2017-03-03:
Fri:
Not much improvement I fear.
Got through work, looked through the test cases, made sure everything had been tested. Ran a few things. Blew my nose a lot.
Got to the bank, did the shopping, and got cat food.
Dinner at my parent's house.
Then came back here, put stuff away, 6 calls? You've got to be kidding me. Turned out to be "only" 4 well too bad, suckers. Tomorrow I'm spending the day in bed if I can manage it. Did NOT make calls. Checked my sites, took my ancient medicine and went to bed at 8:00.
Sat/Sun
Spent the majority of the days in bed. Haven't done that in forever. Did the one minor job on Sunday morning getting a Facebook password and checking a machine over.
Otherwise it was watching the rest of Macross Delta, all of Re:Zero, reading some comic books, and napping.
Feeling better, and my nose running is gone. Still headachey though, probably because of my odd sleep schedule. Hopefully a good night's sleep tonight will clear it. I've been waking up in the night too often.
Oh, about the 4 calls, it was just the one today and tomorrow from that. I got the lady's printer issue solved (the stupid windows "use printer offline" trick it always seems to do) and the other had already fixed itself.
Weather today was crappy, snowed, but then the sun came out and melted it all. Yay!
Checked my sites, cleaned up the place a little, got ready for an early bedtime again tonight. Being sick- you can have it!
The hardest part will be burning all my clothes and blankets and stuffed animals. I don't have to burn the cats do I? Better look that up.
How do I burn a waterbed? That one's gonna be tricky.
Wait, I don't have to burn anything?
Mon:
Far better today, hardly any nose blowing at all, and the minor headache I woke up with faded as the day went on. How about that?
Upgraded my printers, realized something that was supposed to happen after 72 hours wasn't, and wrote up bug 100! and 101! for this project. Nice.
I also added an export to text file function in the paragon 2 program. Whoops.
I mean, work work work.
Went to my after work job. I thought it was about a cleanout, but he was having trouble getting his scanner to work. Also I felt dirty as he wanted a new version of McAfee put on. Had to change his password three times, despite it saying special characters were fine and accepting it and emailing him the password had been changed it wasn't until I took out the "$" that it actually worked. Stupid McAfee.
Came back here, ate dinner, only one call- he put in a new processor and now his machine is dead. Whoops. He's brining it to me so that's a fine thing indeed. Wonder what the heck he did…
Worked on Chapter 256, got a bunch done but not totally done yet. Had to research what Luna brought with her, and some other things. But I'm back at it.
Tues:
Couple of meetings today. First the general AT&T one, going over some stuff, took longer than that meeting usually takes.
Then after that almost immediately to the first group meeting. Not much of direct interest to me. Lots of "how we're making money" talk. Yeah, I'm not making that- oh you mean Xerox. Right.
Then back to doing nothing.
Went out to my Thursday appointment because I'm an idiot. Usually I write the date on the top when it's not the next day. But I somehow thought I had a tuesday appointment when I did not. Because as I said before I'm an idiot. As I was standing there (for a half hour) I came to realize this was the place I was supposed to be two days from then. I went back home. Just an hour of my life wasted.
Ate dinner, checked my sites. One call, dentist guy saying he was logging in but it was going dark? Finally got him to restart in safe mode, which worked. I wanted then safe mode with networking to run mbam but as usual directions were NOT followed and he just logged in normally. It worked? So I had him run it there. Thought I had changed his machine to an SSD, but it seemed to take way longer than I thought. Another reboot and it was still fine, so whatever. You know MS, always a new trick. So another half an hour shot.
Did manage to finish Chapter 256, so that's something right?
Ugh, it's March now so I have to do 2 months worth of paperwork and get my sales tax sent in. So fun.
A job for tomorrow to be sure.
Wed:
It was done! But before that, there was work, I guess. Most everyone has a cold now? Oops?
Wrote one bug up, just a continuation of one that's already in progress. Mainly just a holding action at this point. The final release is coming the 3rd (or being built then, and then released for the 6th? I'm not clear on that)
So pointless to test anything at this point, I'll need to do the whole thing on the final release.
No job, so came home and did paperwork. Very few jobs for February, but it's traditionally been slow. Not many jobs for January if it comes down to numbers. Sigh.
Or yay?
Windy, but it was near 60 earlier. Going to be pretty nasty again now though.
No calls, so I get to go to the place I went to tuesday like an idiot.
Worked on Chapter 257.
Thurs:
Hardly anything work related to report. Just waiting for the final release to start testing.
Went back to the place I went Tuesday. Despite his insistence he had unplugged and replugged, he admitted to only seeing one cable there. Yeah, you need two cables. Power and USB. Plugging the USB cable in magically made the printer work. Imagine that.
Came back here, ate dinner. Finished 257. Made a call, it seems windows live mail can't actually open .eml files? It can save them, but double clicking brings up… nothing. Great, just great MS. Well done yet again.
Got ready for tomorrow, which entailed getting the garbage around basically.
Don't think we'll have the final version tomorrow, they're still fixing something I guess.
No bank, not worth it. Will go shopping and of course see my parents.
Saturday plans are to see Sean, no calls yet so hopefully pretty quiet.
Happy March everyone. It's back to being nasty outside, sorry about that.
