Fri:
Same old story today, but I did try to figure out the new software. I guess another group is doing most of the testing. Our requirements are... 2 things.
But I haven't been able to figure out what app to use, loading what I thought it was from our website didn't show the same screen. I've put in a request for more information about what that thing actually is, and haven't heard back. So right now I have two tests I can't run. They have to give me the updated client so at least at the time I can make any changes to the test cases I need to, but still it would be nice to see the current behavior.
Otherwise working on the book, I didn't get all the way through just partly.
Oh and I got the serial number back on my device. It has another error though? Sigh.

Got what few things I needed to make a holiday treat and some milk and saw my parents.
Came back, checked sites, got ready for tomorrow because it's an early start and then did game. We got... uh about a foot inside the town. Monsters everywhere. We beat up the three guys herding them into the place, and a few monsters to boot.

Ugh, it's going to be a long day tomorrow. Up at 7:00, going three places, at least no more calls have come in tonight.

Sat:
Up at 7:00! Got Tinker taken in no problem.
Only going to be $1000 for his dental work. That's going to happen two months from now, but they wanted half now. Sure, you can use my money for two months, that's not a problem. I wasn't going to use it. I'll just ask Xerox to give me my pay for that period I'm sure they'll give it to me right? No? So why do you get it?
Back here, figured out Discord on web in case I need it later. Just needed my login, no problems.
Checked sites.
Left for my 10:00. Which was fine, but the Mac didn't want to recognize my dual drive adapter. So I couldn't copy from both drives at once. Sigh. So did them one at a time. That went quickly enough but then of course she needed some information on using it.
Finally got back at 3:00. UGH. Five hours. Why...
Ate a quick lunch. Actually I was lucky to get lunch at all, if the original time of 4:30 had been in place I would have just left for Sean's right then. But our start time changed so I went home.
Left for Sean's.
Got a neat gift from Alyx, and gave them the one I got. Sorry, you don't get something hand made from me, it's difficult enough getting just Sean/Mizzy's gifts made I'm not adding another person into the mix. Just wish Neil's gift had come. What's it been doing the last two weeks?
Made characters and then did some board games. I handily lost several, so there!

Sun:
I guess I felt it coming, something on the breeze. Today it's slightly snowing, not 70 degrees.
Ha, turned into rain though, neat so now my driveway can be a sheet of ice when it freezes again. I got a lot of puddles in the back, maybe it's sinking or something? I suppose it could be fixed, but it would be pricy. Probably have to redo the whole thing!
Made christmas goodies. A ton of them, actually. Both for myself and my mother, as is tradition. Not that I need any goodies, but it's good stuff. Mostly butter and brown sugar.
Sites and videos.
Worked on the Eve game, got that all set for this year. With my usual style of course. Everyone's going to love it.
Did some gift wrapping.
Then Katawa Shoujo. Almost got through the Lily route.
But had to get ready for tomorrow, and then got invited to do Xbox. We did some Back 4 Blood, getting through the new stages so we can do even new stages. The in game jukebox plays christmas music, and there's a tree in the center of the fort. Good effort, devs!

Mon:
Pretty quiet at work still, no haul. No news on the software I need.
Need new shoes, these have been falling apart don't get me wrong, but the lace on the left one is starting to break. Guess that's a good a sign as any.
Finished book 4 and started book 5.
Went several times to look for some cards, the tracking number says they were delivered, but no luck finding them.
Walked down with Christina and Adnan to meet some dude. Our actual manager maybe? I don't know. Got my paperwork signed so I'm good for another year.
Bought shoes and some air filters.
Came home, checked sites. Ate dinner.
A little more Katawa Shoujo, I'm into act 4 so there isn't much more to go.
Made my one call, going over to deliver the backup drive, it's basically on the way home so it's no big deal.
Then Xbox as Sean is free until January. I got ready for tomorrow early as I knew this. More Back 4 blood, we got through half of the 6th chapter.

Tues:
Same kind of story today. I did get a haul, but only of chips. The case was restocked but the basket was empty. Did I miss it? I don't see the big bin either, where have they stuck it? It must be somewhere. Sigh. Lots of chips though, 26 small bags.

Nothing new came in. Finished book 5 and now I'm just reading over book 6 which is only half finished. I wonder if I'll finish it? Hard to say.

No cards, kept looking in Joe's cube. Nothing. Where were they delivered to? Still no Neil gift here either. And some drives I ordered haven't come in.

Dropped off the new drive. Win7 machine, ugh. And frontier gave her two wireless routers? Why? Are their technicians that stupid? Why give a customer that kind of interference? I removed one of them. Oh and their "fiber" service must come into the house and then be transmitted... using the internal phone lines? The crap? So you're going fiber to adapter, adapter to phone line, phone line to box, box to ethernet? Greenlight is just fiber to box, box to ethernet. How can a company so big be so bad at this?

Came back here, sites and dinner. No calls. Got ready for tomorrow.

No xbox tonight.

Wed:
Got the cards we were looking for. They were not in his cube, but rather out in the hall with the other mail. That's sort of like delivering it, I guess.
Naturally they didn't include anything we asked for, you know, like the intermediate certs or the passwords for the cards. Thanks. What do you expect us to do with them? When I send cards to people I have a nice little sticker I put on that has ALL information about them. ATR string, passwords, even expiration date. So you know stuff. These cards barely had the name of the card user. (One was spelled wrong, great job) I mean have a little pride, people. This wasn't even the bare minimum.

So other than trying that out, I finished the incomplete book 6 and wondered if I should keep going with it. I left them stranded in Heaven, and as far as I can tell I have no notes at all. Oh, I have the outline of the 8 books or so I wanted to write but no notes on what was supposed to happen next. Neat. I do that now, basically writing out what each chapter will be.

So it was pretty boring. I need to bring my DS again I guess.

Went to get cat food as I had a $10 off coupon, which almost paid for the mouse food I got. Neat.

Back here, checked sites, had dinner.

One call, someone with the "same problem" with the social security website but her actual problem was she didn't know her husband's password. Great.

Thurs:
Had the two usual meetings today. The onedrive one, where it was told to us one developer had covid so we would get less fixes than we might have otherwise on the 20th. He is putting more people on the project, which I guess he doesn't realize just makes it later, not earlier. Silly.
And the status meeting.

It was sort of yucky all day, but it was the second time I checked the outdoors that I saw the nasty stuff. It was pretty nasty out, 34 but snowing, so it's all just slush out there. Accident right by bay road exit so traffic was crawling up to that point. I should have gotten off at five mile and gone the other way. Oh well.

Otherwise no PIN for the cards and no new software.

Two calls, new Mac lady who didn't try right clicking on the pictures she deleted to see the "restore" command I guess, and something about a smart tv? I don't do TVs. Sorry.

Haven't called them yet.

Let's look ahead. Yucky weather, but we'll go into work tomorrow. Shopping, probably bank, then see my parents. No game, maybe I'll have dad over to watch the latest Dr Who? Depends on weather. Probably more wrapping Saturday, it's only a week until eve after all. Nothing much else planned.

An hour and twenty minutes later mac lady has recovered her photos, created albums, and exported the ones she wants to print out.

The TV guy just needed me to tell him to make sure his fire stick was plugged in. Try the obvious stuff first, okay people?
