2022-02-17:
Fri:
Worked on a mower! It was next in the list of Back 4 Blood objects I took
screenshots of last week.
Actually found the mower, it's part of of a graphics package that the Back 4
Blood people must have just bought. I was searching for the dimensions of it
to get a sense of how big to make the cube and spotted it. Weird.
Here
it is.
Interestingly you can see the importance of texturing to a model. Here's the
official model without the textures
And it turns into this with the texturing
Comparing pre and post texture mine doesn't actually look that bad! I didn't
realize the lights were that shape until just now, the angle I had them at
made them seem like solid glass, but they're actually concave. Oh well.
Work wise got the D7.6 machine working again, Christina killed it. There's a
special file you need to have on the USB drive to make it work right so I
figured that all out.
Otherwise not much else exciting.
Tractor Supply was out of cat food. As was Aldi for like the second or third
week a row. I still have plenty but I am about to open the last set of boxes
I got. Am I going to have to go down there every week now? I guess I could
just go to Pet Smart.
Went to the bank. Again with the people I've never seen before. What the
heck?
Then my parents, got my hair cut.
Came back, did game. Went fine, we talked philosophy with a "bad guy" and
moved to the next encounter. Something about our classmates spacing out and
being unresponsive so we need to check it out.
Sat:
Made brownies for the game tonight.
Worked on the stupid printer that got dropped off. Can't save it. I cleaned
out all the ink that seemed to be sloshed around on the inside, then tried a
test copy. Ran the cleaning routine several times, no help there. And it was
all messy inside again. Leak? He wants it back for some bizarre reason, and
is still concerned with the ink "freezing" out on the breezeway so I can't
just leave it back there. It seems to be from the Vista era so it really
needs to just be recycled. And don't get an inkjet the next time, okay?
Cleaned up.
Watched more SHIELD.
Went to game. Went okay. No combats, just following clues and discussing
things. Hopefully I got enough notes to write it up. Eh, I can just make it
up if not.
Left after that, Mizzy was going to bed.
Sun:
Big snow, it was really coming down all night.
Paperwork from last month, less than 10 jobs done so why did it seem like I
was always running around and talking to people on the phone?
Decided against pie, with the leftover brownies and other treats from my
mother, I won't need any pie on top of that. So I'll make then when
everything else is eaten up.
Having finished SHIELD I started Supernatural.
Did the driveway, put the new belt on which worked great. We got a good
couple of inches out there, which was all nice and fluffy at the moment. So
it didn't take too long to do. Sun was in and out after that, which was
nice.
More Supernatural.
Sunday stuff in general.
Then getting ready for tomorrow and watching the Big Game. You have to watch
the Big Game!
Lots of injuries, at least I thought so. But the one team pulled it off in
the end and won.
Mon:
No 3D today, worked on the next chapters. There was a lot of talking and
making decisions so I didn't even finish.
Nothing new came in, work wise. so nothing exciting there.
No calls when I got home, either. I do have to wonder what happened to
dentist guy, did he ever get his iPhone/Apple account straight? Believe me,
if I never know that's fine too.
No more snow in the afternoon, so didn't have to do the driveway. Guy came
for the printer. Toss it.
Ate dinner, checked sites, more Supernatural. Ordered a PC for the lady from
yesterday.
Tues:
Worked on finishing the chapter, it took two whole chapters to get through
what we did that night. But that's done for another week, as it'll be the
26th when we meet again.
Then worked on the next 3D model, a garbage can. Again, doesn't seem that
complex but it actually is.
Then came home. A light snow was falling while it was sunny. Neat.
Checked sites, ate dinner. No calls again thank you whatever force in the
universe is making that happen.
Wed:
But it didn't hold, as there was a call today. A guy setting up a printer
and doesn't know what a telephone cord is. So I get to drive 25 minutes over
there. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
Nothing new came in today so I worked on the phone.
Took me all day, don't know how video games can have thousands of assets. I
mean sure, there's a whole team of people that's why the credits are so
long. I guess that helps.
Warm(ish) out today, snow is almost all melted off the roof.
Came back here, finished Season 14 of Supernatural, started 15. Ate dinner,
checked sites. Did the one call. That's tomorrow.
Not much else exciting today.
Thurs:
Rained all day today.
Worked on two things today because they were quite simple.
Look at that chair. Look at it! I would sit on that chair for sure.
Also worked on characters for the next book should I decide to write it,
just to make characters with the "shonen" system.
Otherwise attended the meetings, watered the plants.
Went to printer guy, plugged his printer in and straightened his machine out
a bit. He switched the mouse button functions, and tried to make the text
bigger in a dumb way which I corrected. No troubles there.
Came back here, no calls, checked sites and watched videos.
Then more Supernatural.
And now comes the forward looking part. Probably nothing new in at work
tomorrow, so I'll finish up those characters and maybe some plot?
Shopping, no bank, maybe check the tractor supply store for cat food?
Shopping for sure. Seeing my parents. No miracle game, Jon is training
people at his job and won't be back until 9:00. We may do a movie or talk
about the new system if I have questions. I don't know if I'm doing the job
the lady called me about last week, I'll have to see. But I am going back to
the lady and show her how to do an attachment and such on Sunday. Hopefully
won't be too bad.
Other than that, hopefully finish Supernatural once and for all, and try to
stay warm.
So I'll see you back here next time, the second month is almost over.
