Anyway, who am I to judge that individual. I'm sure he has a lot he could teach me. Yeah.

Went out and cleaned up a machine, oiled fans, vacuumed it out, the usual.
Then dropped off the monitor and keyboard to the headache lady.

That was pretty much all I had to do so I read more WORM, and went to see my parents in the afternoon.

Finished WORM!

Sat:
No jobs, so I mainly did reading and writing. With WORM completed I switched over to the second story wildbow is writing, Pact. Having caught up with that I worked on my own story. Also got a hankering to play some Halo again. Wanted to play Halo 4 the replacement to firefight, what's it called? Spartan Ops? But you need a gold account to play it. A single player game, mind you, and you need a gold account. Jerks.

Sun:
More writing. Put the clocks ahead so I got up kinda "late." Got up to 15,000 words in the story. Took a slightly different turn then what I had in the plan, and got an extra chapter out of it thus far. I'll need them, my estimate is way low at the moment, word wise. We'll see.

Not many calls, not that the 11 calls I had last weekend actually translated into anything.

Gonna be a fun week, what with doing taxes, having my car inspected, all of it.

At least I have a couple of jobs for tomorrow.

Mon:
Dropped off the laptop first thing, no troubles there. Then went shopping and got stuff for more Taco Soup. It's the week of my birthday, I'm allowed. I was going to get salad, but then thought, "no, soup." And that convinced me.

Worked on book 3, as I had finished reading it, so I was making the changes I wanted.

Took care of a few issues for my 1:00, then came back here.

Finished the changes and made a new ebook, put it on the kindle, I'll see if my mother wants to read it.

Made the glossary for it, too, I hadn't done that yet.

Left at 4:00 for a cleanout.

That went fine, got his machine all cleaned out.

More writing, what a shock. Actually went back over all three previous books because I remembered having trouble with then/than. I never used than, actually. So I went back and corrected all the places it should be.
Got up to 16,780 on book four, about to mess with some bikers that are messing up a park and causing problems for the resident fairy.

No real work for tomorrow, aarg. I got calls but I didn't reach one person, took care of another over the phone, and the third was talking to a scammer and now their laptop won't turn on. They couldn't have killed it hardware wise, could they? That doesn't seem possible. So I'm going to check it out in the mooring, but nothing more then that. I'll call the person I didn't reach though.

Supposed to get massive quantities of snow soon. Yay?

Tues:
Little bit more work then I expected today. My only "real" job was to see about this laptop for the lawyer guy, it wasn't turning on anymore. The little power light wouldn't go on when it was plugged in, and we even tried the adapter from his older one, which fit (just barely.) No luck.

But while I was there his paralegal said her hinge broke on her laptop (it had) and it was totally infected. I found and ordered the parts for the backing so it could be replaced, and cleaned it out.

Came back for lunch, found I had a message from the rebath people, haven't heard from them in quite a while. So I went over there because they're still calling for massive snow tomorrow.
Today was nice though, mid 50s, lots of melting.

Put him on a physical line because his wireless signal was very weak, did the standard stuff.

And of course did writing the rest of the time. Got up to 21079 words. As expected, a bit more then my initial estimate, so things are looking good.

I have a few possible jobs in the next few days, depending on weather and how fast my car inspection takes. Looking forward them both!

Wed:
Snow day! Honestly, the start of summer is next week, and we get a foot of snow? Ugh.

So I spent the day writing. I'm not going to use my fancy mathematics to muddy the issue, but I'm at 27,659 words, so you can do the subtraction yourself. That's two whole chapters today. Wow, I've done almost 30,000 words in less then a week. Imagine if I was a good writer! HA!

Thurs:
The weather was better, anyway.

So, as is the yearly tradition, I brought my car in for the inspection. Good news is, apart from the $1600 oil leak, which it was not necessary to repair to pass, no other problems were detected. No additional pylons needed to be constructed. How about that? I did have the air filter changed, I hadn't done it in years because I keep forgetting to tell them yearly and it's a pain to do it myself. (I tried it once.)

So I got it right back and was able to eat lunch and go out and do work.

Have I mentioned I hate windows lately? I do. The first one could boot in safe mode but he said gave him problems in normal mode. So, software issue, right?

Nope.

I left it doing the "repair" after booting from my Vista flash drive because it said it would take more then an hour and went over to the Radisson to see what they were having trouble with. Cleaned out a machine, talked about upgrades for their machine. (Yeah, putting Win7 on a single processor p4 PC with a max of probably 2GB of RAM. Uh, no.)

When I got back it had BSOD and now didn't boot in safe mode either.
So I ran the WD tool which came back ten seconds later with a read error. Great.

So why, if it was hardware, did the machine boot in one mode but not another? Trying to pin down a PC problem is like trying to catch a butter coated eel with only one chopstick.

Got home at about 6:30 and ate dinner. Had an Xbox 360 with a bad laser dropped off, so I tore that apart so I could be sure I could replace it.

Made some calls. Three for Saturday, haven't done any work Saturday in some weeks. Should be fun. 9:30, 11:30 and 2:00 not far from here. Then over to Sean's for board games.

Two places to go tomorrow morning, then over to my parent's house to do taxes. Possibly eat some kind of meal, maybe celebrate something, I don't know. Mostly taxes.

Picking something up at Rebath, and seeing what "cable" he was talking about. Then not far away to do a cleanout.

No writing today. I need to figure out if I want to stick to the script or do something else. I feel like I might rush the end, doing it like I do, but then, it's a rushed situation. Oh well, we'll see.

Going to make sure I have all the tax stuff around, get ready for tomorrow, and such. Think about plot.
