Fri:
Writing this Saturday so it might not be completely correct.

More work on the script. Got the SNMP3 stuff just about done, honestly you just change the beginning part, really. It should just work.

Then did tablets, the Staples tablets that come back. 26 of them which wasn't so bad. John has a good system in place.

Then a whirlwind of activity after work, the usual, getting cat food and litter. They had 2/$10 so I got 4 not the 2 I originally wanted. Saw more chicks/ducks. So tiny and cute!

Saw my parents, their garage sale they said was going well.

Then over to Alyssa's, played a few games. I was playing my Red Dragon inn character wrong, whoops. I didn't mean to cheat, honest. It was all Sean's fault.

Got home fairly late and went to bed.

Sat:
Didn't have much time before my 10:30, but I did a few things around here.
Went out to Victor, took care of some very minor stuff for someone. Then drove back here. Worthwhile.

Started the labor day activities. Somewhat warm out. Cleaned the deck and driveway off, got all the weeds out of it. Waiting until tomorrow morning or tonight to fill the cracks in. That raw sun is just too intense even for me.

Took an entire tree out of the tree that sits next to the window by the driveway. No fooling. It was some woody vine thing that had totally wrapped around the other tree. Took me some time to get that cleared out let me tell you. I kept finding more!

Cleaned the house, got some christmas shopping done. Took care of a bunch of things online and off.
Estimated tax in.
Customer stuff.
Looked over a PC that was dropped off, it's fine so please stop bringing it here, this is the second time it's been totally fine.
Ordered a new PC to refurb and the drive for it.
etc.

Chillmouse ran in his wheel a little! You go, Chillmouse. They're seeming a little more perky.

Put the stuff into the cracks in the driveway.

Sun:
More work. Cleaned the house up, though my parents know I'm a total slob most of the time anyway, right? I think that's the case. Vacuumed the rug, washed the floor, put things away.

Did more proofreading.

A tiny bit of rain, but I don't think the crack stuff was harmed. It might increase drying time but the sun came out so that should be fine.

Mon:
The big day, doing all the usual big things.

Trimming.
Seal the driveway.
Seal the deck.
Get tons of scratches despite wearing jacket moving berry bushes.
Transplant two trees.
Wash the rug.
Eat yummy lunch including pie, which came out okay!

After that I unloaded sticks at my sister's house because they were my sticks after all.

Rested. More reading, proof reading, and the like. Got ready for tomorrow.

Tues:
Ran the script one last time making the changes Chris suggested Friday. It worked great.
So then what?

I did help a little with tablets. Tried to download the release of software I need to test. It took all day, and when I went to help with the tablets I forget it had 50 minutes to go and put my machine to sleep. This, of course, interrupted it and I had to start all over.

I decided I would use the lab machine! So I logged into it.

It immediately died and wouldn't turn back on. WTF?
So it's dead.

I left my laptop locked to the desk downloading the file again. Sigh. Hopefully I'll have it tomorrow to start testing with.

Otherwise, not much else exciting.

Came back here, forgot to call about the tires. Tomorrow.
Sites, youtube, got to page 307 in Pyre, made calls. 1/2 hour on the phone to get two devices on her wireless using a password it turned out she already knew.

Wed:
Would it surprise you to learn- no work? The build is busted in one way or another.
The machine had finished the download overnight but trying to load it led to either a system fault or "missing file." I tried it on two different devices hoping one would actually work. Nope.

The highlight of the day was thus helping John with tablets again. And seeing the new water bottle filler that's above the water fountain?

So not sure when we'll get a working build, very boring day otherwise.

Went to plug in a fax machine. Did so. Figured out their weird phone system. I was trying to get it so both phones could use line one and two, but apparently one can use 1+2 but the other can only use line 1. Sure, that's logical.

Oh, and I stopped at home to call about the tires. Oddly, they do inspections there as well. "Why not just get that done at the same time and save going to the dealer?" I asked myself.
"Why not do that?" I answered myself.

Coming back here again I had dinner, the usual sites, got up to 365 so there's only about 100 pages left to go over. Sheesh.

Rained quite hard for a little while today, then cleared off again. Super hot (i.e. nice)

Thurs:
My dreams have become reality. A little late perhaps but I'll get into that.

Was checking all day for the new software to be posted, and finally it was. Yay. Loaded it on several machines but the one I actually was worried about, the 405, gave me the same trouble as it did before. I threw the various resets at it and one stuck! It asked to do the setup again and so I did, which finally brought it up. Neat. So I took over the two we have in the lab so we can each have one. See, they put some fixes in the code but only in one model? I guess? And they called it .1 rather than .0 as with the others. Weird? Whatever.

Because they're doing two different "branches" at the same time and this one was supposed to come early but we're getting the "main" branch seemingly tomorrow or Monday so we'll have to switch over to that and… yeah, Xerox.

And the last build of the new card acceptance code should come tomorrow as well, so I'll need to do a check on that at some point as well. Can't you guys, I don't know, space this out a little bit more so I'm not totally board for like two weeks and then have EVERYTHING TO DO AT FREAKING ONCE? Could you, I don't know, do that? Because that would be great.

Had meetings, and that was basically the day.

Came back here, sites, more proofreading. Assured one person that yes, support for XP and Vista was dropped from Firefox a LONG time ago, there's nothing new to worry about.

Tomorrow I go to the Orthodontist for a quick check, 8:00. It's the halfway point at last. Only three more months to go before I switch to nights only. It can't come fast enough. Wait it'll be snowing. It can take all the time it wants.

Then work. I'll stay late because we're having another farewell lunch for Rakesh, his third one I believe? So I'll have to make that up. No parents, otherwise I would have stayed late today. Then shopping, and back here.

The weekend is shaping to be, uh, 8:00 tires, then ??? Don't know how long it'll take. No jobs yet. No Sean yet either.

I'll cut the back yard, at some point. Do my paperwork, finally finish up the pyre read though. Sounds pretty exciting. Maybe finally get back to the book, get that combat written?

More proofreading and I'll watch another Dark Mirror episode, then go to bed.
