Fri:

Still nothing really real to do. Did look over the specs and then had a bagel.

Put the hours into Lysanias' skills, but didn't get to actually writing anything. I made some changes to the code, those new boxes I put in the one screen were not getting cleared as they should, so I fixed that up instead.

Then poked at the tablet more. Wrote one bug though, so that's something. Just a minor translation thing.

No restaurant because Neil got here late, so I went to Moe's and then on to Sean's. He wasn't feeling well.

We did get through part of the plot, sort of. Mizzy was off talking to people because of course they’re just going to say “you got me, I did it!” when asked. It’s just the polite thing to do. We made it to the dungeon and saw a person being attacked. Sean was feeling worse so we called it.

Sat:

Actually accomplished more today than I had expected to. Maybe it was getting up at a reasonable time? I started with more cleaning of the project room. There’s still a lot of work to do up there. How can one room have so much crap in it?

Called york, they don't know the email password- told them to call frontier, as they don’t have a nice password reset like Spectrum does. They didn’t call me back so they must have worked it out.

The glue job I had done didn’t really take. Trying it again.

Ellen got back to me- wants tomorrow late. Sigh.

Sean is feeling better, so going over there.

Got the battery, put that in. Had to put the trackpad in as well, it was busted. It would only click 1 of 10 times or so. Not acceptable. Yay, I don’t have a trackpad hanging around I’ll never do anything with.

Painted my copy of the gift a little, just to see how it would look.

Not many berries to pick, just some of the ground type.

Read comics, watched a few things, and went to Sean's. No Stan but we played some stuff. Neil was there. Hi Neil!

Sun:

Worked on the gift, at least the glue held this time.

Then more cleaning up of the upstairs. I have the Apple IIgs downstairs to the museum table and the airbrush up there. Still a ton of stuff to clean out of there, like do I really need the box for my blender? I don't think so. I’ll start breaking them down, and moving some of the old computers either to under the pool table or in a pile to be taken to the next electronics event.

Ate lunch.

Checked sites.

Worked on the pac-man, haven't cut the fabric yet, just traced out the pattern so I can measure the total length I need. I need more white to be able to tell. Well, okay I can estimate it without but I would rather have the real thing.

No more berries, sad face.

Went to see Ellen, put her battery in. She wants pictures taken of her ivory, along with the signature on the bottom which is tiny. So I would be going back and forth between lenses which would vastly slow the effort down. Maybe just use my phone and zoom it? Seems like it wouldn’t look all that good. I don’t know.

Read comics.

Worked on the IV game. Had an idea for another plot hook, wrote it up.

Mon:

Accomplished nothing today. Had the meeting in the morning as usual. Bob wants the android 4.4 stuff, which has already gone to Staples, tested, so I tried getting the apps on the tablet. Someone pulled the ribbon cable out of the card reader and I spent like an hour trying to get it back in. It’s not removable and it’s impossible to really see or work with. But then when I had a working reader attached the apps won’t install. Emailed the guy who made them.

Then reloaded my machine twice. The first time the bug I was looking for didn’t manifest. What? It must be the actions of an enemy Stand! But then the second time it did, so I got the log. Whew. That was my big contribution to the day.

Dropped off some batteries at Staples, along with another laptop. The apple one, one from a lady earlier, and Ellen’s. I have a pair from my UPS but they weren’t in the car. Ah well, there’s always tomorrow. (for dreams to come true)

Went home. Did another hour or so of cleaning the room. More boxes broken down, more treasures uncovered. A box of cassette tapes and more CDs than you can shake a stick at.

Checked my sites, read comics, made an appointment a half hour away for a crappy "new" printer that's not working. Yay.

Tues:

Actually wrote a few bugs today. 

Got the old software installed on the old tablet, I had to remove the currently installed version first, go figure. It wouldn't just overwrite them. Anyway, looked into that, then the same thing in the newer software. We check for updates a lot. like, way more than we should. I wrote up some stuff around that.

Otherwise I didn't work on a set of directions for the dwarf game, but worked, worked, worked looking for bugs. Actually found a bug in scan to email I had never seen before. Weird. Wrote that up too.

Go me.

Then I went and drove for two hours to do nothing. Yeah, that's right, printer lady? Her problem? Nothing at all. Copied fine. Printed fine. No issues. Thanks a bunch lady. Of course getting home was the problem because of the 104 exit being closed, it took me 40 minutes to get from the 104/590 spit to my house. It usually takes about 4 minutes. Great job guys, what exactly are you doing over there?

Finally home I ate dinner, checked sites, and did another hour of cleaning. One more box (it was a big one) bites the dust, and I've got another stack of cardboard to go out.

Slowly getting there. Very slowly.

Wed:

Had the thursday meeting today because the boss is going to be out. It's a lull for everybody, nothing is getting done.

Got some screenshots for a guy writing up some directions for Staples. Got stuck at one point, couldn't take any more. Hopefully it finishes generating overnight and I can finish that up?

Looked at the log for last night too, it was huge! Apparently it wanted to check the memory eight thousand times or whatever. *shakes head*

Nothing else much exciting I guess. 

Chris left early, no one was in the other side of the lab, was there a memo I missed about going home early? I went and worked on the next chapter, then Gina came in and wanted to know what I thought about the requirements for accented characters. I said no new spec tags were needed. We say no control characters, that implies *all other characters are peachy keen*. But no, we have to explicitly say it…

Whatever.

Came back, you know the drill. Sorting beads by color into their respective jars, dinner, sites, and more cleaning. It's looking so empty up there, I moved the boxes into another location that's like a little closet with no door, it wasn't being used so no loss there. Not much more to go, actually. It's looking so empty up there.

Helped a lady work out she was using 109% of her available google space in email alone. Sheesh. That took about an hour. 

Then it's time to get ready for bed. 

Thurs:

Much of the day was doing timing tests, a thrill and a half as you can imagine. It's just sitting there, waiting for a timer. Other things of note include writing one Portal bug, finishing the screenshot task for Jim, getting up to the fight in the book, reprinting the orb sheet because I made a change to it, having the normal thursday meeting, putting some clips together for Giuseppe on the mac using iMovie… Actually fairly busy today I guess.

Did the shopping just in case Sean wants to meet early tomorrow.

Then went home. Did another hour of cleaning, started on the other room actually, brought the Macs that were up there to the basement museum area. I need more Macs.

The room is fairly empty now, but there are still things that must be decided. I shoved the table into the corner and put the airbrush stuff into it. I think that room has the most outlets of any room in the house. It's so weird. They aren't grounded though, pouty face.

One call, a very rude lady "well I don't think I should have to pay another $50 because you were just here." Yeah, and I set things up like you wanted. If you're too stupid to double click the icon for outlook, I can't help you much, now can I? But I didn't reach her.

Sites and videos as normal.

Got ready for tomorrow. As last week I emptied part of the car to shove everything in. 

Hummingbird on the front bush! I see them occasionally, but never before this year. Where did you come from little one?

Rained really hard a few times today.

Looking towards the future no parents tomorrow so I'll just drop another ton of stuff off. Then head to Sean's or home and then out there depending on when he says. He hasn't gotten back to me about it.

Saturday maybe finish cleaning, have my parents over, my mother never answered my email about the pac-man so it must have gone into her spam, so I'll have her look at it if I have them over saturday night. I'll find stuff to do, don't you worry.

August going well for you? I see a jolly fat man on the horizon, I hope you've been good so far, but there's still time to change your ways if you haven't.
