Fri:
Very busy today too, with the surprise arrival of the latest versalink software. For one device anyway.
Testing that took most of the day. No major problems, wrote up some questions to ask and had a late meeting about it with Joe, Ted, and one other person. Also tried setting up stupid gabi. Remember her? The thing I was shouting at for 2 years? No luck, it's dead in more than one way. Emailed the guy, hopefully he can help me put it back together so this random person can see her precious demo of the stupid thing.
We'll have a meeting Monday for the follow up when I get some answers to everyone's questions. The other guy wants to see it work too, but that should be easy enough.
Did the shopping, it was nasty out.
Saw my parents, came back here.
Did game, Bianca is gone, though we tried to save her. Well, I did. After punching her a bit, of course. I mean she turned into a dragon what was I supposed to do? Not punch her? But this was always her destiny it seems. The end is near for the miracle girls.I'm finally happy with my skill ratings so it's a good time for it.
Did an hour of Tales of Arise. It hung? In a cut scene? Great. Not liking the controls, I can tell you that much. The game is fairly eh as well. Maybe it gets better. It's no FF7 Remake, I can tell you that much.

Sat:
Did some cleaning.
Looked at my taxes to get some numbers around for tomorrow.
Various record keepings like my power usage for the car for last month put in.
Then some Tales of Arise. It hung again. Great. Saving a lot more frequently now. Managed to change the controls, thanks for that. Who decided attack/dodge should be the shoulder buttons anyway? That's horrible. Changed it to be more FF7 with the dodge and attack being face buttons, you know, as they should be.
Did that for a bit.
Made a pie. Still have 4 bags of berries.
Checked sites, videos.
Then did some Tina's with the crew.

Sun:
A bit of cleaning, sites, nothing exciting as I waited to do my taxes.
Did the taxes! Took a loss on the business so that's exciting.
But got about a $5000 refund which is weird. Why isn't A+ taking out the right amount? I mean I realize the government likes to use my $5000 all year without paying me any interest on it but still. Hopefully we answered everything correctly, but hey we did it to the best of our ability. If the government wanted it done better they can do it, send me what they think, I make corrections and send it back. You know, like they do everywhere else in the civilized world.
Got home.
Had dinner. Got ready for tomorrow and did some Tina's with the others.

Mon:
Finished up getting the answers to the questions from the test last week.
I later had a meeting about it.
Talked to Christina about the test plan, she said it looked fine.
No Gabi until Wednesday, that's about right given what we went through before with this guy.
Worked with Gina to get her a screenshot for the new release.
And finished the next chapter.

Came back, ate dinner and checked sites.
I did get a call, three actually, but the third canceled the first. The second just took a few minutes on the phone. He was having printer issues, somehow made it worse by setting it up as a parallel printer, and the still couldn't print. I set it up as a wireless printer, which worked a lot better.
Reorganized my Tina's inventory and then did some Tales of Arise.
Only hung the thing once!

Tues:
Most excitement today was trying a scan test to scan a 50mb document. I picked way too many pages first and wasted ten minutes, it only took 10 pages at the highest quality settings. A cancel button sure would be nice, too bad we didn't spec one!

Otherwise some minor stuff, a little writing I didn't get a whole chapter done. I know, what a slacker.

Came back here, no calls. Did the usual sites and videos while eating dinner, got ready for tomorrow and some Tina's with the gang.
Then we did that thing.

Wed:
Not very busy today. We got the Gabi box up and running with a minimum of fuss, much to my surprise.
What was surprising, is that the lady who was all hot for some kind of demo (that she apparently can't just watch on youtube) last week is now saying next Tuesday will be fine. What? I have to keep this machine reserved almost a week meaning it's useless to anyone because you can't come down here for a five minute demo? (that you could watch on youtube) Really?

Gave Christina an SNMP command to reboot a versalink machine, that was pretty exciting actually. Crossed off that I set up gabi and finished the test for the release secure jobs because I wrote up the three bugs they wanted.

Did a little bit of writing, but at lunch I started re-reading my fan fiction of Control as I had just finished playing it and wanted to read that next. So I, uh, kept on reading it. Slacker, I know.

Left work, went to second work. Figured out how to take the guy's address off his site like he wanted. Wordpress is weird. You have a page that seems to list all your pages, right? So you would think editing those pages would be done by the edit button! Not so! I had to go to the website itself, and there was an edit button on the top of that page we had to use. Bizarre.

Got back here, no calls. Checked sites, ate dinner, sold stuff in Tina's and did some Tales.

Oh yeah, and the RAM was delivered, or was it? Said it was put in the mailbox- empty mailbox. Checked the neighboring boxes. No package. Was it stolen out of the mailbox? Odd. Maybe it'll show up tomorrow? I emailed the company to see if there's insurance or whatever against theft. Not cool.

Thurs:
Spent part of the day trying to get SHAC cards to work. I thought maybe I had ruined the one trying to get new certs on it some time ago but then realized no SHAC card worked on the machine I was using. Odd. I switched over to the much older D2.9 line and while it does give me the prompt for password (unlike D4.0 or whatever I was using that just said the card wasn't supported) it won't log me in. I can use another card type, or log in with my username and password, so the machine should be fine. I don't get it.

We also got the final release of the latest versalink so Christina and I started in on that.

Of course the two meetings today, and doing plants.

Came back here, one call, checked sites, ate dinner. Re-ordered the RAM that never came.

Did some grinding in Tales. Stupid grinding. Stupid boss that can clone themselves, teleport, dash, put up an invulnerable shield, and did I mention this is only the second boss of the game? What? Ugh, it's going to take 45 battles (at an average of 70 XP apiece) to raise to the next level. Neat.

Looked into some videos about it, maybe I'm just doing something wrong. I'm not using the "arts" because they seem limited but maybe they come back faster than I expect? I thought they were once per battle. Useless.

Anyway, tomorrow will be consumed with testing the versalink stuff. Then shopping, seeing my parents. No game, Sean is doing something else.

Saturday I made two appointments, and I'll probably have my parents over for a movie.

Nothing for Sunday yet.

Well, looks like we're doing Tina's tonight unexpectedly so I'll close it up there.
