2017-03-24:
Fri:
Work was boring, moving on.
Did get pie though. Brought some home, anyway, stupid trays.
Put in my new trays today, so snug!
Did the shopping, it was slightly above freezing so more snow was melted.
Saw the whole family, thanks for the gifts everyone. Not playing Fallout 4 anytime soon. Oh, not because I want to finish the Susan's Chronicles, which I do. Because it's busy downloading 25GB worth of stuff 2mb/sec at a time. It says it'll be done in two days. Sheesh. Why not just put it on one blue ray disk?
Got back at 8:00, put stuff away, 4 calls ugh, one was the orthodontist making sure things were fine. Rob from yesterday no OS X CD so he can't reset his password so I'm going to have to go out there and do it for him. (Didn't reach him) One new one tomorrow morning and one other, I was going to look but then forgot and it's not important enough to go downstairs and see now.
Seems we're on for tomorrow, so it's going to be a pretty busy day. At least it isn't supposed to be too bad out.
Managed to finish Chapter 269.
Sat:
Didn't go exactly to plan, but what does?
First one was quite easy. She wanted a bluetooth speaker set up with her PC. Problem: no bluetooth on the laptop. HAHA. Sorry! Answered a few other questions and that was that.
Turns out the XP machine was Vista, RR had told her all sorts of wrong settings for her email so I straightened that out. Took out MSE so it would stop complaining at her and tried to put in Panda. It needed .net??? for some reason it it tried to install it. I left (and spoiler, it tried all night. I called them Sunday and canceled it, put it in manually, and then installed panda to finish the job)
Then over to near Sean. Took a look at his wireless and other minor stuff. Got his cables plugged it correctly. He had the phone router box, but the ethernet ports were dead on it? But the wireless still worked so, huh? Managed to connect to it, luckily the passwords were written on the bottom, turned it off so his "real" one didn't have as much interference.
Just as I was finishing up Sean texted that Sean wasn't coming, did I want to run my game instead? I said we could give it a shot and went over there. Stan came about an hour later and it went pretty well. I had prepared some time ago and we got through the next three days so I set up all their adventures in school.
And that was that.
Sun:
Finished watching all 50 Fallout 4 mod videos and got a huge list of 60+ mods to load into my game. Loaded them and played about an hour. Couple of phone calls. Sold the laptop to someone, going there tomorrow after taking care of the mac password issue which should be quick. Next lady was having trouble printing so an hour later we got the router reset, and THAT fixed it? It wasn't the printer or PC at all? Buh? She also wants a new laptop, so that figures. You don't sell it for weeks and then one day you could sell it twice?
Then the same thing with another customer, a printer issue. (I'm not tech support here, you know. Okay I am I guess) Her problem was different, the IP address changed. That only took a half hour, so it was 9:30 when I was finally done with calls. Got ready for tomorrow. I guess that was to balance the slacking off I did watching the videos?
Mon:
Back to work, but not much exciting to tell. Poked around, made sure things were working in the newest of the new versions. Thought about a better solution for the battle runner list. All sort of stuff like that.
Went out and reset the password for the Mac guy. Remade his keychain, and reset his RR password which despite him writing down at some point after he reset it, didn't work.
Then delivered the laptop and moved her stuff over. Not much stuff, so that went fine.
Back here I ate dinner, checked my sites, and started the next chapter.
No calls, oddly enough, so nothing for tomorrow as of yet.
Tues:
Had the last official AT&T meeting today. Not much else exciting. Just more poking around the printer, seeing if there's anything I notice that might be astray.
Worked on the battle runner a bit, made some changes so that's done (I think) and made a few more notes about the next story.
Came back here, it was actually sunny outside but there's still snow around. Checked my sites, got my tax stuff ready so we can do that this Friday. Finished Chapter 270, and the next one is the battle with Sangray, who has everybody's powers! Or at least some of them at a time. Now we'll see if they're really as dangerous a force as Sean always made them out to be. Of course, he'll have stuff they have, but can't use, so it's not really a fair fight.
Of course there's five of them and only one of him, but he has souls… anyway.
Played a little Fallout after that, was really just trying a few things. Found a dog!
Tomorrow I have a printer reserved so I'll more seriously look that one over, but that's about it for today.
Oh, two calls, made an appointment for Thursday, but not tomorrow. Sigh.
Wed:
Did the final machine today, and it's looking good for the release at the end of the week. Go us. Tomorrow I'll go back to the newer machine, see if anything has changed there. Maybe they'll give me another project too? Nothing's been mentioned, I just figure as my load has been halved, they might find something else. Who knows.
Came back here, ate dinner, checked my sites. Figured out what powers Sangray is going to steal and what souls he'll have. Then went to go play Fallout.
I did get my cocoa. Not the exact thing I ordered, which was vend whip. This is whipper mix. The ingredients are slightly different, but perhaps in my favor as chocolate is listed higher up? Odd, but either way I'm ready for the great chocolate shortage of 2017. Which everyone knows is a thing. Anyone wants a cuppa, let me know I've got plenty to spare. (Just joking, it's mine, all mine I tell you. MINE MINE!!!!)

Thus:
Back into the newer product today. Even wrote a couple of regression bugs, not that much about the situation changed. Only one new thing was added, the code that erases the machine when you put it in. Otherwise no working cloning, no network log. Ah well. Got through most of the testing I can do, so not really sure what tomorrow will bring.
Went to my after work job. He had (in September??) done the "refresh" of Win10 and wiped everything out. Nice job. So I put a few things back to make the machine usable. You know, like email or something. We finally worked out his email password, and I tried installing the printer again. It gave me an error (thanks HP installer, love ya!) rolled the changes back, insisted on rebooting (why? You haven't finished) and then the machine started hanging when it booted. Such joy.
Got it into safe mode, ran Mbam, ccleaner, poked around. It hung again the next time but I just let it sit and it finally worked itself out. Stupid thing.
To do the printer I just let it find the driver out of the folder. Stupid HP drivers, we hate them yes we do.
Back here after 6:00, ate dinner. Checked my sites. Made a phone call and got a printer working for about 20 minutes.
Started chapter 271. Got through the banter and such and we're about to roll initiative. But I wanted to do a little more fallout so now at 9:00 that's the plan.
Supposed to be quite rainy tomorrow.
Future Plans: Tomorrow is bank day and doing taxes as I visit my parents. Shouldn't only take all night.
Then Saturday at 5:00 is Sean, going to try for Pyre again, where did we leave off there? Huh.
Then nothing for Sunday as of yet. Hope to do more writing, but I probably won't finish the series yet. We'll see.
Hope everyone is enjoying their "spring." See you all next week two days before April.
