2012-07-15:
Weird week. Very, very weird week. Normal amount of work on monday.
Then tuesday, where we crammed 7 people into one day.
Then nothing for wednesday and thursday. Then one Friday and two saturday.
You can't explain that.
Speaking of Saturday I went in the morning to someone who would not articulate that their internet was down. He kept going on about outlook express. When I got there, oh look, you have no sync light on your modem. Thanks for uselessly getting me here.
Tried to give a laptop back, but they weren't around, so thanks for that.
Otherwise the jobs I had went pretty well. Upgraded a Mac from 10.4 to 10.6. A couple of clean outs. Went over to Rebath, haven't worked for them in quite a while. Let's see, sold him a switch, some ethernet cable and a RAM chip. He was having trouble printing and was using a USB extension cable, but his printer was ethernet ready. So I made it so. He runs a lot of stuff at once, and of course Firefox eats the RAM up like nothing else, so hopefully that will solve his "speed" problem.
My hands have not been idle while here watching the phone. After my pony wall project post my mother said I should try making something like that to sell, so I've been working on this:

Basically a piece of 30x40 foamboard with one side cut off because it had a banged corner. They had like 20 of them and they all had the same banged corner. Anyway, as I want to sell it I was much more careful with the coloring and I think it came out looking pretty good. The blue I bought for her hair didn't turn out very blue at all, my only real complaint.
I made this today

Which you may be familiar with if you've been reading this blog long, I made one for my father a long time ago. I think I may have posted that? Humm.
I also made a mess of stickers and magnets featuring (what else) ponies I hope sell. They won't make me much, but I had fun making them, and every little bit helps.
Busy day planned for tomorrow, at least four places to go, and the shopping. One is just getting his blue ray player online, a five minute job, so that shouldn't be too bad.
Well, I got a laptop dropped off that isn't booting (by a cute, my age Vietnamese girl, yes thank you very much) so I'm going to go look at it. It just shows the initial logo, and it's been sitting there for five minutes "entering setup" so something major is wrong.
