Fri:
More of the same at work, which is to say nothing exciting. Most everyone is gone anyway. Oh well, looking forward to having something to do Wednesday.

Went to the bank, then to see my parents and talk about updating my mother's OS. Decided not to go forward at this time.

Then did the shopping and watched Dr Who with my father. Almost got to the current episode.

Sat:
As expected, the 9:00 job was super easy. I plugged in the speaker. Oh, and the printer went right on, so that was pointless.

My 11:00 was also fairly easy. Spent as much time driving there (30 minutes) as I did just putting his machine back together.

Back here, ate lunch. Went out again to get the iMac the guy said he was keeping, but then changed his mind and said he had told me he wasn't? Dude, I would have taken it then, saved myself the trip. Whatever. Watched more Lost Girl and then took the sub order before my first D&D game at Sean's. Very strange system. Our first encounter was with a bunch of statues none of our weapons could hurt. I was trying to disarm them, as they were using halberds, you know, a ax on a long stick. I got knocked down from 64 HP to 20 HP while doing 5 whole damage to their stick. So I left. We all did, but Mizzy got up the stairs away from them and explored the rest of the house. Which was good, because without the holy weapons she found in one of the rooms, we wouldn't have been able to damage the final demon.

Funny story, it had 1 HP left so basically punching it (with a really good damage roll) would have finished it. But I rolled a 1 on my attack which means the possibility of something bad happening. I rolled again to see how bad it was. I got a 2. That's pretty bad. So the demon grabbed the sword in its teeth and smashed it. Like I said, funny story.

Got home very late, like at 3:00 AM. Or is that early? Anyway, good idea now why the creation of the Paragon system was necessary.

Sun:
Finished Lost Girl, watched the Dr Who that came out yesterday. Cut the front lawn.

Picked berries. Got a lot, though once again the bushes right behind the driveway are almost devoid of fruits. Some in the very back, a few on the side. Most I got from the front area by the neighbor's fence.

Several calls, but they'll all have to wait. A tree came down at my parent's house so I'm going over there tomorrow to help.

Getting ready for bed early and going to bed early. Only five hours sleep will do that.

Mon:
Went over to my parent's house to help clean up a tree that had split and fallen. Good thing it hadn't gone the other way! It only took the morning, I figured it might take longer. But we were just dragging the large branches to the back, rather than cutting them up super fine.

Then went to buy the stuff for the Mac salad. Stopped at Staples and got rid of the printer I've had hanging around for like a year and a half on the breezeway. The stopped into Kmart. They've still got a lot of stuff. Found Miraculous Ladybug figures!!! Both Ladybug and Cat Noir. Didn't even know they existed!

Came back here and found a place for them, put my new pony plush in place along with pinky pie "Filly Second" they found in Penn.

Started setting up the Mac I got on the weekend. They seem to go for about $300 on ebay so I'll give him that for it and replace my downstairs mac mini with it.

Played some arcade games, but couldn't play the one I wanted. Sigh. Need to find newer ROMs but didn't get any working torrents of tons of them. You think that would be a thing.

Got some calls today. Didn't really need any, thanks!

The soap dispenser I got at Kmart doesn't work. How can a simple pump not work? And I can't return it. Grrrrr.

Made salad. Talked to a lady for over an hour trying to reload her stupid embroidery software. Honestly, I hate those programs. Dongles? Really? Limited number of installs? Honestly? This one would neither uninstall nor install, giving an error message about some dll file in a temp folder. I finally gave up. Really, it's not my job to get someone's software running. Call the company. They charge you enough for it.

Tues:
Happy 4th, the only person who is free is they who have nothing.

Puttered about the house, cleaning a bit. Finalized the move of the iMac into where the MacMini used to live.

Got the Vista machine finished and the anti-virus installed. Just had to turn windows update off so .Net would install. Fantastic design, MS. Oh, don't get me wrong, windows update is still doing nothing. I just wanted the files moved into place.

Picked more berries, have almost a full container already. Pie time!

Then I just sat and read for a bit. Haven't done that in ages. I still have this pile of books from Christmas to get though. Sheesh. Been writing too much I guess.

Left for Sean's, had to get gas first. Whoops, forgot about that. Not a problem. Mainly hung out and finished up the Pyre game fairly late. Probably won't do that one again as half the party is buying a house and preparing for a new baby. Oh, also burned a lot of wood.

There was a pretty bad accident on the way home, car tipped over on its side. That meant I got home a half hour after I wanted to.

Wed:
Guess who didn't get the software he was promised today? That's right, this guy!

Made a new character in case we do a different Pyre game, waited for software, wrote some notes about future chapters, and tried to not nap.

After work job was just down the street. One of those stupid "laptop MBs in a desktop case." Didn't really find anything wrong, so her hanging is probably hardware related and I can't do anything about it. Sigh.

Back here checked my sites. No calls? Huh.

Finished "Eldest." Not great. Oh, you were injured in combat? Don't bother overcoming it yourself, just let magic done on you that nobody expected take care of it. Oh, and you're an elf now? Which somehow trumps whatever work you had done to better yourself because of course an elf is better than a human. Sure, that all makes sense.

Thurs:
Guess who did NOT get new software to test today? Wait, have I done that bit already? Well, it's true. So there.

Instead I did a typing practice exercise. It was about 3300 words. Combat, ugh. And of course Lysanias passed out again because his leg got totally torn off. I mean, yay!

After work job seemed fine, but closer inspection showed the hard drive had a bunch of bad sectors. Ran the diagnostic tool. Whoops, failed SMART. Hey, MS, here's a question for you. If there's a built in tool that's part of every HD that tells when it is failing, and you don't tell the end user "something is wrong" then what is the point of having the built in tool? Anyone? Anyone? I didn't think so.

Picked more berries, now have a container and a bit of them. Pie can be made.

A few calls, I have a couple of jobs for Sunday, which is my all time favorite thing. In the world.

Got the laptop reloaded, she didn't have much and windows 10 does install quickly on an SSD, you have to give it that.

So next day plans- tomorrow hope to get software and test something. Finally. Then bank, shopping, and seeing my parents. Maybe finish the Dr Who we have? We'll see.

Saturday a bunch of jobs in the morning, then Sean's in the afternoon. Probably doing my game. I had everything ready weeks ago so that should be fine. Hopefully they like the <spoiler.>

Then sunday even more work. I'm so lucky. So. So. Lucky.
