Fri:
Lots of new bugs written today. Mostly by me. 14/20 to be exact in the last 24 hours. I was testing a service I hadn't before, because my "coworkers" had "tested" it. They passed some stuff I wrote bugs up for. Bakas.

Normal after work stuff, went to the bank and to do the shopping. Saw two deer and hummingbirds at my parent's house.

Back here I made my phone call, so I have 3:00 tomorrow and at 7:00 I'll be at Sean's. Checked my sites, played more FF3, exploited Mog and his moogle charm. Thanks Mog!

Seems like Mizzy's gift passed muster, it's on the way to the big machine for printing. Nice.

Sat:
Mostly just playing FF6. Got to the end, about to enter the final dungeon. Even uncursed the cursed shield, and I have several good swords. Not sure I'll slog through the end though.

Got the display for Sean's gift. I think I can improve it.

Did not go to Sean's, he canceled at the last minute. Sigh.

Have a whole list of stuff to do tomorrow.

Sun:
Which I did, after making your favorite pancakes. Too bad you weren't there to eat them.

Woke up to find my heat was on. Nothing says "hey sucker summer is over did you blink because you missed it" like your heat being on the first week of September. (Ok, week and a few days, you get the point)

Got the list started.

Got a lot of stuff done. Did the paperwork from last month. Did some changes to Ellen's site. Made the last piece of Sean's gift, it'll improve what I ordered because on looking at it, what I thought would be okay could be better. Put the storm windows in, and mowed the back lawn.

Whew.

And played some video games.

No calls all weekend. I must have done something good, am I being rewarded?

Mon:
No calls today either, but someone did email me. Eh, if you can't be bothered to call, I'm not rushing out there.

But that's getting ahead of myself.

Finished up print from USB at work, wrote up a bunch of stuff. Like 8 of the 10 bugs today? And Giuseppe just cloned two of mine for his service, so nothing new there. Great to have you back on the team- no wait what's the opposite of that? The new guy did none. Glad to have you here too!

Dropped off three nasty laptops on the way home, (to staples to be recycled) and was finally early enough home to call about getting the car inspected. Usually it's "you can come next week" but they offered me 8:30 tomorrow. Figured I'd take it.

Worked on plot for Korra, I was out of it, and things are diverging there so I basically have to rewrite the second half of the story. I skipped through the episodes, making notes. We'll see what I can come up with.

No calls, so I'll stay late at work tomorrow because I'll arrive late. Not sure what I'll do all day, with only three services and the others "testing" them I guess it's back to just poking it with a stick. My favorite.

Tues:
Went in to have the car inspected, and got right out again an hour later. Nice.

Went to work, there was some sort of new build to load that had print from email service, so I had something to do. Loading it, and then starting the test. Worked on that most of the day.

At the very end my manager mailed and apparently I had yet to do the security thing for this year? Usually there's an email about it, that's odd. Well, I went and did that the last hour, and left at 5:30.

Back here I had two calls, but ate dinner, checked my sites, and got ready for tomorrow.

Reached both of them, one person complaining their machine is slow. No, you think? It's an XP machine that doesn't even have a GB of RAM. Come on, what exactly do you expect me to do?

The other "has a virus" so I'm going over there tomorrow.

"Won" the game I was playing. Back to writing, I promise.

Wed:
Spent an hour this morning trying to get the thinprint stuff to work over IPP so we could test it with Ysoft. Whoops, my license expired yesterday so that must by why it isn't working. But then why does it print a test page from the server directly?

Anyway, it still didn't work. We're supposed to paste the full URL into some field but it only accepts 32 characters. Sigh.

Back to the tablet stuff, wrote up a few things, finished up the email service. Verified some bugs are fixed, started the alerts tests. Came to the realization that I really couldn't test any of them. A crucial button is missing, and there's no real timeout when the alert screen is up. Whoops.

Went over to the trailer park, cleaned up the guy's machine. Why do you have Avast? It's stupid. Oh, and it was causing apps to not launch, and gave an error. Great. Looked it up, some said AVG caused it, some Comodo. Odd. I took off Avast just in case and it started working again. Super.

Back here, the usual, ate dinner, checked my sites. Wrote up plot notes for the end of "book 1" Korra. Now to actually start writing it.

Sean says Neil will be around this Saturday, so I'll get to see him for the first time in, like, years.

No calls but one lady concerned about the Equafax breech. Another person emailing me, wants saturday, I'll call her tomorrow.

Thurs:
Scraping the bottom of the barrel again, there's just not much to test in the new release because there's so little of it. What I did test was mostly blocked by certain buttons being missing or timers not working. But I did what I could, when I could, because I could.

Had a fantastic idea for the end of book 1, Korra. She's not getting her original bending abilities back like she "magically" did in the end of the series. Heheheh.

Came back here, ate dinner, the usual. One call, and I called the vet. 6:00 on the 23th of october, then about that time in November for cat #3. It's one a month, good thing I don't have like, seven cats or anything. Hmm, the orthodontist appointment is at 4:00 that same day. I thought and thought but my original blog entry said it went quickly the last scan they had to do. It was at 3:00 and I got to my 5:00 appointment that day "an hour early." Meaning it only took like 20 minutes because it's 40 minutes away. So I figure I can make it to both places. (I hope)

Booked two for tomorrow. Book guy again, yay, and a standard cleanout.

Got back to writing, did most of chapter 14. Korra was asleep the whole time. HA!

So plans for the next few days- Usual for tomorrow, don't know about work it'll be just poking it I think as most of what we can do we have done. Shopping, parents, as usual. Saturday the two jobs and Sean. Sunday maybe more writing? Going to be nice, maybe getting rid of the sticks? Who can say.

We're half way through September already people, the turkeys are starting to look a little worried. Thought about your costumes yet? It'll be soon!
