Fri:
Friday the 13th, nothing too bad happened to me. Hope that's the case for all you out there as well.

Did some jobs. First one at 9:30 didn't have any of the problems she said. First she said her hard drive was full, no, she still had 156 GB left. And she said her internet went up and down, I was there for over an hour and it was fine. Granted, I did get rid of their "extension" which I think was messing them up.

Passed Grandma's old house, they got a huge fence in the yard now, starting from the end of the property and extending to the house. Sheesh.

My next one wasn't there. Thanks a bunch. I came home to eat.

Going back out I put that power supply in, that was easy. Then over to look at an email issue. Turns out to be RR, and a known issue impacting certain people, I guess. I could log in on her machine, but she couldn't. Plus every RR page was plastered with 'email down' so that was a pretty big tip off.

Called the 11:30 guy, he was there so I went all the way back. Odd mbam crash with the newest version. When it tried to get updates- that was it for it. Done. Sigh. Otherwise, talked about iPads, took off McAfee, that sort of thing.

Over to feed my parent's animals, and more proofing. Got so close to the end! aarg.

Sat:
Finished! Made all the new ebooks and got them published. Now to start on the physical copies.

Got a bunch of the way through, but not all. Getting there.

Went to RIT at 5:30, did IV. It went okay, Sean had the usual "It didn't go like I expect" which he should have expected. Not sure how it would have gone differently, honestly. Maybe he wanted us to try fighting the dozen soldiers that teleported in? No, I'm not an idiot.

Well, I am, but…

DONE AND ORDERED.

Yup, all 6 of them. Now let's just hope that's the last proof I need and I can finally approve them.

They better be.

Not many calls over the weekend, but I have a good amount of work for tomorrow.

My parents got home safely, so that's good.

Mon:
Three jobs today, one which was quite short.

Shopping, as normal. No troubles there.

The first job was a cleanout, also signed them up for netflix. It's only $9 a month, how about that. Is that a promotional rate? Seems inexpensive for streaming all the movies you can watch.

Then the short one, not far away. He just needed some pointers, I hope he remembers them all. He didn't really write anything down. It was simple stuff.

Came back here, started proofing Lonely Divide. Well, I went to do it, but then wondered where the character sheets were from the story. Still have no clue. This was one of my earliest works. It shows, it's going to need some editing, as the initial grammar check shows. At least I'm going to go about doing it in the right way this time.

Anyway, out to the third, another cleanup. Man, was her system choked up with crap.

Back here, more proofing, ate. Got a ton of calls one right after the other but not really much work for tomorrow. Sigh.

Finished the grammar check, tomorrow I can start having it read to me. It's 98,220 words so it's a long one!

Tues:
Warm today.

Did some work, mostly in the afternoon. The first afternoon job was a cleanout, though I originally thought it was just a driver issue. How do people let their machines get that much crap installed? So much for the security measure of UAC I guess. Man, it was bad.

Stopped over at the mortgage place, she was sending email again so that was fine.

Then stopped by the lawyer place to see if his new, bigger antenna worked out. It had, so I got paid for that.

Coming back here I got a call from the mortgage place, now she isn't on the internet anymore. Sigh.

Otherwise did proofing of Lonely Divide. Have my proofs shipped yet?

Wed:
Apparently yes! Now, will I get them tomorrow?

Not much really scheduled for today, but I did go some places. In the morning, mostly.
Went to see about the mortgage lady, that was sort of off. Her machine was getting a self assigned IP address.

I messed about and reset her hub of all things, even though another machine plugged into the hub was fine. Figure that one out, it worked.

Then over to get my mouse back. The iMac obviously has a bad HD, she says it's clicking when it hangs. Sorry.

Then went back to redo a bunch of work for the lady I gave the new machine to last month. She called HP or something when her license went wonky, because of moving it from machine to machine. And she didn't call me why? Anyway, even though it's a dell now and not an HP they somehow directed her to system restore, which I of course had turned off. There was still a restore point from before the move, so it dutifully wiped out drivers, programs I had installed, the works. Super. Idiots. Then she calls me, when it's now worse then ever, and I could have easily solved her original problem over the phone.

I'm now up to 102/161 proofing Lonely Divide, and I should be doing some more a bit later.

Very busy day tomorrow, even some for Friday. Huh.

Thurs:
Today went pretty well, I got everywhere I wanted to be, when I wanted to be there.

Dropped off the 10 CDs I made and answered some questions first off.

Came back here to help a guy work through some issues on his laptop. Ate lunch, then went out again.
Setup a new PC at 1:30, that went just fine. Pretty far out though, lots of driving to get there.
A very odd Mac problem next. He was connected to the internet, and he could ping and see the router website. But he couldn't get any pages. I finally manually specified the DNS numbers, and that seemed to do it. Huh.

And dropped off the new backup drive last. Apparently they are not in the area for Greenlight, yet, which makes me sad. It stops not that far, so it may creep over soon. Creep it over to Webster next, would you?

Came home and did more proofing. Also have written a few more sentences into the thing, it's now 100,310 words. I'm up to 135/171 pages, so it should be done shortly. With my proofs arriving tomorrow, hopefully it'll be a good day, with the proofs looking perfect, and a couple of jobs. One at 12:00 and one at 5:00 (ugh) which is not far away. I also have to call someone at 6:00 to tell them how to make a new user account.

Then having Dad over for a movie at 7:00.

Game apparently Saturday, Demongate, no work so I might whip up something for us to eat?

Nice out, going to be near 70s for a few days. Could be warmer.
