renovated those spaces, otherwise the chamber would have been found a lot earlier.

 Came back here, checked sites. One call, a question about something.

Wed:
Had a meeting with the developers to figure out how to test the remaining things I needed to on the cert card stuff. We discovered my machine(s) don't want to load the cert his does. Very odd. He's looking into it but I'll probably still need to write a bug.

Finished the login test on the other two devices I wanted to test. Didn't take long, it's an easy test.

And then finished what I could on those devices for the cert stuff. I can't log in because he hasn't put the OneDrive app on them, but once he does (it's a special setup I don't have) I can bang them out easily.

Finished chapter 1 of the story.

Walked around the cube area they're tearing apart. Are they putting in mini cubes like the hated new section, or maybe some arcade machines and a mini-bar!!! Yeah, probably not that one. I found a cute frog to be a friend to my pirate duck. Not much else.

Came back here, checked sites. More Legacy of course. I'm only 1 main mission away from the end of the game. Still several side missions that aren't showing up. Do they happen after the main story?

No calls, got ready for tomorrow and went to bed.

Thurs:
Had one less meeting than usual today, as there wasn't much onedrive stuff to talk about.
The guy still hasn't gotten my devices registered, a procedure that takes all of two minutes, so I can finish that testing. My machine is loading the cert now, as is a second one, but not a third? Very odd.

Moved some plants around. One the lab died, don't know why I kept it watered, but I guess even plants aren't forever. I put some spider plants I had in pots in the big pot and went to get some other ones. In two weeks I'll snip them from the main plant and bring them back.

Got a fairly good haul! I saw the guy with the kart but it was lunch time and there were several people around. I did glance in there but didn't see anything. Odd. Checked it later all the way to the bottom and there they were. Great! Went over to the second site but it had been emptied? Bummer. But due to some super sleuthing on my part (i.e. luck) I got part two anyway. I found the hopper they use in a different, out of the way, place when watering. Score. Looked through it and there was my prize. So I have a few salad again, enough for me to eat next week, and I can bring a few to my parents. That's what I'm talking about.

Finished chapter 2. It's good to be writing again!

Did some tests with the machine(s) that will accept the cert. Works fine.

And that was pretty much the day.

One call, the guy down the street from my sister. Huh, if I go there Saturday I could swing by the other guy in that area and replace his optical drive. Yup, he said he'll be there. I can complete two field guide challenges at once in that area. (wait is that what we're calling them now?)

Looking ahead I have some test tasks ahead of me, some other SSO thing for Joe, maybe a whole lockdown test which will be brutal "to see if it still works" which is BS. But I guess someone has to test it? The challenge password guy is having trouble with the server (no, really? The guy setting it up has no idea what he's doing so tough?) so that may still be a thing. Fun times.

Otherwise shopping, seeing my parents. We'll game with Stan again, maybe they'll get some powers this time.

I'm super close to getting 100% in legacy. Like 98% there's just a few things I need to do like kill trolls. Stupid trolls. Gotta finish that up. Is there a new game+? I saw a mod for one if there isn't. Start over and take notes on the quests this time for the story. I probably would have finished it, but it crashed for the second (or third?) time playing so I just didn't open it back up. Gurr.

So that's the weekend. A second playthrough will go much faster if I'm already level 40. No need to do all the running about trying to find pages and whatnot. I can just do missions and make notes. Then back to River City Girls 2!

Ah, Easter, right. I'll be seeing my parents on Sunday for the resurrection. Zombie Jesus rises again. Don't worry, there's a bunny.
