Fri:
Got through today pretty easily. The first of course was the power supply, which I hope works out for her. I mean it's working, but her son WAY overbuilt that machine. I guess so they could play games on it, but seriously, there's a gaming PC sitting right next to it. The point is, it has (had) a 700watt power supply while mine was only a 450. It needed a second plug into the video card and luckily I had an adapter cable from somewhere to use. So it's working, I just hope it supplies enough power to the card when the games need it.

Came back here, got the fan thankfully, waited around until 3:00.

Watched the "forgotten princess" video, The Dark Cauldron, it gave me a fantastic idea for what Hades wants Susan to do. She's not going to be happy about it…

Changed the fan, that went fine. Of course he had a page full of stuff (crap) for me to answer, which I did. He also wanted a bunch of stuff ordered, like a power cable and the feet for the laptop and a battery. So I'll have to go back there.

Went from there to my parent's house, then back here.

Finished up the Dark Souls II video I was watching.

Oh, and I think I'm going to Sean's tomorrow? He asked last night but I didn't hear the phone beep. I replied this morning, and his reply was, and I kid you not: "k." So yeah I don't know.

Time for Dark Souls.

Sat:
The one job in the morning went fine. Ran the standard cleanout procedure, oddly though RR mail was acting up. Tried it on his phone and it still gave an error so it wasn't the machine.

Back here, inched my way through Sen's fortress in Dark Souls, then left for Sean's.

Just as I got in the car he texted me, Stan wasn't coming.

But Neil was there, so we did board games and some mario kart with him. I did poorly at all these things.

Sun:
Cut the front lawn, then filled the cracks in the driveway with the liquid stuff I had left over. I'm hitting them both types this year. Next week, rain permitting, I'll use up the more solid stuff and go over them again. Then a week from that we can do the whole darn driveway. So… many… crack… Took a good 2 hours or more to get them all. Had just enough stuff, too.

Finished chapter 172.

Then had a hankering to watch some Andromeda, so I did.

Not many calls this week, sad face.

Mon:
Something came to me, driving down the street to do the shopping today. There are a lot of places to eat along that road. Like, lots of places.

Burger King
Five Guys
Subway
Two pizza places (directly across from each other)
Buffalo Wild Wings
Moes
Atlantic Steak
Bill Grays
Frozen yogurt place
ice cream place
Jimmy John's
Panera Bread

All on one stretch of road! I just want to know how all these places survive with so much competition, that's all. I mean they just built that Wendy's there, did no one drive down the street and see the other dozen restaurants and think, "maybe we should pick a road without so much competition?"

Well, whatever.

Shopping was delayed by appointment number two. Didn't come to the door, had to call her. Then she had to leave at 11:00 so I was rather rushed. It was a Vista machine with 1GB of RAM. Ugh. I did what I could.

Then after lunch I had gotten the rest of the accountant's stuff so I went over there to install it. So that worked out.

Stock market has been falling for some bizarre reason. You don't want to know the total of my fund at the moment. It's pathetic. Aarg!

Worked on chapter 174.

Finished it! As it's the 24th and I've done 12 chapters this month, that's an average of 1 every 2 days. Neat.

My goodness I need more work.

I've got a few for tomorrow, so that's good.

Tues:
First one went fine. Just putting the fan and keyboard in, nothing else.

Which is what you would expect from the second one, where I was dropping off the battery and power cord. Nope. First of all I have two different screwdriver sets. One of them has 97 of the things. 97. Nine times ten plus seven. One hundred minus three.

Still didn't have a bit small enough for the screws on the iPhone. AARG.

To make matters worse, he's got another whole page of stuff for me to look into. Seriously, I was just there last week, so with the 1.5 hours today that's about 3-4 hours I've been there in two weeks. And as usual it's all stuff no one has ever cared about, so I had to look things up. You can look things up too! Really!

Finally out out of there and got home to eat lunch.

Then over to the cleanout. That went fine. Just standard stuff.

And came back here. Ordered a screwdriver for the iPhone.

Got some calls today, two just now sitting here three minutes apart from two different people. If you don't believe a morphic field exists… I pity you.

Inched some more through Sen's, actually made it to Andor Londo!

Wed:
Morning went fine. Just setting up the new laptop. She didn't give me the old unit, boo hiss!

Came back here, watched more Andromeda, ate lunch, then went out at 2:30.

Picked up the macbook, which so far is running fine.

Both were very quick, the first guy said he hadn't seen the BSOD that day, and I didn't really find anything with the normal scans.

The later guy just had an IE website loop going, he couldn't close the window because another would open. I killed the whole process and his machine too was clean.

Finally got the Apple Hardware Test to run. The fujistu tool just gave me a weird error. Wish it let me pick what I wanted. I don't care about a memory test, just the HD. It's sort of making a weird noise.

And got a call from the lady who wanted the long web thing put to CD a few weeks ago. She said to just break it in half, so I did. Made those disks, but she wants them Monday.

Thurs:
Just one job today. Had to go back to someplace I had recently been, as they somehow messed their email up… again. Didn't take long.

Stopped in to the lawyer's office, but she wasn't there.

So I came back here.

Looked at the Mac some more, it passed the HD test after I hooked it to my machine downstairs. Guess I'll just give it back to him with a warning about keeping his stuff backed up.

Then worked on chapter 174.

It was slow going. Another combat, and I had to make up the "spells" as I went along. I really want to write some epic battles for her but I guess I just don't have the imagination. I basically allowed them to do whatever they wanted with magic, but I still feel what they did wasn't all that great. Oh well.

Got no calls today. Yup, not one. Sigh.

Got a second battery from iFixit for some reason. They emailed me a label to send it back. Weird.

So no work for tomorrow? Odd. Always have work on a Friday. No plans for the weekend either, my goodness I'm boring.

Well, there's one plan. Going over the cracks with the more solid stuff. The liquid stuff has, as anticipated, sunk in so now we smooth over it. There's also a hole and a depression I want to fill in, so that'll be done… Sunday, it seems like it's going to be warmer. There are clouds in the little weather widget, and of course it has to dry so can't do it if it's going to rain. I guess we'll see.

May have one job tomorrow, I emailed someone back.

Time for some Dark Souls.
