2023-01-05:

Fri:
Not far off from what I expected. No problems at the dentist, but I do have a spot of wear at the back. Not sure what we can really do about it, I already wear the plastic retainer every night, so it's not me chewing on my pillow or anything (like in that joke everyone knows) that's causing it. My mighty jaw muscles are just too powerful!
Nothing exciting at work, I was literally one of, like, five people in the building. So worth it.
Left a little early.
Dropped stuff off, went shopping, brought the stuff home as it was somewhat (60!) warm out, then over to Heather's house. My parents were getting the tree taken out rather unexpectedly, so they arrived later. I got to at least see one kitty, and then another appeared. I was not greeted warmly. Her cats are snobs.
Had the party, came back here.
No game, a Wizard run and then bed. I finally got out the yellow cloak, so I can work on getting that at least.

Sat:
Took the holiday stuff down. See you all in 11 months angel, and tree, and everything else.
Checked sites.
Cleaning up around here.
Moved the calendar over to the new one. Another year older and deeper in debt. Saint Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go, I owe my soul to the company store.
3/5 people are sick, so no Sean's. I guess? He was saying we should cancel it. Which I thought meant it was canceled. But then later in the day he was still talking about doing stuff? I wasn't sure at all. But it was canceled, in the end. What am I going to do with all this turkey bacon I bought? Oh woe is me! I'll just have to eat it up I guess. It'll be a real burden I can tell you that much.
Played more Wiz of Leg. Actually beat the first stage and got to the second stage boss! Maybe the yellow cloak really is the key? Have a lot of new spells to play with!
Watched some stuff.
Did some Warframe with the others.

Sun:
Sites and videos.
Did the paperwork for last month, oh wow, two whole jobs. Seriously, when do I just put this whole thing to bed?.
Reminded myself of the appointments for next year. By that I mean I sent myself at work an email so that guy could enter them into the work calendar.
Put more of the DS collection on the card for work and put the entire thing into the emulator. That took some time. At least something screwed up and I didn't realize it, and it stopped taking the games out of the zip files. The emulator can open the zip directly, so it was pointless to do it. Glad it didn't actually work out. So they're in there, and most of them have the game art as well, nice. I'll have to go through it, remove all the sports games. I know, I won't be able to say I have "every" DS game but come on, even without the sports game, it's still every game. They don't count.
Slight rules discussion for the new game as I think we're getting a new member?
Finished a movie I didn't finish because of xbox yesterday.
Wizard run. Got to boss #2 who easily destroyed me. I was pretty reliced up, too. Sigh.
Then another after dinner. Wow I had so many relics you guys, I got a treasure room or two so I had spells and items galore. Made it to level 3 for the first time!
Was messing around in Warframe after watching a video and the others got on, so we did that for a bit. I guess with a certain setup you can do millions, if not billions, in damages. I think I can get most of the setup, it doesn't seem that bad...

Mon:
Day off!
Did a bit of warframe again, I needed to pick up my parts. Ugh, the item that ties everything together is only available at certain times, or trading with other people. Yeah, that something I'm going to do. Sigh. Wait, spoilers, Sean actually had one he could give me! Nice! I can do it after all.
Played a new game from xbox about a girl that can become shadow. Puzzle game. And I'm at the 6th chapter and the puzzles have yet to truly annoy me. Astonishing. I'm looking at you Myst, that every puzzle annoyed me so much I've picked it up and stopped playing almost immediately for the last 20 years.
Lunch.
Small discussion about magic in the new game.
Then back to Iris.Fall. Won it. Short game. A few puzzles tripped me up, like I didn't realize a piece I had put into place was now a control, but I got through it. Very "eastern storytelling" in that I have no idea what actually happened. The art though... Absolutely loved the book level, 10 out of 10, would live there.
Got ready for tomorrow, pretending it was a Sunday, and then did Xbox. Just reached level 30 on my Zaw so I can apply the item Sean gave me and start building it up to be the everything killer.
Oh and Neil's gift came, so I can bring that over before he comes so he'll never know. Neat.

Mon- Tues:
What day is it? What room am I staying in?
Worked on the second run of the D7.6 release, as the machine was free. No new issues, just the old ones.
That took most of the morning. Also redid my work record, put up the new calendar, that sort of stuff. *inhales* Ah, it's that new year smell. Can't get enough. *looks up* Why does it seem like it's 5:00 PM when it's 8:00 AM? Those must be some thick clouds up there, it was freaking dark this morning!
Not much else the rest of the day. A little trying to get some toner to work in a machine. It works in a different machine, the same model. Weird. Region locked? Toner????
Bought a calendar on the way home, usually do that earlier. Whoops.
Oh, and Neil's gift came, so I can bring that over... wait... what? Turns out someone at Lulu (I checked my receipt and it was correct) transposed my address. On BOTH packages. Why did it take a month to get the one to me, but the other one came right away? They both had the same wrong address... One had a new label printed for "barcode quality" very odd.
Checked sites and videos.
Then messed with the Zaw. Even unranked, it was doing 200,000+ damage on foes. Nice. Very nice. Now granted this was against very, very low level enemies but nothing else was getting that high a damage so I think It'll only get better. A little hard to use because you have to double jump, hold a button, and then press another button, but you get the hang of it.

Wed:
Not much to talk about at work, I did look into some prox cards to see if we had a certain type.

They restocked the fridge, so maybe in a week or so I'll get some more stuff. It's not very full actually, so I'm not expecting much.

Went to after work job, another case of two routers next to each other. Why do people continue to do that? Stop doing it! Turned one of them off, made sure things could connect to the other. Set up his ATT cell booster, answered questions. No big deal.

Got home, had dinner, got ready for tomorrow.

Got the original newegg order. Yes, the one from 11/29 of last year. Just showed up.

What? Where was it between those two times? I mean that's a MONTH apart!

Then to make matters stranger, at 5:30 (ish) the doorbell rang. It was the "signature required" package, the replacement. So it too finally showed up. So instead of 3 SSDs and an m.2 drive I have 6 SSD and an m.2 drive. It just took a month. Crazy.

Did a bit of messing around with the Zaw, I think it's fine how it is, no need for further modification via forma.

Paid my tax bill and did some finance stuff for the new year.

Thurs:
A few exciting things for today. Christina broke a machine while rebooting it, now has a strange message about not being able to boot. We'll have to look into that tomorrow. We worked on figuring out if logging in while logged into onedrive was a problem. It wasn't. We had the two meetings, and I watered the plants. Took almost a dollars worth of cans out of the bins to put in cans for kids. shakes head

Figured I would look into getting the spoiled strike mod, see how hard it would be. I can get through the levels I'll find it on, though the chance of me getting it is pretty low. There are other nice mods I could use, so it's not a total waste.

Checked sites, had dinner. One call, something about her home page. I think she somehow lost her chrome settings? I don't know, I put some stuff back for her.

Got the mod I wanted! Only took a few tries, I'm surprised I got it that fast. So I modded the weapon and did some sanctuary onslaught until it was back up to full power. Nice. Now to impatiently wait until the event comes around again so I can get more of the "special sauce" and get the damage up 400%!!

Let's look ahead! Only 51 more weeks of 2023 to go! Wait...

Tomorrow I'll look into that machine booting, and something else I'm sure.
I think we're doing friday game again but nothing has really been said. I'll of course go to the bank and do the shopping, as well as visiting my parents.

Saturday is the new game, don't think we'll see Adam after all. So it's just the three of us. Already wrapped Neil's gift so that's ready to go.

Nothing big planned for Sunday, probably just stuff around the house.
